GIRLS WEEKEND GETAWAY

What a fun weekend Halle and I had! My neice had a dance competition on Saturday in St. George so us girls used it as an excuse to get some sun! My mom, sisters and 2 neices went. We had so much fun! Thanks guys for a fun, relaxing weekend!

There was a boys high school tennis tournament this weekend also. You should have seen all the boys checking out Janna (the blonde)!! It took me back to high school spring break with my hottie friends (Kara, Niki, Nikki, Wendy, Hilary, Anna) GOOD TIMES!!

We all got pedicures! We bombarded the little Asian ladies.

Halle refused to swim. She was afraid her toe nail polish would come off. What a girl!!?!! She is such a little model! I love her to pieces!

HAPPY EASTER!!

HAPPY EASTER!!
sorry it's so late, I was having computer difficulties! Hope everyone had a great easter! Sorry about the pictures being sideways, I still haven't figured that one out! I'm laughing though, picturing all of you with your heads turned sideways!!

Hey there everyone! I wanted to let you know that I have bean trying to post Easter pictures and for some reason blogger isn't letting me download any? It is saying that I'm either typing it in wrong (which I'm doing the same as I always do) or it is out of date. Any helpful hints?

Easter Eggs!

Is is possible to burn easter eggs, cuz I think I did! I was blogging and forgot about them!

For my strange husband!

I apologize firsthand for the picture below. My husband is a little strange. He's a major hunter. I knew this when I married him so I really can't complain to much. Him and Caden love to do this together. He made me put this on our blog (mostly so Chad could see it!) Anywho, Steve and 11 of his friends/co-workers went wild boar hunting in Idaho. Here is A picture to prove it. Sorry if you have a weak stomach.

Isn't it a beauty. At least this one won't go on our walls. Here's the WT part of the story. Steve used to want to be a vet when he was little, so naturally he loves gutting the animals he kills. (i know, he's a wierdo) Anyway, when they got home, Caden came in the front door with a ziploc bag. Guess what was in it? The pigs HEART! And what did Caden say? "Mom, can I take this for show-n-tell?"

What a stud!!

Speaking of doing fun things with each individual kid (see post below), we finally found a Saturday to teach Caden how to ski. We have wanted to for so long but just didn't seem to have a free day. So, thanks to my wonderful mom for watching Halle and Carson, we were able to take him. Steve is an excellent skiier and very patient. He was dead set on teaching Caden himself. And he did. Of course, Caden caught on very quickly (Halle may be another story!) He did so good. It took him 1 run to get the feel of the "A" and then he was good to go. We stayed on the bunny hill for quite a while (Deer Valley has great bunny hills) and after lunch, we ventured to the bigger lifts. Caden did so good. Him and Steve had to wait for me, I'm a little more cautious now that I have 3 chillens depending on me. Steve even took Caden on a pretty steep hill that I went around.

There is something about watching your child learn and succeed. We were the proudest parents ever. We could have skiied the bunny hills all day as long as we got to watch Caden, cheer him on and just be with him. What a fun day!

getting the feel of it with the help of a wonderful dad

By the end, he was crusin' down the hill!

$18 Picture

Do you ever feel like when you do things as a family, that it is more of a fight and craziness than it is fun. Well, Steve and I feel that way, especially when Carson is with us. It seems like all we do is discipline him, change diapers, clean up after him and watch so he doesn't run away. Anyway, we have found that to spend quality time with our older ones, Caden and Halle, that we have to do things more one on one with them. It gives us more time to talk, laugh and just have fun. Steve and Caden are always doing fun things together; hunting, Lake Powell fishing, etc. This has nothing to do with my expensive picture. So it was mine and Halles turn (Steve and Caden were hunting.) She was so excited to go see Disney Princesses on Ice. I bought 3 tickets so she could take a friend. Steve took Caden and a friend to the Monster Truck show in February. Anyway, I packed my huge camera with the awesome lens into the Delta Center. I got Halle and her little friend, Taevey, all posed and smiling and of course, the camera battery was dead. NO PICTURES!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? I was so excited to get pictures of the princesses and of the look on Halles face as she watched her favorite, Jasmine. So I got stuck with paying $18 for this one. Oh well, at least she'll know we were there.

We loved 10,000 B.C.

Tonight my wonderful mom and dad had the kids sleep over. They do this quite a lot, the kids love it and my parents know to take advantage of it while they can. Anyway, it gave Steve and I a chance to go on a date. Yeahh!!!! We decided to go see "10,000 B.C. It was so good, and I usually only like romantic comedies. It was so intense, I could just feel my blood pressure going up. It made me so grateful to live now and not back then. I can't believe that kind of life ever happened. Scary. It's a must see! Let me know what you think!

Best Friends!

So our morning routine everyday is, the kids wake up at 7ish and turn the TV on to watch cartoons (I have set the channel before I go to bed the night before.) They let me sleep till 7:30ish. Well, this morning I got up and normally I see all the kids playing or watching TV in the living room. Well I walked out of my room to this...

It was so cute. Halle and Carson were in Halles bed just singing and talking to each other. I love it! Oh, the only way Carson can get onto her bed (because it is to high) is to climb on her chair which takes him to her nightstand, and onto the bed. Gotta love em'!

After they saw me and I got the picture, they started posing...

And making out...

We traded Bella...

For Daisy...

<

My wonderful husband brought home a puppy (Bella) 2 weeks before Christmas. She is a miniature daschund. We have loved Bella and gave it our all, but in the end, we have learned that A: Daschunds are impossible to potty train; and B: we are not inside dog type of people. I feel terrible but I cannot do the poop and pee in my house anymore. Between Carson and Bella, I was cleaning up poop all day long. I started thinking and when we have another baby, I do not want to worry if the dog is around it or if the carpet is to dirty to let the baby crawl around. I like to think of myself as someone who doesn't give up, but I just couldn't to it anymore. Anyway, high fives all around to all you who have inside dogs; not for me! So...we couldn't get rid of a puppy without replacing it. My brothers dog had puppies and my kids have been loving on them since they were 1 week old. My awesome mom and dad said they would take Bella(my mom has the patience for her) and we could have one of Chris' puppies. Daisy is a coon hound mix. Best of all, she will be an outside dog, to play with in the backyard and take camping. She will be so good for our 9 year old chocolate lab, Nellie. It was a hard decision but in the end it will be better.
