Love is in the air...

8 years ago, today, Ryan and I got hitched!

It seems like just yesterday...oh, how simple life used to be. :)

3 kids later and...wow, time flies!

So, here's to us!....successfully overcoming the 7 year itch!

dang...we're HOT!

it's about...time!

okay...so I know it's been a few weeks, but..... :) It's summer!..maybe not officially, but close enough. I don't know about you, but I would love to find a place that was about 65-70 degrees year round and set up shop! I am a spring and fall kinda girl and this 80+ weather is kickin' my buns. Luckily we now live around a ton of trees, but still...come on. I'll take it over the snow, though. Enough complaining....

We had a fab memorial weekend. While others were flocking to the cemetaries, we chose to remember our loved ones in our hearts and go 4-wheeling! My brother invited us to a place out passed Santaquin and we had tons of fun. Michael was a gem and taught Sawyer how to ride the little one and you could hardly get him off! He loved it and asks me daily if we can buy some 4 wheelers. (the answer is no!) :) a few picks from the weekend...

The last one is Sawyer crying because we had to go home. After 2 days he still wasn't prepared! :)

Well, in a week and a half, I'm off to Oregon...minus little ones...for my first time away since I became the mom of three little crazies (whom I love dearly). I'm just a little bit excited. :) Ryan is staying home with the kids so I can go visit my sister. I'll let ya know how it goes.

fun times in the pool....

I am soooo over the winter! I can't stand the snow any longer. I asked Ryan the other day what he thought about me going out with a blowdryer and melting all the snow...he thought I would look crazy. So, I haven't gone that route yet. Don't want to embarass the hubby! :) Anyways, to get me out of my winter blues I have taken the kiddies swimming 2 times in the last 5 days. They love it and have so much fun. I also LOVE being in a swimsuit in front of complete strangers...one of the many times in my life that I have to swallow my pride (that's a big swallow) and take one for the team. seriously people..this body does not belong in swimsuit material. Luckily, my kids don't judge me and that should be all that matters. Sadly....for me, it's not. enough about that. just a few cute pics of the kidlets...thanks to my cousin Kalli for the pics. :) Don't you just want to squish them?

just a little over 18 months ago...

The babies turned 18 months yesterday and for those of you in the LDS world...this is HUGE! So, I got to thinking about what a huge change my life has taken since the babies were born and then I got to thinking how HUGE I was whilst pregnant with those little beasts and thought about how there is lots to be grateful for, but mostly I need to be grateful that I don't have to carry around this anymore...

hahaha. seriously how can a belly get that big? No more complaining about how big all you little people got when you were pregnant. I win. I beat you all! :)...and don't even get me started on the whole swelling thing....

oh..and no comments on the stretch marks..I still got those bad boys. :)

Goals...

Ryan and I gave eachother our goals last night and so I thought that I would share my pain with all of you....

So...I actually got three from Ryan. He gave me two and I said one of them didn't count because he thought he would be the better person and put one of mine as "taking time for myself." Okay that is all nice and everything, but totally against the rules. Not to mention the fact that it makes me look insensitive that I didn't think to do anything like that. I just wrote out my 2 goals for him and didn't look back. :)

So here is what Ryan would like me to work on...

1. Keep the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom clean.
2. Be more patient and understanding and don't read into every little thing that is said.

Now those of you who really know me are not going to be too shocked by these. I definately struggle with the housecleaning. I try, but obviously not hard enough. :) and the patience thing is a given. There is a little bit more to #2, but I can't divulge that info on this blog. (don't worry Marie...I will tell you.) :)

We decided that we could be mature adults about this and not get offended by what we were given. I think that we both took it very well....But if you see Ryan in the next couple of days....just act like you don't notice the black eye!

New Year's Resolutions

I know that it is almost the middle of January, but I had yet to make any real new year's resolutions. you know...other than the never ending WEIGHTLOSS one. ( my friends, that's a given, I'm not in denial) :) Anyways, I wanted to choose something that would be really helpful to me and my family. I had read somewhere that a couple had decided to choose new year's goals for eachother and I was intrigued by this idea.

Ryan and I talked about it last night and decided that it might be kinda interesting and fun. So, we have today to decide on 2 things that we would like for the other one to work on this year...and no one can get offended. (this will be the hard part because, honestly, I don't really have anything to work on) wink, wink. :)

So wish us luck...
we might be divorced by tomorrow! :)

unconditional love...

So... this week the babies have entered the terrible two tantrum stage. They will be 18 months at the end of this month and have decided to start gearing up. I remember this with Sawyer...he started about 6 months early too....I'm still waiting for his terrible two's to end. (hee hee)

This morning Quinn started screaming and crying about nothing (I'm sure Beck had something to do with it, he usually does these days :) ) and I flicked Quinn on the mouth and told him that he couldn't scream. He of course cries harder so I pick him up and give him a hug. He lays his head on my shoulder and I go to put him down. He squeezes my shoulders tighter so I won't put him down and then lays his head back down and starts to pat my back with both of his hands! :) by the end of this I'm not thinking much about that terrible tantrum, just how freakin' cute he is. Ya gotta love it!

just between you and me...I think he probably planned the whole thing. :)

Today is just NOT my day...

So the day began at 6:20 when Quinn woke up SCREAMING...I totally feel like poo...Beck and I have had colds for about 4 days now and Quinn decided to join the club yesterday :) So, I guess he wasn't feeling great, ( neither am I, but was I screaming?!.....he's definately a bit more of a drama queen than the rest of us) :) So...not the best wake up call. After breakfast we head up the stairs and Quinn decides to get a little crazy near the top and falls down to the bottom. So, we get him calmed down and make sure that nothing is broken and no concussion. I decide that since we are moving soon, I will go through the bathroom closet and get it organized...the babies decide to get into my nail polish and play with all the colors... I think...no big deal. I did not think that Quinn would slam two together and shatter one of them all over the bathroom floor and the carpet outside the door. :(....totally my fault..I should not have let them play with them...so I decided to put the babies in their cribs while I clean up and attempt to get it out of the carpet. They hate this idea and cry for the entire hour that I am doing this. I decide to give up for now and take the babies out and go downstairs and get them some lunch. Beckett decides to push Quinn down the stairs...AGAIN! Oh my gosh...can this get any worse....YES...at lunch Sawyer thinks it would be fun to pull Beck up to the table while I am getting him a drink...and Beckett thinks it would be fun to pull off the big cup of milk on the table and spill it all over the floor!...all of this and it's not even 11:30! :) Bedtime anyone?
