stART on the Street - Sunday, September 21

So, the fair was a success, and so much fun! Thanks to everyone who came to say hi :) I didn't get a chance to walk around and see all of the booths. It was unusually hot out, so there were tons of people stopping in our shady booth ;)

I wish I had more photos to share, but I really only had time to take some pictures of our booth. I was so happy with the way it came out! It was all a last second set-up, as my original plan didn't pan out (or I should say.. didn't fit in the car LOL).

In the morning... It was so weird to be standing in the middle of Park Ave. I've certainly never done THAT before.. haha!

My side of the booth... (That's my son checking out "mommy's work.") ;)

My card racks that I made from some FABULOUS finds at the Christmas Tree Shops! They are picture frames on expandable stands. I used panoramic sized acrylic frames (upside down) and attached them to the frames with black velcro, for shelves. LOVE IT!!!! They are about 5 feet tall!

My table (I could have used two to spread everything out.) where I had necklaces, magnets, my custom portfolio book, mailing list sign-ups, original artwork, bookmarks, and some mobiles hanging on a swirly metal stand. I also had mobiles hanging from above, all around the booth.

Our booth. That's my dad of Ed's Old House Three Deckers standing in there. ;)

My dad's three deckers. He donated all of his proceeds to Massachusetts Veterans, Inc. (which is a group that helps homeless Veterans.) These houses are made from scrap woods.. I mean.. "recycled wood" :)

More three-deckers.

Our booth was near the end of the line, but the fair stretched for a couple of blocks. This was near the end of the day, but it was still busy with people!

Heading home. Park Ave back to normal.. Too bad :)

A photo I used to make promotional postcards about the event. My dad and I are planning on signing up for stART at the Station. It will be another big fair to be held in December. Check the stART on the Street website for more information (to be listed soon!)

Home...

Something I've been working on that's been on my mind for a while... These look like the house I grew up in (in Worcester, MA). Worcester is known for "three-deckers." Many of them are being redone with closed in porches, or porches taken right off... Sad, but safety concerns rule for property owners. Too bad.
Always home to me.
