Spring Inspirations...

I'm not really big on the outdoors, but this week I've been doing yardwork, gardening even (!!) and getting inspired by the colors I see popping out around me... I've also been working on a bunch of custom orders. I love when someone gets me thinking of something new!

Here the customer requested a "boy version" of my cupcake head girl... I really like the way it came out! :)

Here a customer requested some custom paintings (4x6's and 5x7) based on this card. We ended up conversing back and forth via e-mail... She sent me photos of family members, and I sent her sketches. It is always a challenge to work with someone on a piece of art when they are not in front of you! :)

Here are the paintings ready to be packaged for mailing.

I'm Still Here!

I haven't been posting much lately... but I've been really busy! My next plan is to build a "light box" for taking better photos. My pictures are so dark, and don't bring out the true, bright colors of my cards. I also just discovered the "macro" function on my camera for taking more detailed, close-up pictures... Hopefully I'll get some time to do this soon... I have a pile of spring cards ready to go!

I also just completed a set of 40 custom baby shower invitations... I was given a theme of butterflies or fairies, pink, and purple for a girl. The cards are going to be used as shower favors by keeping them blank, and a print-out with the shower information placed inside them. They will be mailed out with their matching envelopes, and placed inside a larger envelope so the recipient can re-use the card! Here's a look at the finished set:

Move Over Winter...

Time to put away the Christmas trees, and look forward to Spring! I'm thinking about Valentines and Springtime happiness in my work now. I've had enough of snowmen until next year ;)
