Paper Issues: January Swag Bag

Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back for more Paper Issues delights with

I know I say this every month - but truly the Swag Bags are like bags of gold!
Hidden treasures that seem to last for ages!
I am still creating with the fabulous September Swag Bag - I know, there was just SO much goodness stashed in that bag!

Here's what I created....

"FUN"

And isn't it just FUN indeed!
As I was almost at the end of my bag, I have used a few extra items on my layout -  the cutfile is called Open Hearts and is a FREE download from the Paper Issues store, and I have also used some sequins, thread, watercolour splatter, & that cute bow.
Everything else you see is from the September Swag Bag!
WOW! Bag of gold for sure!!!

As most of my left over paper pieces were 3x4 cards, I used the cut file to make it appear like more.
You'll spy treaures from Maggie Holmes Gather collection, Shimelle: Go Now Go, Pretty Little Studio, Pinkfresh Studio & Paige Taylor Evans / Pink Paislee's Take Me Away line. So much pretty!!!
Let's take a closer look.....

How pretty are the pastel hues?!! I love how everything coordinates so beautifully!

I love the gold foil specialty papers from Pinkfresh Studio - I fussy cut that heart so it would better fit my page. Gorgeous!

The ephemera pieces in this Swag Bag are just too cute!
I even used the Pretty Little Studio tab strip on my layering.....

Yep. She's my pretty little happy place! Love her to bits!

And I hope you liked my take on Swag Bag inspiration!

Paper Issues: Swag Bag Love!

Hi Creative Friends!

Time for a little Swag Bag love with Paper Issues!!!
Do you swag bag? It's kinda like a lil sampler goodie bag filled with scrapbook treats!
(or a mini kit if you like!)

I used the August Swag Bag for my layout today - you'll spy tasters of Pink Paislee's Take Me Away, Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Day, Dear Lizzy Saturday & even a bit of Crate Paper too! ;)

Each Swag Bag varies slightly but that's kinda the fun too!
A genuine surprise package everytime - Love it!!!
But enough chatter, here's what I created with mine!

"JOY"

Isn't this the sweetest?!
I picked up on the coordinating lemon and soft aqua in the mixed bag.
Such a delicate and pretty colour scheme!
Just so you know, the only items not from the Swag Bag are my cardstock, cotton thread, stencil & ink.
I know,  that's a whole lot of lovely from the Swag Bag then!
Even that die cut doily, tassel, and mirror shapes are from my Swag Bag! Gotta love it!
(& I still have enough left over for another 2 layouts easy!)
Fabulous!
Here's a few close ups of this super sweet layout....

How cool are the coloured wooden shapes from the Take Me Away collection?!!

That stunning bow (& coordinating paper) are also from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away collection. Swoon!
That divine tassel is signature Crate Paper style!!!

Love that arrow paperclip - perfect for scrapping or planners ;)

Naww! Love these two & this layout of them is just the sweetest!!!
And love me a Swag Bag or three too!

Paper Issues: Product Spotlight: Pink Paislee - Take Me Away

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

It's time for another Paper Issues Product Spotlight & today we're showcasing the super gorgeous; Pink Paislee's (Paige Taylor Evans designed) Take Me Away collection!

Think pretty pastels and florals, meets bold, bright rainbow patterns - so FUN!!!

Here's my latest layout with this delightful burst of colour,

"PRETTY"

Love this! That title is completely spot on, she's so PRETTY!
Adore this girl!
This was a very special moment we were celebrating too - she had just been presented an award for her artwork, which was on exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia!
(I know, awesome achievement for someone who's only 10!)
Anyways, with that milestone in mind, the journal card,
"The best dreams happen while you are awake" seemed a perfect match!
The rest of her special story is documented in a private letter which I have attached to the back of this layout. I like to keep somethings special and private, just for us!
But I can share some close ups with you....

How fabulous are the colouful Thickers in this collection?! Super fun!

I  have also used the Thicker Accessory stickers, Wooden Shapes, Buttons & Decorative Pins in this collection - sweet embellies for any scrapbook page!!!

Take Me Away is definitely prettiness overload!

I hope you liked this layout!

Anyways, here's a few close up shots....

Lovely indeed!

How fun and playful are the coloured veneers?!!

Paper Issues: September: Mix It Up Monday

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for a little more Paper Issues fun!
Today's Mix It Up Monday
is all about using up those messy mixed media scraps for a new layout ;)
I had a few strips of an old hot pink, orange and yellow watercolour background that I knew would work beautifully for this challenge -
Here's what I created with those scraps,
(& the new Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Take Me Away collection!)

'Fantastic'

Talk about 'give me all the colors'!!! Such a bright and playful page!
You'll spy my watercolour strip on the left hand side - I punched it with an old scallop border punch to create a little interest. I also used some of my watercolour scrap to matte my photo to.
And lastly, I punched out those butterflies too! So pleased to use up my scraps, but also some old punches that I had forgotten about!
Apart from the doilies and thread, everything else on my layout is from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away range - such a fabulous collection to create with!
Here's a few close ups.....

So cute! Love these two!
& how darling is that paper clip?! love it!!!

And I can't forget that thickers title - literally, fantastic!
Here's a view of my punched butterflies.....

Such a fabulous and easy challenge to join in on!
I do hope you'll come play too!

Make A Wish & Take Me Away with Imaginarium Designs

Hi Everyone!

Time for another monthly dose of Imaginarium Designs chipboard inspiration!
I've got a couple of gorgeous, bright and colourful layouts to share - including another of my boy/girl double pages - so let's get straight to it!

First up, I am using the new Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Make A Wish collection
to show off some fabulous chippie phrases and shapes....

Isn't this stunning?!!
A really cool double pager that also works as two single layouts!
I've used a few of my fave phrases as well as some hearts & stars to embellish with.
Bright, playful pops of colour and  a real fresh, modern & contemporary feel. Love it!
Let's look at each layout separately.....

"You Smile With Your Heart"

So pretty!!! Girly and feminine without being too cutesy now (she's growing up!) LOL!
I've used Versa Ink in (the very hot) Opera Pink to really make my title pop.
NOTE: I use this brand of ink a lot as it gives real depth of colour  - even if I don't apply a coat of gesso to my chipboard before applying.
I love how this colour, and chippie phrase, dictate the tone and feel of the page!
Here's a closer look at that stunning phrase...

So exquisitely cut!
And how about those super cute hearts.....

Perfect for an embellishment cluster, or as an alternative sequin/enamel dot scatter!

The lower heart has been inked with Petal Pink to balance out all the hot pink and add a little interest. Very sweet, indeed!
A pretty embellishment for any gorgeously girly creation!

Enough of the girl talk - let's take a look at my boy version of this layout.....

"Wild At Heart"

Could he get any cooler?!! Such a rad little guy!
This time I've used Versa Ink: Sea Foam for my title, subtitle and most of the stars. The remaining stars are inked in Saffron Yellow. I love the solid, matte finish the ink provides!
Let's take a closer look.....

How awesome is my subtitle, "Happy"?! Perfect for my subject & I must mention my layered star!
I love the look of layering your chipboard and ephemera together. I've mounted mine too, to really stand out and draw you into my photo.
In the image below, I've mounted a smaller star onto a larger one to create a cool embellishment.....

But it's my title that is totally awesome....

Wild At Heart - he sure is!
Seriously though, another awesome phrase that's cut to perfection!
Love it!

Imaginarium Designs Products:

My last layout for today is another gorgeously bright and happy page created with the new
Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Take Me Away collection,

"Little Things Big Memories"

Love this! It just screams fun!!!
And truly, sometimes the littlest moments leave the biggest imprints on us - this phrase sums it up to a tea!
I've drawn on the very bright & colourful patterned paper to inspire my chipboard treatment.
Bold, fun and happy!!!
Let's take a closer look.....

I love the use of multiple fonts in this phrase - it makes it really versatile to use!
(& yes, it's hot Opera Pink again!)

The hearts are just the cutest little finishing touch embellishment...

SO sweet!!!

How cute is the heart decorated with a lil button?! Love!!!
