A Crafty Weekend

I had a wonderful time on  my crafting retreat this weekend! There were 18 of us and we had so much fun scrapping, chatting and eating! My goodness we had enough food to feed all of us for at least 2 weeks I think!! I'm sure I gained about 10 lbs from the homemade lasagna, shredded turkey sandwiches, thick and creamy soups, and the pans and pans of desserts!

I worked on a few challenge cards and spent a few hours playing with my Copic markers. It really is true that you just need to keep working with them and practice to understand how they blend and shade! I also changed up my blog banner a bit- do you like it?

I made this card for the Our Daily Bread designs challenge to highlight a word from one of their scripture sets. I chose a scripture from the Scripture Collection I set. I stamped my scripture in memento rich cocoa ink and used a marker to highlight the word "love". Then I stamped a heart from the Unity Stampin' store kit for December over the scripture for a subtle little detail. I mounted the verse on a piece of DP that I cut out with my mega rectangle nestabilities. If you look closely at the top and bottom edges of the base card stock, you can see that I used my Ecstasy template to do some piercing.
