Happy home!

My brother in law and his wife have moved into a new house. As I don't have an appropriate stamp set for this occasion, I made one myself. I've combined two sentiments of WMS Tiny Trees and made: happy home! The papers are again from BG Picadilly! The other stamps from Maya Road and Eline Pellinkhof. I have bought the flower die on our local market. I die cut the flower three times to get more volume in it.

The next card was an attempt to join the Lift Challenge. But I'm not a big star with sketches... I made a little draft on a small paper and went into my 'atelier'. After finishing the card I saw that I didn't use the sketch well. But no problem. It is a nice card to send to someone, isn't it? Papers are from Jillibean, butterfly die from Joy!

Many of you commented on my use of combinations of heavy printed paper. I was thinking of the reason why I like to use the papers in this way. Maybe it has something to do with my quilter's background. I am a quilter for more than 10 years (started at the age of 19 after being motivated by my mother). I really like to make combinations with fabrics and colors. Many 'rules' helps a quilter to make the good mix. It has to do with dark-light colors, kind of prints etc. In fact with scrappaper it works the same. So, if you like to know more about this, I recommend you to borrow a quilt book for beginners and it will definitely help you to make nice combinations!

Thanks for coming by! Really appreciate it!

Baby banner

A couple of weeks ago I made a banner for a newborn baby with stars (here). Yesterday I made again a banner for a newborn baby girl. And now I used circles and instead of brads I used twine.

Paper is from Jillibean ( I bought a lot of this paperline in stock...) Letters are made with the cuttlekids alphabeth. I hope that the postman will take care of this post item!

Thanks for visiting!

This card is made with Jillibean's Blossom Soup! Easy peasy but a nice effect, don't you think?

Have a nice weekend!

Candy shops & a baby card

As I told you we have visited Cambridge. And there were lovely shops! One of them was a real candy shop. To be honest, I really don't have a sweet tooth, but the view of all those candies was stunning.

Many other shops seemed like candy shops, because of all the beautiful stuff which was sold overthere. Off course we visited the Cath Kidston Store. I bought this beautiful wallet:
The shops were in lovely streets with a lot of suprises.

And as card lovers, we love postboxes, don't we? And this is a much better one than our Dutch one's, isn't it?

I didn't see any papercraft shop, but I have bought some ribbon in CallyCo to use for cards. So I made a baby card with this ribbon. The background is stamped with WMS Off Beat and the paper is by Jillibean. The sentiment is by Eline Pellinkhof.

Hm, the colors are in fact more bright. But you've got an idea!

Thanks for visiting!

It's a boy!

I love this line from Jillibean and have made many cards with these car-circles. Ideal for baby cards or a birthday of a boy.
The background is stamped with Off Beat from Waltzingmouse!

Busy with chores before I leave for Cambridge. Looking forward to it!

Have a nice weekend!

Happy Birthday to our niece!

Today our niece becomes a teenager! I made her this card with Jillibean's Blossom Soup.

As an extra present I made her a corsage. My sister in law made a very nice skirt in aqua blue-white polkadot (the same fabric as in the corsage). This corsage fits perfect with that skirt and a white shirt, don't you think? Hm, Pien isn't really convinced...

Do I have to wake up for this?? Okay, okay, I will show it...

Have a nice day!

WMS Sketch challenge # 35

A couple of weeks ago I made this card for a little boy who was born. When I saw the sketch for this week from the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge I thought: this card fits perfectly for this week!
The background paper is from Jillibean, the stars are made from Sassafras Lass (Indie Girl). The stamp is from Eline Pellinkhof.

Birthday in the air

So, stress is over! Yesterday I finished my tests for this term. Last september I started with an part-time education to get a degree in English. It's really fun to do, but this week was a little bit stressfull. Actually, it is not really finished, because next Thursday I will have an oral test and a listening test. But for these tests I can't learn, it's just about acquired skills so there will be time for other activities!!
In a week full of learning you need some relaxation and of course I made some cards. Today I like to show this one.

I used the Teeny trees from Waltzingmouse stamps and Up, Up & Away from Papertrey Ink.
Paper is from Jillibean and Sassafras Lass.
