You Find the Best in Me

"Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it."  ~Michelangelo
The image, Turtle Carver for this card, reminds me of the above quote.

Which, in the case of a heart statue, makes the image perfect for St. Valentine's Day!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Don't forget the Hambo Hoedown Challenge #141 and use a Hambo animal on your project!

Happy Crafting,

I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!

Do you have someone in your house that is wishing for a hippopotamus for Christmas??  Or just likes the song?

It is a favorite in our house!  And while it is a fun song a hippo did not make it to anyone's gift list this year... but that doesn't mean it wouldn't make a CUTE tag on that gift!

Both tags use "Hippo Presents".

With tags like these.. I don't need much else to make my gifts look great under the tree!

Thanks for stopping by!

It is beginning to look...

... a lot like Christmas!

Hello, Bacon Bit Juliana here!

So I have a couple of Christmas Cards for you!

First a little pun for your holiday:
The above card features Wee Henry Gnome.  (Gnomes aren't just for gardens anymore.)

You are one in a...

Chameleon!!

Hello! It is Bacon Bit, Juliana, today.

I love puns!  Yeah, I am that person, that comes up with puns that usually make folks groan and roll their eyes at me.

I couldn't let Mr. Hambo's (Tim) birthday go by without one.

One thing I really love about this Reptile image is his blank shirt!

I replicated a Hawaiian shirt with Copic markers.

The colorful mat is white cardstock and I used the same colors from coloring the image to go around the edge.  This is a great trick if you don't have patterned paper to go with your image.

This card was done in the CAS (Clean & Simple) style and there is still time for you to get a CAS card entered into the Hambo Hoedown Challenge #137

I "mustache" you to join us!!
I would LOVE to see what you create!

Come on, it could be PUN

Card Details: Images: Reptile from Hambo Stamps; sentiment: computer generated; Papers: White, lt. Green and Black cardstock; Coloring Medium: Copic Markers; Accessories: foam tape; mustache buttons, and ribbon;

Attitude of Gratitude

Hi Hambo Fans, this is Juliana with a Thanksgiving project for you!

I made some "I am thankful for..." cards using the Digi Stamp: Wee Henry Turkey.

Using Microsoft Word, I used the crop tool to get just the parts of the image I needed.  The sentiments that come with this image are great for a variety of uses!

I added a few horizontal lines and an outline, and "Viola!" a worthwhile pre-dinner activity!

Here is the cover:

And here is one of the cards (one will be at each plate):

At our Thanksgiving celebrations, the crowd is always ready to eat before the dinner is ready.  This activity will keep the discussion focused on what is truly important.

I hope you have (or in Canada, had) a great Thanksgiving this year!!

~Juliana

Card Details: Image: Wee Henry Turkey from Hambo Stamps; Papers: blue, black, white and Kraft cardstock; Bristol paper; Coloring Medum: Copic Markers; Accessories:  Tab punch, corner rounder punch, foam tape, ribbon
