Today we took Cole to an asthma and allergy specialist and found out great news -- Cole doesn't have allergies! They did a test of different allergens and they all were negative. They had to inject the allergens under his skin, so he was pricked eleven times, similar to a little shot. He was crying while they did it, but I was crying too! It was only a few minutes of pain for great news. Yay! The doctor also gave us an asthma inhaler that we can use anywhere, so we don't have to be tied to the nebulizer. The clinic was fantastic -- they were blowing bubbles and entertaining Cole in the exam room and even brought in a tub of Thomas Trains and tracks for him to play with while we waited for the doctor. The doctor sat with me and explained the ins and outs of asthma and sent me home with information to read. It is the first time that I feel I have been informed and educated about Cole's asthma. It was a fantastic experience!!

I love this picture of Garrett we took last night and thought it was too cute not to post, even thought it has nothing to to with allergies!

Poor little man...what a champ to make it through the tests! I'm glad you feel better about what's going on with your little guy, what a good doctor!
Poor little Cole. I'm glad you got good news about allergies! He's a tough kid to go through all those pricks. We miss the little guy. That is a darling picture of Garrett. Thanks for posting it. He's growing to fast.
Those tests are rough. I went through them with Kaleb, and I'm with you, it made me cry too! So happy he doesn't have allergies, we weren't so lucky and believe me it's no party! Sounds like you have a great doctor, which is so important. And the photo of Garrett....love it!
It's rare to have one of those dr visits, way to go!
Garret has awesome blue eyes!
So glad to hear the great news for Cole. That really is wonderful. Cole and Garrett are growing up to fast and we are missing it. We really miss you guys. Wish you could have come swimming with us a few weeks ago. It just wasn't the same without Cole.
That is so great! I'm glad you get to be done with nebulizer
I bet you are so relieved and thrilled that your little man doesn't have to worry about those things now. The nebulize I bet is a life saver and makes life a whole lot easier.
THat is such great news, especially after the hard time he was having right before you guys left VA!! Sounds like you all have been having lots of fun!
