The swamp hen, here called the water hen (apparently we are too posh to have swamps, but we do have wetlands :-), are a-plenty but have you ever seen them take off? I have watched thousands of take-offs and wonder if they have been put together from a kit. Every part seems to battle every other part as they threaten to disintegrate! Lovely pics.
