Precious earth metal
Happiness locked in a reef
Gold bars imprison

Precious earth flowers
Free to grow and be adored
Sunbursts on Spring trees

In a golden place
Light grows in beams of magic
Hope and smiles on wings

Stagnant greed or Nature's child

Hi Gemma, thank you for the nice prompt. I had fun with it.

Gold to me is precious and pure. Your poem reminds me of this without you saying it with those words. Thank you.

You've given the ultimate importance to nature there.

Your poems raise questions about beauty and freedom that will keep me thinking, Gemma. Nature's gifts are the greatest treasures, to be sure.

'gold locks & gold keys' speaks to me about wise use of nature's bounty & life in general.

thanks for the gorgeous photos of my home country, a place i long to see one day. my mother left tasmania as a child & i know my grandmother speaks so fondly of her home. my uncle still lives outside of hobart. one day... :-)

Thanks for the prompt, Gemma.
Love the plant in the first picture, I wonder if this might not be a form of mimosa.
