Blog giveaways/contests - NOW vs THEN

Salam n hye everyone~!!

I've been a blogger since August 2010. But yeah, as most of you may not know, this is my second blog as my old one is inaccessible, huhu~... T_T Anyway, so since I've started being a blogger, I have participated in many giveaways/contests organised by other bloggers.

The giveaways/contests back then were very much different from nowadays. So, here I've made a list to compare them:

Back then:
* the terms & conditions of the contests were usually very simple
* the prizes were often sponsored by the organiser himself/herself, but not very much in quantity
* participants had the option of following the organiser's blog
* some contests were interesting as they involved participants to post pics that are required according the the contest's theme

Nowadays:
* the terms & conditions have grown very, very long
* the prizes are mostly sponsored by other people, and there's a long list of them~.. ^_^
* participants have to (sometimes compulsory) follow the blogs/Facebook pages/Twitter/Instagram of the organiser & the sponsors as well

Well...I could only come up wif these differences. But on the bright side, I still enjoy joining contests/giveaways, when I don't have any idea what to post about, hihi~... :3

Freelance subtitling translator? What's that?

Salam n hye everyone~!!

Thanks so much to those who wished me on my previous post. Yeah, the minion plushie is the new trend for convocation bouquets this year. I guess this has a lot to do with how great the Despicable Me 2 movie was accepted worldwide, hihi~... ^_^

Remember that I told you I got a job as a freelance translator? (click here) Well, let me tell you actually what the job scopes are.

Since I'm recruited as a freelancer, I basically work from home. No need to rush & go through traffic in the mornings, hehe... My boss has asked me to download certain files & software that are needed for the work.

What I do? I translate English subtitles into Malay, usually for American & British shows. My boss will send a new assignment via email and using the software I have downloaded, I will translate the subtitles & put them into the video of the show I'm doing.

Since this is freelance, it's not a permanent job. I get paid for every episode I translate. Just like a normal translator who gets paid for every page translated.

Therefore, although this jobs suits me well and I very much enjoy the privilege of watching the shows before they are aired on TV, it's tiring and requires a lot of attention, focus, skill & time. For 1 episode, I'm only able to finish it in 2-3 days. (but I take a lot of breaks in between, hehe.. :P)

So...I'm still job-hunting for a permanent job. I'd really wish to get something like this, I mean something that has to do wif translation or language, yet...you can't be too picky when it comes to jobs, right? Owh well... Actually my mom prefers me to do a Master's degree & become a lecturer like her, but I insisted on getting work experience first, ngehehe... X3

Busy with crafts~...

Salam n hye everyone~!!

Since I'm back in this blogging world, I haven't been able to blogwalk much. Huhu~..

crafting in progress, hehe.. >_<

I'm currently busy with craft orders from customers. I've done 1 bulk order, I still have 2 more bulk orders & 3 regular orders to do. I really do hope that I can finish them all in this month & next month. ⊙﹏⊙

I know I haven't yet registered my craft business with CCM (a.k.a SSM or Companies Commission of Malaysia), and I'm thinking of doing so some time this year.

Yes, a lot has to be settled, plus my last & final semester starts this week. Let's pray that I can graduate, amin~.. (⌒_⌒;)

Phew, this blog is simply deserted, alright. It's dusty & needs some cleaning up, lalala~.. So...I guess most of you would like to ask me:

Well, 1stly, I haven't been around anywhere much. Usually at home, now that I'm in my sem break. Hehe.. >_< The next sem (my final, yeah!!) is 2 weeks away.....

2ndly, I dunno why I don't feel like opening this blog & updating. Guess I really need to find back my spirit, wherever it flew off to, huhu~.. "-_- I'm usually online on Facebook. Otherwise, I'll be sewing away making craft orders for customers. I still have loads more orders to make, ngehehe.. 

Nway, let's hope I can keep blogging & refrain myself from disappearing again.  ( ≧Д≦)

P/s - there's a book fair at PWTC from 31st Jan till 3rd Feb 2013. My sis suggested that we should go there tomorrow.. Hmm..mayb, hehe..

I guess I should apologise to all of you who have visited my blog only to find that there are no new posts & at times you can't even open my blog.

Well, actually I have hid my blog for awhile. I've been thinking of stop writing posts, or in other words, stop blogging. Why? Coz I'm really busy nowadays, huhu~.. (Plus, I dunno what to write..) "-_-

Anyway..so much for calling myself an active blogger months ago.. Haha.. XD

It's the baby season~!!

No, plz do not think that I'm gonna have a new baby. I'm talking about other people, hehe.. 

Several people I know have juz had newborn babies. Omedetou to these people for their newborn babies~...

- my cousin Hafiz (who got a baby boy named Hussin - not so sure how it's really spelled, hehe)

- Ina a.k.a IntaNBerlian (who got another baby girl named Nur Aqilah)

- Kak Qienah (who got a baby girl named Nur Zara Aleesya)
* both Aqilah & Zara Aleesya have the same birthdate, hihi~.. :3

See..? Don't you think it's kinda like the season for babies to come out now? Hehe.. 

I'm thinking of what to give to these newborn babies. Mayb something from felt perhaps? I'll have to start designing then, hihi~.. XP

I luv the smell of babies & luv cradling them too~.. ^_^

Our craft booth @ FESKUM 2012~!!

Salam n hye everyone~!!

Last week (1st Oct - 6th Oct 2012), Greennnpanda Craft (GPC)(my craft business) along with Dewi's Artwork Station (DAS) opened a booth in UM in conjunction with FESKUM 2012 (UM's convocation festival).

Our booth was located at the gazebo at Kompleks Perdanasiswa, along with other booths for the Perkampungan 1Malaysia. Our booth's theme is supposed to be "Malay", that's why we decorated the booth with kain batik. But our crafts were not really about "Malay", juz crafted by Malays, hehe.. （⌒▽⌒ゞ

Our booth's setup keep changing from day to day (mostly bcoz of my doing, hehe) since I always have new ideas on how to put the crafts nicely. Since there are loads of different crafts from other crafters, it's lucky enough that we got 2 tables.

All these pics are snapped by me, so forgive me if they're not too good, I'm really not that pro in photographing. I've even snapped pics of customers who have visited our booth. Some were sporting enough to pose for the camera, hihi~.. (ヘ。ヘ)

Even though the booth's location was not really strategic, but it was a nice experience all together. Not everything was sold out, but it does make me hepi when people do buy stuff from us. Exhausted, yes, but hepi. (︶ω︶)

I do hope there will be a chance for GPC to join other booths in future, amin~..

Finally~...

It seems pretty quiet around here. Finally, the booth is over & so is my blogshop's giveaway. And I've juz got home from vacationing wif my famly last night. Very tired, but a bit hepi, nonetheless.

Committing Sins in a Sacred Place.. "-_-

2 days ago (Wednesday), my parents sent my bro Ayep to LCCT. He's going back to Bangalore, India, for his 2nd year in medicine. Yeah, he's the 2nd doctor-to-be in my famly. >_<

While he was perfoming the zuhur prayers at the terminal, his backpack was missing. It was by his side before he started the prayers. But after he gave the salaam, his backpack was gone, or in other words, stolen. There goes his laptop, Sony PSP & other stuff. Fortunately, Ayep's passport, boarding pass & other documents were in a smaller bag.

A thief in a musolla...how ironic is that? I guess some people are never frightened of committing sins, even in sacred places such as a mosque or musolla. It's such a disgraceful thing to do. "-_-

I hope all of you will be cautious & careful of your things when out of the house. Like Ummi used to tell me, always put your bag in front of you when you're going to perform the prayers in public mosque. Coz like what happened to my bro, thieves are EVERYWHERE..owh dear.. o_o

What I discovered was that people who are depressed or stressed tends to eat desserts or sweet things. Why? According to the post that certain blogger wrote, it's bcoz if you spell the word "STRESSED" backwards, you'll get "DESSERTS"!! ^o^

Fading away~....

When you haven't been blogging in a long time, (in my case, 2 weeks of no updates, huhu~..), it feels as if you have lost the "umph", the kick, the drive that you always have whenever you're excited to blog juz about anything.

Well, apparently, that's what I felt yesterday when I posted after 2 weeks of hiatus, hehe.. XP Somehow, my so-called "job" as a blogger is fading away, owh no!!! "o_o

Before hitting 30~...

I'm a fan of listening to music & the radio. My fave radio stations are Fly FM & Mix FM. Kesa (this morning) I listened to the "Pagi Rock Crew" on Fly FM. There was an interesting topic that they talked about: what are the stuff that you would like to accomplish before hitting the BIG THREE-O [30]~..


That topic gave me an idea to write this post. After squeezing my brains, I have come out wif this list of stuff that I would wanna achieve or accomplish before I become san-juu sai desu. (30 years old)

* have my own car & a decent enough job

* go travelling around in Malaysia wif Hannah, particularly to Cameron Highlands~..

* know a lot more Nihongo (Japanese) compared to now. Hai, benkyoushimashoo, minna-san~!!

* have my own pet rabbit, yeah.. kawaii usagii~!!!

* see a panda in real life!!!!

* errmm.. ermmm.. I dunno what else, huhu~.. T_T

Anyway, these are juz mere plans. Like they say, "we can only plan, but fate will decide which road will unfold in front of us"~... ^_^

Ummi (my mom) baked a batch of red velvet cupcakes the other day. Yummy, those cupcakes were soooooooo oishii~!!!!! >_< If you want the recipe, I'll go ask my mom, hehe..

Kawaii Android~!!!!!!

Actually, I wanted to update on the stuff that I bought last Sunday, using the book voucher. But unfortunately, I couldn't find the pics I snapped. Huhu~... T_T


Android... I juz know what it looks like. A green robot that is the logo of a high-tech device, i.e Android. OK, that's all I know, so laugh all you want if I have a lack of general info & issues. XP

Nway, as I was window shopping at Mid Valley yesterday, I was attracted to something that was so kawaii coz it was green. It was an Android handphone strap. I bought two, hehe.. >_<

Kawaii desu ne? Hihi~.. There's 2 androids. The green one for me, the pink one for my sis, since she loves that colour so much. Tskkk..girls & pink.. (eh, I'm a girl too, lalala~...)


Anyone feels like wanting one of these kawaii androids? If yes, I may go buy some more and make a short giveaway, whaddaya think? ^_^

New year, new Volkswagen~!!

1st day of class | Final sem~!!!!!

Gomenasai for not updating yesterday. I wanted to take a rest from going online, hehe.. Yappari (I suppose) many of you missed me, right? Hihi~... 

Kyou wa (today) was the 1st day of class for my final sem. Yeah, my final sem~!!! Doesn't that sound sooooo good?!! I'm only a few months more before graduating, yokatta!! >_<


My faculty (Faculty of Languages & Linguistics) always has foreign students studying & taking classes wif us. But this sem, there seems to be more Korean & Taiwanese exchange students as compared to last time. Mayb they like Malaysia a lot, hihi~...

I don't mind being wif foreigners, coz they're all frenly. In my class, I have frens from Africa, Thailand, Maldives. Being surrounded wif foreigners, kinda makes me feel like I'm studying overseas. Haha!! XD


Nway, as what I've seen earlier today, there are a lot of kawaii  Korean girls in my faculty. (I dunno what's "cute" in Korean, I juz know Japanese, hehe..) I wonder if the boys are cute too? Hehe.. >_< You can immediately recognise that a person is Korean or Taiwanese by looking at their face & style. They're juz so trendy & kawaii~!!! You do understand what I'm trying to say here, right? XP
