You Are My Sunshine

Hello, and happy Friday!  It's Julie with you today.  I love big, bold sentiment stamps that can be the focal point of a card.  I found this great one in the Great Impressions Stamps store, and fell in love with it.

This is E876 My Sunshine.  All I did was ink it up, cut it out with a square die cut, back it with another die cut and centered it on the card.

It was a fun, easy card.

This is my last post for Great Impressions Stamps, and I want to thank Deone and Ruza for the wonderful experience!  I have loved every minute and will treasure each of my Great Impressions Stamps

Birdies on a Swing

Greetings!  It's Julie with you today. Do you like to swing?  Did you enjoy it as a child?  Sometimes I watch birds and squirrels sitting on branches, swinging in the breeze and it looks like FUN!  Great Impressions Stamps has a great rubber stamp, Two Birdies on a Swing (G486) that is so, so cute!  I just had to color it up!

I stamped G486 Two Birdies on a Swing onto watercolor paper, then used watercolor pencils and a paint brush to color the Two Birdies.  The Hello sentiment (A138) is also from Great Impressions Stamps.  It's one of my favorite sentiments as it's a great size, it can be used for many occasions, and it stamps so cleanly!

Have you entered this month's challenge at Great Impressions Stamps yet?  It's nearly over for May, but a new one starts on Sunday, June 4.  Join us!

Inked up Sympathy with Julie

Greetings, fellow stamp lovers!  It's Julie with you today.  I've been gone a few months while I fought cancer and chemo treatments, but I'm happy to say I'm in remission, feeling much stronger, and am back with the Great Impression Stamps design team again.  Yeah!  I love these stamps and this team!

I don't often heat emboss, but that's the joy of working with real stamps like Great Impressions Stamps instead of digital ones.  So, I got out the embossing inks and created a couple of cards that I needed using Great Impressions Stamps Wildflower Silhouette (H184) and With Sympathy (B206):

I created both cards by heat embossing the Wildflower Silhouette (H184) image with black embossing powder.  I then sponged on Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in the background, using various shaped cutting dies to back them. I can never seem to have enough Sympathy cards, so I'm pleased to have these to add to the stash.

If you haven't joined the challenge yet at Great Impressions stamps, there's still a few more days.  A new challenge will start on May 7.

Follow Your Heart

Happy Friday, everyone!  It's the last one of 2016.  This is Julie with you from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  After today, I'm taking a break from the team - - my health is forcing it on me.  While I'm undergoing chemo, I'm having trouble keeping up with everything.  So, with a heavy heart, I'm letting this team I love, using stamps I cherish go, at least for awhile.  I hope to be back soon!

Today, I'm showcasing a card I made early on my first term with this team, but one that seems applicable today:

I used Great Impressions rubber stamps, G518 - Elliot Blowing Hearts, colored with Copic markers and B219 - Follow Your Heart, stamped on die cut hearts.

There will be a new challenge and a new design team starting very soon.  You'll want to visit the blog each day for tons of great inspiration!

Make sure to visit the Great Impressions Online Store for many wonderful rubber stamps!  I have too many favorites to count!

Holy Cow!

Holy cow!  It's Friday already!  This is Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  I have a friend with a birthday this month.  She and her husband are retired dairy farmers.  So, I thought this  card was perfect!

I used Great Impressions rubber stamps, E818 - Holy Cow, and C458 - It's Your Birthday to make this card.  There's just a small bit of Copic markers on the E818 - Holy Cow to enhance that adorable cow image.

Christmas Cheer Revisited

Is this really Black Friday?  Did I really eat all that turkey yesterday?  How can we be a month from Christmas?  Oh my, oh my, oh my! This is Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  and I'm revisiting a favorite project from the past.  Since it is just one month to the day until Christmas, I'm featuring one of my favorite Christmas cards today, with one of my favorite Great Impressions Stamps on it.  I love this chickadee (G28)

I colored the rubber stamp G28 - Winter Chickadee with Copic markers.  It's a highly shaded stamp that doesn't take much coloring to look good (easy peasy coloring, quick results, perfect for mass producing Christmas cards).  In this case, I thought it would look striking on an easel card, so I created it using my Silhouette Cameo.  I stamped the A151 - Cheer stamp on the base of the easel card.

Have you entered the Great Impressions Stamps challenge yet?  There's still a few more days to get your anything goes entry in.  I'd love to see what you make and we've got wonderful prizes!

Check out the Great Impressions Store for tons of wonderful stamps.  You'll find these 2, and many, many more!

I colored E815 Singing Birds with Copic markers.  I added a bit of Icicle Stickles glitter glue to their hats for some added sparkle.

Hello, fellow stamp lovers!  Julie here today. Are you ready for Halloween?  I have a super cute Halloween card to share with you.

I like Halloween to be cute, not spooky, so these 2 rubber stamps from Great Impressions Stamps were perfect for this card.

I used F617 Caped Buddies and A135 Boo! on this card.

After stamping F617 Caped Buddies onto white card stock, I colored the image with Copic markers, then stamped A135 Boo! onto some white space near the colored image.
