Happy Halloween

This Halloween we decided to go to the neighborhood trunk or treat block party. We had a great time. Charlie and Sophie scored on the candy as they rounded the trunks a good twenty times each. They also had fun booths and games for the kids to earn small prizes. Charlies favorite was the cup cake walk. I found at least 3 cup cake wrappers in the car and I know I through away Sophie's. Sophie loved the treasure trove. A whole water table filled with rice just waiting to be dug through. It took awile to get her to move on to any other booth. Lily and I helped out by manning the Fishing Pond. Lily sucked on as many prizes as she could reach and I tried to find any thing that was not too soggy to give away. The only person who missed out was Chuck who was dutifully filling holes and touch up painting the old house.

Charlie's School Parade

The girls and I went to see our Little Harry Potter in his school parade. I almost missed him and made the whole parade wait for me to take pictures. Not my finest Mom moment.. but doesn't he make a cute wizard. He was so proud of his wand. When you flick the wand it lights up and makes great noises.

The Calm Before the Storm

A typical sunday afternoon. Chuck is trying to eat his watermelon in peace but alas the children can smell watermelon from a mile away. Even little Lily wanted to get in on the action.

This is the weekend before we started packing and moving to the house around the corner. We didn't have any idea that in two weeks we would all be sick with colds in a house that is half unpacked and cluttered.
Sunday afternoons are wonderful!!

Our Hike

Chuck and I had a fabulous time in Hawaii. We stayed at a wonderful resort right on the beach. We lived in true luxury. I got to sleep whenever I wanted with no interuptions. We went on a Lovely hike with waterfalls and and beautifal local foliage. One wonderful day we both got massages. I have to say if I can wake up every morning refreshed from sleep and walk outside and eat a prepared breakfast by the beach, I would be one happy camper.

Charlie's 7th Birthday Party

Charlie chose to do his birthday party at Pump it Up. The kids had a blast playing on all the bounce toys. Next they went in to a room for cake, icecream and snacks. Pump it up had a giant throne for the Birthday boy to sit on but everyone couldn't help but climb up and join him.
