Specially Requested Thank you card

This is a nice compliment..my son-in-law asked me for a Thank you card this morning and thought, i know of a challenge that just started that i can use as my inspiration/starting point.

I noticed that Christy from Tiddly Inks made a new image with a sweet little girl sitting on a stack of books, but i knew i had two of her images that i could combine to get a similar look...more vintage maybe but a similar look.  This is the wonderfulness of digital stamps, you can cut pieces, enlarge them and make them work together.  The book is a freebie and the sweet girl is actually sitting on a stack of luggage.  I just cut her off the stack of luggage and set her on top of the books...of course one would have to do some fussy cutting, but it wasn't that bad really.

I needed something teacher themed..so i went with this for now.
It's a real pencil..and not any thicker than some of the flowers that are used.  I'd say it was practical and could be actually used, but when i broke off the end to make it fit on the width of the card..i cracked it on the back side..like a sliver...so it's just for decoration.   I love themed cards..don't know why, but it inspires me more.

I've also used a sketch from  Sketch Saturday:

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20, 22
hair/leggings- YR20, 21, 23
boots/hat- E81, 33
dress- R35, 37, 39
flower/sash- R20, 22, 35, 37, 39, YG03
book- E81, 29

A little bit of sunflower in your day

This is the number one reason i wanted to work with the Memory Box Floral release for
Dutch Paper Crafts, but as it turned out i really liked them ALL!

This card is made with Memory Box Wild Sunflower #985656 -2.7"  Again, i layered this die 3 times.  I cut it out of brown and cut the center out and put the leaves behind the yellow stack.  I used the leaves from Sonora Rose #98572 also from this release:
Also used in this release is Marianne Creatables flower flourish #LR0249 and Cheery Lynn Anastasia border B136.  I did cut the Marianne flourish into 3 pieces.  I used green coredinations for the leaves and sanded them. Sentiment is from Magnolia stamps.

Don't forget to ask to see if we still have the above dies in stock at Dutch Paper Crafts!

Paper blooms

All of these cards i am creating for Dutch Paper Crafts has a 3-d effect..where i layer the flower or foam dot it..

For this card i layered the flower and i cut the outline out twice and cut out only what i wanted to layer with the second piece. The pink background die was cut with white core paper and sanded.  I used Memory Box Cheshire Branch Outline #98599 and Cheshire Branch Background # 98596:

I also used Spellbinders Classic circle and Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles (retired).

Don't forget to ask to see if we still have the above dies in stock at Dutch Paper Crafts!

As always when i get my embossing machine out and my granddaughter is here, she requests to make something and she saw this card being made and asked if she could make one too..so she picked out her background paper (cause she wanted her flower like grandma's).  We didn't layer her flower...

Arranging some paper roses in a paper vase...

Aren't you a bit curious about all of the paper flowers i am using..this release at
Dutch Paper Crafts would make a great gift for yourself!  Instead of a vase of really roses you could have paper roses anytime you wanted. :)

Here is my card using Memory Box Sonora Rose #98572, comes with one rose, the leaves, and the small leaf cluster, a small rose leaf, and large rose leaf along with a tiny twig.
I have also used Memory Box Candy Jar #98381 (not included in this release) but perfect for a vase!  The background is a Spellbinders Floral Oval #S4356.

Don't forget to ask to see if we still have the above dies in stock at Dutch Paper Crafts!
