This is a nice compliment..my son-in-law asked me for a Thank you card this morning and thought, i know of a challenge that just started that i can use as my inspiration/starting point.
I noticed that Christy from Tiddly Inks made a new image with a sweet little girl sitting on a stack of books, but i knew i had two of her images that i could combine to get a similar look...more vintage maybe but a similar look. This is the wonderfulness of digital stamps, you can cut pieces, enlarge them and make them work together. The book is a freebie and the sweet girl is actually sitting on a stack of luggage. I just cut her off the stack of luggage and set her on top of the books...of course one would have to do some fussy cutting, but it wasn't that bad really.
I needed something teacher themed..so i went with this for now.
It's a real pencil..and not any thicker than some of the flowers that are used. I'd say it was practical and could be actually used, but when i broke off the end to make it fit on the width of the card..i cracked it on the back side..like a sliver...so it's just for decoration. I love themed cards..don't know why, but it inspires me more.
I've also used a sketch from Sketch Saturday:
Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20, 22
hair/leggings- YR20, 21, 23
boots/hat- E81, 33
dress- R35, 37, 39
flower/sash- R20, 22, 35, 37, 39, YG03
book- E81, 29
