Tuesday Morning Sketches and Wedding Wishes

For this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches, our sponsor is Stitchy Bear.

For my card this week i chose to catch up on some Wedding cards i needed to make and i used a favorite digital image i like from The Greeting Farm!

Here is my card, please come and join us at Tuesday Morning Sketches for this challenge:

I'll be honest without doing some research online, i am not sure which die i used as the "lattice".  The embossing folder is a Spellbinders embossing folder in the background..the dotted one beneath the image is Cuttlebug.

Be-Witchingly, Boo- tee -Ful

How could i resist?  The Greeting Farm makes a post with a brand new witch digi and i fell for it...and you can see why..i am not kidding i purchased it yesterday and made the card today!

I know some people don't like Halloween and the celebration, i grew up in the 60's where it wasn't about "evil" but about dressing up and a way to visit our neighbors that i never got to see.  i know, that now, some people have ruined what was nothing but a way to visit our neighbors and for kids to dress-up into something bad.  I choose to look at the good and not let the bad win out.

So with that thought i've created a sweet good witch card:
I used a Martha Steward spiderweb border punch.  I also made a tiny slit in her hat and gathered up some black tulle and slid it through.  One of the new techinques i did was to use my Envelope Punch to make the the notches in the strip, i cut out my matted black paper and punched it and remembered what i punched it at and then cut out the black stripe and punched the notch out so that it could line up..in this case i punched at 4.5 (black mat) and then the stripe at 4 3/8.  So more than one way to use that tool..  I think it would make a fun tie shape too..

I used this sketch from The Greeting Farm for this challenge:

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20
hair- E97, 99
dress/hat- W3, 5, 7
hat band/scarf- YG00, 01, 03
cat/stars- YR12, 04

Good Things come in small packages

Challenge for this project was to make something small...no larger than 4 x4.  I actually made 2 in one for this challenge.  I made a corner bookmark that takes a piece of paper 4 x 4...and i made a miniature Alice "book"...and the image is holding that in her hand.  The mini book is no larger than 3/4"...just fit the length of a staple to add pages inside of it.

Here is my project:

Going "retro" Animal card

A month long challenge at TGF Farm Fresh challenge blog is to use "animals" and the stamp must be at least 6 months old.  I am not sure about my stamp's age as i couldn't find the list, but this is what i did for the challenge.
I also used deconstructing jen's sketch shown below:

Nifty Fifties- You totally Rock..birthday

Digi my World's new challenge this week will be "Time Warp".  I've chosen to use Nifty Fifties Burger Stand w/Brittney.  I am also using a sketch from The Sweet Stop.

This is what i did using the sketch and the adorable digi set.
What i did:
I colored and cut out the digital image (Brittney, burger counter and stool)  I stamped some black cardstock with the "You totally Rock" stamp from TGF and then i dry embossed the black paper and cut it fit in the front of the stand.  I also embossed the background white paper w/music notes and distressed it with black ink.  Punch out some black flowers and used buttons for the centers.
