Fairy Hugs - Hoggies

Fairy Hugs NEW Fairy Tales release Now in stores!

Let's see what we can make using supplies from Fairy Hugs Store

I am using Fairy Hugs - Hoggies

For this card,  I used some We Are 3 Digital Paper and printed at 4.75" x 6.75".  I created a mask for Fairy Hugs - Wheelbarrow and cut away the inside to use as the mask.  I positioned all of the stamps using the acrylic sheets that come with the stamp so i had an idea of where i should stamp everything. So i stamped Fairy Hugs - Acorn Corner Post first using VersaFine Clair - Acorn.  Next i stamped Fairy Hugs - Hoggies with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.  Now i can stamp the wheelbarrow lining up the handle to go with the one pig's hand.  I also had to make sure i had the wheelbarrow inside mask (not the outside of the wheelbarrow) in position so the inside would be blank.  I stamped the wheelbarrow in VersaFine Clair - Acorn as well.  Now i can add Fairy Hugs - Forest Firs, the darker ones in VersaFine Nocturne and the lighter ones as a second generation. i positioned Fairy Hugs Sentiment - Joy, Sunshine, Love above the Hoggies.  Then i used a card stock circle and added a halo with Distress Oxide Ink - Chipped Sapphire.  (You can edge the whole card at the end with the same Distress ink) I add Fairy Hugs - Clouds as shown with VersaFine Claire - Nocturne but i wasn't happy with how dark they were so i colored over them with a Powder Blue Prismacolor pencil.  Next i added a path using Fairy Hugs - Stone Walkway, i stamped it in the normal direction and upside down along the bottom of the card using VersaFine Clair - Morning Mist.  Now i can stamp Fairy Hugs - Garden Gnomes basket on to the Hoggies hand using VersaFine Clair - Acorn because the ink is darker it will sit on top of the path.  I almost forgot, we need to add the carrots to the wheel barrow and the basket.  For the wheelbarrow i used the rest of the mask to cover it up and stamp Fairy Hugs - Garden Gnomes carrots.  i stamped the main part of the carrot with VersaFine Clair - Summertime and the leaf part with the tiny Distress Ink - Peeled Paint.  Now i colored everything in with Prismacolor pencils.  Oh, again i forgot.. i added Fairy Hugs Sentiments - Magical Places (names for the Acorn Corner Post) to the arrows.  So excited because there was, Fairy Village, Fairy Garden and Fairy Forest!!

Fairy Hugs Sentiment - Little Magic

Let's see what we can make using supplies from Fairy Hugs Store

I am using Fairy Hugs - Tansy available September 20th

This is a "magical" card because of the scene and because of how the die works.

For this card,  I chose to start with a die i have been wanting to use from Studio Light Essentials.
I wanted a scene to "magically" appear.  So to start i used Fairy Hugs Craft Papers - MorningWillow and "fussy" die cut the pieces to keep the scene looking continuous.  The circle cuts are a matching paper from MorningWillow paper pad.  I made the card base of black cardstock and the matting from gray cardstock.  Then i adhered the designer paper and stamped on top of it in a stamp platform.  I did "try" to mask off section so it didn't stamp on the mat or black card base, but it did happen anyway.  It was the best way for me to get the scene to be continuous.  However, i didn't stamp the images on each section at the same time.  I masked them off and then added them.  For instance, if you look at the flowers on the circle with the fairy, they do not "match" up with the stems in the section below.  I did that for a reason.  I wanted them to seem to match up when the card was opened or closed.  I was also careful to how i stamped the fairy.  I wanted her legs not to show when the card was closed and i wanted enough of her legs to show so it didn't look funny when i "divided" her in half.  That is why i placed her half way into the circle.  Once i was happy with the scene, i colored some of the images with Prismacolor pencils and Pentel Sparkly gold gel pen.  Oh and star dust that Tansy is blowing is Fairy Hugs - Moon Dust.  I bought 2 of those stamps so that i could cut one apart and just use the dust.   And a fun tip about Tansy.  She is a "re-make" of Fairy Hugs first stamp called - Kissy Fairy.  We added legs to this 2nd anniversary stamp.
