Well, we know the little ones like the snow, but the older ones (like me!)....not so much. Looking at the forecast, I don't think I have to worry about a white Christmas, in fact the grass is still rather green and some are wondering if it might need another cut. Wouldn't that be something!
One of my grandson's delivers papers, so one guess where this card is going....
This is another fun image from Kenny K, don't you love the smile? After colouring with markers, I've cut him out then attached him to the snowflake dp with foam tabs. The sentiment and additional stamping all uses stamps from the Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails stamp set. With just a bit of paper candi and paper contrast, it makes for a nice bright card...all ready to go.

Classic Christmas
Here, I have heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Doesn't it show nice against the red card stock? So there is just stamping on this one, and a bit of gold pen for the edging.
Stamps used:
Hero Arts - Collage Merry Christmas
Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails
Hero Arts - Holiday Sayings
Hope all is well with you, as you scurry around readying for the holidays.

The colours of Christmas
Another card that was fairly quick to do, at least once I got my head around it. lol
This time it's a stamp from Stampers Anonymous ...Joyful, and I have heat embossed with the WOW Sparkling Embossing Powder. I've cut and matted with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two die set, giving the edges a bit of gold pen.
Some additional stamping is added to the DP along with a few gemstones, before adding the bow. A classy look that is relatively quick to finish. I should do more of these!
Hope your Christmas preparations are coming along and you are better organized than me. lol.

Age is just a number...
Hi there again. Halloween is now over, so for sure winter will soon be on it's way. So glad that I got my surgery out of the way before the snow. Now I'll just have to be really careful and make sure both feet stay firmly on the ground. Of course, I could just hibernate until spring comes again. lol
So here I've made a birthday card using Halloween colours of orange and black. I had some inky fun with distress inks and a couple of stencils. A piece of washi tape and some stamping in black provide a nice contrast. Something a little different, and suitable for just about any adult's birthday.
Stamps and stencils used:
Clear Scraps - Numbers stencil
Tim Holtz - Dot Fade stencil
Inkadinkado - Happy Birthday stamp
Pocket Watch stamp - unknown (sorry)
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.....take care.

Remember When
Well, I'm finally back and ready to post a card. It's been a busy time with doctors appointments and x-rays....as they say, 'getting older isn't for sissies'. The verdict is in, and I'll be needing a hip replacement. As it is classified as elective surgery, it is still months away, so lots of time to get used to the idea. In the meantime I have some lovely meds to take the edge off. Happy days are here! ha ha.
For today's card I have used 3 different stamps from 3 different companies, and I've listed them below. After stamping and colouring the ladies' image, I've masked then created a spotlight using a circle template and some pan pastels.
The stamped panel has been coloured with distress inks, and then I have gone over it with some metalic perfect pearls, for a nice sheen. Then, of course, you will see some layers, some gems and a pretty bow.
Stamps used:
Flonz stamps - Vintage Fashion Girl - Thirties 01
Sweet Stamps - Baroque Border
Inkadinkado - Remember When
This was a bit before my time, but I think I'm catching up! Take care everyone, and think spring thoughts.

How many days....
Good morning everyone! Here's another Christmas card...just a little bit different. I've heat embossed the main image then sponged over it with distress ink, before cutting it out with the fancy die. The background papers have been edged and then stamped using the same DI. I probably should have taken pictures before I assembled, but I think you'll get the idea.
Some supplies used:
Hero Arts stamp - Collage Merry Christmas
Inkadinkado stamp - Foliage Trails
Spellbinders die - Fleur de Lis Rectangles
I'll be off and about for a couple of days. I'm going to see my youngest grandson in a small Christmas production...should be cute, and then I'm off to see my parents. Just hoping the weather holds out, Please..no snow or freezing rain!! Take care everyone and drive carefully.

Take a break from winter...
Greetings everyone. Does anyone still like winter? We have another storm coming in...right now it's just the winds, but more snow is on it's way....oh joy! Needless to say, global warming doesn't include warmer winters! So how can we kick-start spring? I thought I would give it a go with a summer themed card....
This is another image from Just Inklined, titled Seaside Connor Crabbing. Once again, I've used the 'out of the box technique' to cut the image, after colouring with copics. On the card itself, I've expanded on the theme with some stenciled waves and stamped fish. Then some washi tape for added interest and clear circle stickers and a bit of doodling for some water droplets or bubbles.
Other stamps I have used:
Inkadinkado - Butterfly
Daisy & Dandelion - Gone fishing
Now doesn't this make you feel warmer.....well, perhaps if you jack the heat up some! lol. One thing's for certain...we definitely have something to look forward to! Warmer weather!!!
Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe and warm!

Mmmmm...yes please!
Hello again. Here I am with another of those little gift bags, using an inexpensive brown paper bag. You can never have too many of these...and they can be re-gifted and used again.
For today's project I've used an image from The Paper Shelter (A Penguin In My Cocoa), and a sentiment stamp from Inkadinkado (Winter Trails). I've again coloured with copics, adding a bit of glitter to the ribbon. The sentiment has been heat embossed with gold embossing powder, and as you will notice, then edged with DI.
The image is cut out with the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and attached with foam tabs, positioned so that the top of the bag tucks in behind for closing. Nice and easy!
The DP is an older one from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses line...a nice simple pattern to complement the busy image. The red ribbon and added greenery gives just a bit of decoration to complete the festive look.
Hope you enjoyed your visit and can take away a few ideas. Have a great day!

Staying cool
Good morning! It's hard to believe that it's already mid-July, until you step outside....it's a scorcher today! I've been away on a bit of holiday, so my gardens could use some attention, but that is not happening. It's inside for me today. Perhaps I'll chase some dust bunnies around....then a glass of wine...
Today I've played with this charming image from Just Inklined, titled All the Best Chalkboard. It was nice and easy to colour using my copics, and could be used for so many occasions.
I also followed this sketch from Sketch Saturday, adding some faux stitching for a bit of added interest.
The papers are from K&Company...their Julianne collection, and the stamp is from Inkadinkado...Vintage Expressions.
Lots of DI used on all of the papers, and just a bit of sparkle added with some paper candi for the corners.
Hope your day is wonderful, but take care and stay cool!

A One Layer Card
Good morning...at least I'm hoping it is! This winter has been a blast....of nothing but snow and cold weather. I'm surely looking forward to spring. If you are spending lots of time inside crafting, perhaps you can join us this week in our challenge at Charisma. The theme this week is One Layer Cards.
So, as you can see....there are no added layers or embellishments. I've used 3 different stamps with black ink, some blue chalk for shading, some glitter, and lots of doodling...all with glitter pens. The oval shape border was created by tracing around a Spellbinder's die, while for the zigzag border I used a stencil.
Stamps used
Queen Anne's Wildflowers Silhouette - from Sweet Stamps
Butterfly from the Inkadinkado - Garden Flower set
Sentiment from the Hero Arts - Sending Smiles set
This week we have two lovely sponsors, once again with some wonderful prizes:

A Fine Feathered Friend
Hi therel! Hope all is well with you, this fine weekend. My hubby's doing pretty good at the moment, so we are able to get out and about a bit. Yesterday, we did lunch with my brother Paul and his wife, and then later we went to my brother Ken's place for BBQ. We have a couple of visits planned for next week too....so hopefully everything stays good!
My card today, uses the lovely Gatepost Robin image from Just Inklined. This little guy has found a nice cool spot, this hot summer day....but it's definitely not around here! I've again used my copics, adding some glossy accents to the berries, and sparkly glamour dust for the snow. I've cut it all out, attaching with foam tabs for some dimension, which also lets more of the DP to show. You will see lots of DI, plus some stamping with a pearl paint dabber on the checkerboard DP. This is really nice and shimmery in the right light, and I even pulled out my heat gun and embossing powders to make the sentiment!
Hopefully I've put you in the mood to make some Christmas cards, while you try to stay cool!

Blue, Black and White
Hello there, I hope you are staying warm and cozy....seems like winter is back for a while. So maybe you can find some crafty time, and join us at Charisma Cardz for this week's challenge of Blue, Black and White.
I've gone with a simpler design this time....no image to colour. I could say it was quick and easy to do, except that it's been partially finished for a few months now. The card blank was already embossed, and I lightly brayered over it with black....and there it sat. Looking for something for this week's challenge, I added the blue DI and it took on a whole new life! The sentiment is from the Inkadinkado set..Garden Flower, and I've given it a bit of ribbon treatment and some silver brads. The corner flourish has been painted to coordinate, and then one little butterfly finishes it off.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has been up to, and hopefully you will get the chance to join in this week too. Once again, we have some generous sponsors and wonderful prizes up for grabs!
Thanks for visiting....and your lovely comments. Here's hoping you have a wonderful day!

Thinking of You
Hello again. How about a nice simple card today....you will notice there is no colouring! This is actually a sympathy card, something I don't make too often, but I am pleased with the result. I think the pink is very uplifting and goes well with the black and silver. I've had it made for a while now, and thankfully I haven't had to use it!
Just a simple stamp (from Inkadinkado), on which I used silver paint on black cardstock. I've used a rounded corner punch on both the image and the silver metallic backing, and a MS border punch for the pink DP. A black rub-on provided some additional interest, while the pink flower edging provides a bit of a soft touch. Nice and easy with a bit of elegance.

A Little Quickie..
For those of you enjoying a long weekend...hope it's a good one! We are enjoying some beautiful weather at the moment..not too hot! Not sure yet, if we are doing anything today, so here is a little quickie that I made a short while ago.
A simple little card using Kraft coloured cardstock and a left over scrap of DP. The Spring Daisy stamp is an older one from Inkadinkado, and I've used it twice but coloured them both differently. Inked the edges for a bit of distressed look, and minimal embellishments. No dies, no punches....what can I say.
So have yourselves a wonderful day, and here are a couple of challenges that I've found for my card. Be sure to check them out if you need some inspiration!

We're Home Again!
Hello again everyone, and let's hope you are all having a wonderful weekend........in between the raindrops, or whatever else Mother Nature has in store for you. We made it home Friday from a lovely 3 week vacation to England and France, and now we need to do a major catch up here at home. Honestly, with all the rain while we were gone, in some areas of our property the grass is two feet high! Can't complain though, we had 3 weeks of lovely weather while away (sigh), and this afternoon the sun did peak through for a couple of hours.
I will show some pictures in another post, and let you know some of the happenings, but for now here's a card I made a while ago but hadn't yet shown. I think I'm suffering from withdrawl, not having posted a card for 3 weeks! lol
Here I've used a clear mini stamp from Inkadinkado, called Sleepy Owl. For the background paper, I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on a light beige cardstock, which I've then sponged with blue DI. With the addition of some black cardstock elements for contrast, and a limited amount of bling and ribbon, I think this card will work perfectly when I need such a card for a guy!
Thanks for visiting me again, and maybe I've given you a few ideas. Otherwise, maybe you would like to check out these challenges for some further inspiration.

Butterfly Birthday Wishes
Hi folks, hopefully I'm back! I've been somewhat busy lately with plenty of company, grandkids and lots of numbers! Working during the day on financials doesn't leave me with much mojo in the evenings, soooo I'm going to switch it all around. Seeing as I work from home, I'm going to craft in the daytime and work in the evening..... We'll see how it goes!
For this card, I've made the DP using brown ink and the Antique Flower background stamp from Hero Arts. Then I've sponged with two colours of distress ink, orange and blue. Using black ink, I've added the Butterfly Scroll stamp from Inkadinkado. The outer edges of the card blank are also sponged with the same blue DI, and then, just a silver peel-off border and four gems for the corners. Nice and simple to make!
Hopefully you can take away something different from this post, and check out these challenges for some more inspiration. Thanks for your visit and lovely comments, and be sure to have yourself a wonderful day!
