It's the weekend....are you having fun yet! I'm hoping for an uneventful weekend, with no hospital stays or visits. Hopefully I'm not asking too much! Keeping my fingers crossed. All being well, we should be having some fun family visits too!
I'm sure this card will make you smile, or at least the story behind it..... Last year my brother and his wife celebrated their 25th anniversary, and she was hoping for something bright and shiny. Not quite what she had in mind! (lol) Hopefully, this year she will graduate from the parking lots and they can enjoy some rides in the country. Anybody else out there with their own motorbike? (or a brother like mine? ha ha).
This is another fun image from Just Inklined, called Hell for Leather. Coloured with copics, and a bit of chalk for some sky, I've played with some pink and purple shades for a feminine touch. Then, some silver stenciling and black flourishes to go with the biker theme. I won't bother mentioning the DP, as I've altered it so much it really isn't recognizable....but it worked!
The large stamped sentiment is a new one for me, from a Technique Tuesday set...Simply You, while the smaller one was a freebie from Stampdictive.
Hope you have yourselves a lovely weekend! Maybe, go for a ride in the country...

Blue, Black and White
Hello there, I hope you are staying warm and cozy....seems like winter is back for a while. So maybe you can find some crafty time, and join us at Charisma Cardz for this week's challenge of Blue, Black and White.
I've gone with a simpler design this time....no image to colour. I could say it was quick and easy to do, except that it's been partially finished for a few months now. The card blank was already embossed, and I lightly brayered over it with black....and there it sat. Looking for something for this week's challenge, I added the blue DI and it took on a whole new life! The sentiment is from the Inkadinkado set..Garden Flower, and I've given it a bit of ribbon treatment and some silver brads. The corner flourish has been painted to coordinate, and then one little butterfly finishes it off.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has been up to, and hopefully you will get the chance to join in this week too. Once again, we have some generous sponsors and wonderful prizes up for grabs!
Thanks for visiting....and your lovely comments. Here's hoping you have a wonderful day!

Sing Along.....
Hi there. Well, I don't know where this week went, but it's nearly the weekend again! Today's card is a bit different from the norm right now....no pretty pastels or flowers.
How about some dark grungy colours and a bit of a chuckle.... I'm thinking 'girls night out' here. (lol) This is another of the humorous images from Just Inklined called Bat Outta Hell, after a song which we all love to sing along to, no? Makes one wonder what we would look like.....don't go there!!
Coloured with copics and pencil, and edged with DI after cutting out with my nestie die, I've matted to black. The DP is from the Echo Park, Victoria Gardens pad....though hardly recognizable after tearing and inking it up! A bit of doodling, some stars, card candy and eyelets for embellishment, and then a sentiment from Technique Tuesday which I have stamped and then cut around, for a bit of added interest.
Have a great day, and hopefully I made you smile!

April Showers...then flowers!
Good morning! Today should be a good one, with a some lovely warm temperatures....kind of like what we had in March. (lol) I've noticed a few daffodils flowering in my garden, and tulips will soon be there. Now I just need to find some time to pull some of the pesky weeds.
Today's card uses an embossed card blank, to which I've added a bit of script and some DI. The delightful image from Saturated Canary is called Rainy Day, and I've noticed it is very popular! Coloured with copics, I've added some glitter pen for the flowers on the boots and umbrella. Just a wee bit of patterned paper peeking through, edged with some punched lace and a bow, and of course some pretty spring flowers.
Supplies used:
Tools - Nestibilities Label 18 die, Whimsy Stamps Vines die
Paper - Wild Rose Studio Spring Fling
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Hope you enjoyed your visit, and can take away a few ideas.

For a Little Guy...
Well, it's finally Saturday....and I'm hoping for a relaxing weekend! This week was very busy with doctor visits and appointments, so I'm looking forward to staying home for a bit. Perhaps Mr. Mojo will drop in for a visit....
I thought I would make a card for one of my 'Little Guys' (aka Grandsons), as I had been wanting to play with this image from Just Inklined for a while. This one is titled James Brum, and was such fun to colour using copics and a bit of pencil for shading. I've cut it out with my newest Nestie (labels 23), adding some DI to define the edges. I've used some kraft paper and a couple of pattern papers, still staying with nice soft colours, then adding a bit of doodle/stenciling to give the idea of motion. No added embellishments, so definitely a child safe card!

Fancy Folds at Charisma
Top of the morning to you all! Now we are into April, but don't you wish we still had March's warm weather? Mother Nature can be such a tease!
Today it's time for another challenge at Charisma, and this time it is my theme and I have gone with Fancy Folds. I do hope you can join us in our challenge, but first, be sure to check out the rest of the team's wonderful creations, you won't be disappointed!
Here, I've played with a delightful image from one of our sponsors, Digi Doodle Shop. I've used copics and pencils in some of my favourite colours, for a nice bright sunny look! (thinking spring!) A flourish, a ribbon bow, and a butterfly for embellishment, plus some lovely floral DP from Basic Grey's Picadilly pad, all pair well against the bright yellow card stock.
