So precious.

Haha stumbled on such a precious blog, which contains collective memories which later somewhat due to largely only me posting, has a large part of my random thoughts captured digitally even in the comments.

A 10 years old blog?

I stumbled upon this blog and realized the archives dated back to 2004. It's been 10years!

I really don't think anyone's gonna see this post but anyways, I will just type away.

Saw some really old posts back in 2004 and realized that some of the things I remarked are still pretty much the same these days, despite different context. Take for example, 10 years ago I was already complaining how we are "lao ren" on the basketball court and stamina can't catch up with the young people. What about now?!

haha. In any case GPU people stumble upon my post, guys I just want to tell you, I really miss those basketball sessions, not for game but more for the moments.

blog: ANYONE THERE? :D

Heh heh.

So it happens that I was working on my sister's blog when I came across this old platform which we used to post pictures and talk crap to connect (before FB flooded it all)

Love!

In seeking self-betterment

I rejected the hypothesis of religion, however, I do believe and try as much to adhere to the filtrate from the many religions.

"People with integrity live by fairness, even when fairness puts them at a disadvantage or causes them significant difficulty. They fight fair even when those around them do not.

People of integrity consider their word their bond, allowing their “yes” to mean “yes” and their “no” to mean “no.”

People of integrity are authentic and transparent; they act the same, no matter who is present. Their lives are “what you see is what you get.”

People of integrity are straightforward in their conduct. They don’t hide what they’re doing, and they don't say one thing and do another. They are people “in whose spirit is no deceit” (Psalm 32:2 NIV).

People with integrity explain the facts in an even-handed manner, not in a way that makes them look better than the other person. They are respectful, helpful and gracious to everyone and anyone.

People of integrity go the extra mile with a smile. They do more than is required of them.

People of integrity are not afraid to ask for help. They’re not afraid to let God be their strength. They’re able to handle tough situations, knowing God is at work in them.

People of integrity focus on “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable,” anything at all that is excellent or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8 NIV).

Ehime, Hiroshima and Kyoto

For the sake of my facebook-less bro, here's an update from me!
I visited Miyajima, it's a 3 hours drive from Goo's grandparents' house, which was 11hours away by bus from Tokyo, which was 3 hours away by train from my house :D It's a world heritage site with a Torii, the red japanese portal structure which symbolise architectural and spacial threshold, out in the sea. It serves as an entrance for the gods, and each year there's a special festival where statues of gods will be placed on boats and they will have a lot of fire all over the place. Here I am, overjoyed!

I was a farmer for one morning, harvesting bamboo shoots. After locating the shoots, Goo's grandpa, a farmer, told me to look at the direction of the leaves, which will indicate which direction I should aim my hoe at to cut the shoot. They are really yummy, fresh and best of all, free. Her grandpa owns a 2 hectare orange farm, and a land with 2 rows of houses and a huge garden which provides almost all the vegetables the family needs for daily consumption. Goo's grandparents are really nice and friendly and I enjoyed myself tremedously. I also met her cousins+gf, uncle and aunty.

I also went to Kyoto for a short trip with Goo. Here, we are at a famous "Clear water temple". I embarassed myself when I clapped my hand twice after throwing a coin before making a wish. Japanese only do that in Shrines, not temples. I really dont know how to differential the 2, considering some shrines have fixtures and even statues of gods you will find in temples and vice-versa. :D however I cant help but marvel at the architecturem, as well as details, not to mention the whole atmosphere of it. These secular places combined Zen-like landscaping and calming water features, elaborated stonework carvings etc.

This is call the "Golden Pavilion Shrine", and yes..this structure is made of real gold. It's a world cultural heritage too. I read somewhere that in Kyoto, there are about 17 UNESCO world heritage sites within.

Oh! There are a lot of wild deers and this Mr. Deer was resting sleepily on a lazy morning.

Here, I was at GION, a place in Kyoto famed for the famous Musical and Geisha performance centre in ancient time.

Right..TATA!

Donnie's reply to Quan's questions

Wow it's been a while since I blogged.

Last time I blogged was 2009? (omg 2 years liao)

Facebook makes it easy to track our relationship I guess.

http://www.facebook.com/donnieseet?and=jeanwongqi

So anyway how did we meet?

My former marketing staff was looking for a graphic designer and my staff had a salsa friend who has a salsa friend who was a graphic designer (IE Jean).

Our first work meeting wasn't much.

I was attached then to someone else and I thought she was alright and she thought I was gay for the first 10 mins of our meeting (which is like the usual response I usually get)

That was Apr 2009.

Interest in each other didn't spark until a networking session on one of the Saturdays in July where I invited her to an event in Microsoft.

I caught her attention when I wanted to dabao pizza for church (read: Christian)

She caught my attention when she told me she was off to do a salsa performace (read: dancer = interesting girl). Turns out she was off to do an exotic dance performance but too pai seh to say.

Needless to say, by this point in time, my relationship with my then-gf was on the rocks. Long-dist relationship is really hard to maintain (hint hint to shashi)

I first told her that I was interested in her during a 'friendly run' from AMK to Thomson Prata Place on 30th August (a Sunday) and I told her then at Prata Place.

It sparked off a lot of questions because I was attached then blah blah blah.

I broke off my relationship and we were officially together on 23rd Sept.

Milestones in our relationship so far is that I met her super extended families (both Dad's and Mum's and they erm warmed up to me quickly)

My mom loves her like her own daughter. I showed her Vietnam (yay! she loves Vietnam) and met up with relatives there who complimented my choice (IE her lol.)

Had to straighten a few issues on my side including some teething issues with my closer friends (being in a relationship with me also means being in an entire network of close gal/guy friends)

She started a design business with MeL and closed it down.

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDD in case you guys don't know, we successfully bidded for a flat in Yishun Ave 6 (near North View Pri and Orchard Country Club)

Have yet to select flat.

And no I havent propose yet. Intend to but the date is SEEECCCRRREEEETTTTT.

And yes we are all super glad that you're okay bro. Saw some scary vids of schools shaking in Guma but really glad you're fine.

That's it! Come back soon Quan-mei!

Storyboard continues...

just stumbled onto the amazing GPU story board written when PK was leaving for Hong kong 5 years ago.

The storyboard stopped at 2006 and 5 years is a long time. Whatever happened to the GPU story in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010?

If my memory didn't fail me, here's my version of what I remembered:

2007
This was a year where the biggest accident happened to the white bro. A totally random day of the week at a random sunny day, a random car decided to beat a random red light at a random junction which at that split second he was on his way to get something random done. Hospitalised, the news spreaded like wild fire with Guokun being the spark (since YQ was going to meet him and was a few hours late). News went as far as his University friends and professors, to JC friends he haven't met for 6 years since graduation. It was an emotional time as we all feel drawn together by a mishap which turned out to be a blessing, where YQ went on to a quick recovery and was back in action, which he then toured around Southeast asia in a Youth Programme called SSEAYP.

2008
We bid YQ goodbye at a farewell party held at Nia's place. He was going to Hawaii for student exchange program for 5 months and we prepared a great singaporean feast for him just in case he miss the food too much. There were Hokkien Mee, Char Kway Tiao, Curry, Chilli Crab, Durian, etc, and many delicious homecooked food whipped up by his buddies. We gave him a nike shirt that wrote "SIN GA PORE" and signed off, which he wore on the plane and the first day in Hawaii.

2009
Our princess of the group got married (finally off the shelf! yeay! ;D)

And Guokun commencement- a new start to life as he stepped into his career and working his way for his future with Winnie!

Huiyi, Ramesh and YQ decided to join the OSIM triathlon relay! It was a pretty awesome experience and they came to the birthday celebration for Kun/Yao (?) in their Osim t-shirts and medals.

On YQ's birthday, who can forget how crazy it was, which is not surprising for that almost complete GPU turnout! The plastic cups with our names lined up like soccer players, the photo taking frenzy with erotic presents (SM briefs) and the after BBQ talk on "The thing which not many people knows but me" where Ramesh boasting how he acted big brother and told YQ to keep his hands off girls, such as Huiyi!

also, it was the 1st time that many of us met Goo, YQ's gf, when she came for a short visit. It was a surprise dinner followed by send-off at the airport.Sunshine girl, many called her.

2010
A new member in GPU, and the youngest one-ARIEL was borned! Our group's bundle of joy :)

We met PK again when the 6men team- Nia, Din, Zhen, Mesh, Yao and YQ went to HK for their adventure. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable time where they stayed in ChungKing Mansion, which looked dilapitated on the outside, avoided and even feared by the locals, as well as the trek to Tai Mo Shan, Abandoned (and prohibited) mine, shopping at ShenZhen and the many over-ordered Dimsum breakfasts. We also met many new friends such as Tracy when we joined Ramesh for a reunion of his "High-five Youth programme", as well as PK's buddy- KY!

Chuyao graduated and set himself ready for the new chapter of his life into his career! not forgetting his mother confiding in YQ how happy she was, and how she looks forward to seeing him attached! *MEGA HINT* YAO GE!

Again, it was a farewell for YQ as he made his way to Japan to work for a year. We had a crab feast party to see him off and was about to do an all-nighter to get him drunk at clarence's house, but it failed badly as we all felt the toll of our age and resigned to the fate that we rather sleep than to do damaging things like that to our bodies. A sure sign of ageing.

As we celebrated Sian & Serene's birthday, we invited Mdm Wan to join us and had a crackling time as Clarence explained to her about Facebook in english, chinese and cantonese. Awesome linguist.

Kun and Winnie got married! It was another milestone as Naekun was the first guy in GPU to get married. It was a sweet union painted with pastel colors and vanilla sky.

Nia and Din also decided to go down south and visit Siong the Koala bear.

2011
YQ secretly came back from Japan to spring upon Ramesh on his birthday during CNY. And that long overdued basketball session with the best turnout in years, where we decided to be young again only to suffer from the aches the next day (or shortly after the games). It was also the first time that we met Jan, Siong's beau, and Zhen's beau, during the birthday dinner for Clarence and Mesh at where else but Uncle Leong for a crab feast?

And of cos..there are a lot more other significant events which I totally have no clue of when it happened. If you stumbled onto this post, please tell me!

events such as:

-When did Siong and Chris grad?
-Which year did Siong leave for australia?
-When did Kun got spotted with Winnie by Sian?
-When did Kun announce that he applied for HDB with Winnie?
-When did we first meet Winnie?
-When did Donnie and Jean got together and when was the first time she joined GPU activities?
-How about Shashi?

Do post if you remember other important events which i failed to, if anyone ever sees this post

GPU storyboard

In 2002 (Prom Photo)
This is how we first got to know you. We got to know you first mainly through hearing about
you from Donnie. You were described as being so heavenly and being a girl that everyone would
want to know. In this prom photo taken in 2002, we finally got to “see” who you are. Through
that photo, we formed our impressions of you. We had mixed feelings coming to get to know
who you were. .On one hand, we were very excited for a brother in our clan - Yong Quan; for
you were one, who had tingled him with anticipation and interest with just this prom photo. He
had shown great interest in the first face to face meeting with you. The other brothers were just
as happy as well, as knowing that you might just add to the number of girls in this clan - a touch
of sugar and spice for them. On the other hand, some of us felt awkward and apprehensive as the
enthusiasm of that excited brother had kinda made some of us skeptical and disapproving of his
overwhelming behaviour. Nevertheless, we all felt that you were a doe-eyed and pleasant gal that
we would get to know and see more in the future.

2003
The wish of Yong Quan wanting to know you came true and he was introduced to you by Donnie. From
there, a special friendship began to unfold. Special moments from the 1st Valentine’s Day and other
outings that you had spent with our brother, you slowly moved on to get to know other members of
our clan. The first member was, of course, the founder of this clan - Ramesh. It was natural as he is the
other “black” half of Yong Quan and the time you spent with these two brothers had helped you to make
the first step towards the start of another wonderful friendship within clan. From then, your lifestyle
began to change too. Through these two guys, you got introduced to the sport of basketball. Evolving
from a girl who did not attempt to play any sports before, you began to know, learn and play basketball.
Basketball was a sport that you slowly began to fall in love with and, just like any other sport that has
that magical touch to bind people of all differences, basketball became the stepping stone for you to
bridge all the differences and join GPU to slowly close the gap and to get to know all of us.
Moreover, in this year, just like yourself, another girlfriend was introduced into GPU by Donnie
and 2003 also marked the year of the blossoming of the sisterhood of Qi and Qin.

2004
The year 2004 spelt a special chapter for ninety-nine percent of GPU members’ lives. For it was
a year marking the start of our adulthood, an embracement of the next phase in our lives. You
were with us for the first time as a member of this clan celebrating the birthdays of Ramesh,
Clarence, Adelene, Donnie, Yong Quan and Shuzhen, just to name a few. And even if you were
unable to make it for the actual celebrations for some, we are appreciative for your “behind the
scenes” efforts in helping out in getting the birthday presents. Through our birthday celebrations,
slowly, besides basketball, you got to know the other members in this clan, their characteristics
and uniqueness that each of them possess. Such as our “Cold Joke King” aka Soo Siong with his
really funny antics that would just tickle the group during our birthday or normal gatherings, and
Weili, (still remember him?) whose presence sadly, was beginning to wane off slowly.
Additionally, you got to play another sport that helped you bond with us even more. From
Snookerium to Pool Fusion, you got to know more of other members such as Huiyi and Guokun
who love this sport—pool. In turn, you grew to become one of the better female players and had
records of even beating some of the guys in the group. Nonetheless, basketball was still the core
activity that continued to bond us together, helping you to get to know Adelene, Jiasian, Shuzhen
and Zenia better and also strengthening your friendship with Serene too. It was a testament of
time for your skills, growth and confidence in basketball. In addition, it was also a year that
we had our clan’s second set of basketball jerseys printed in the bright colour YELLOW! 2004
was also a significant year for the commissioning of Ramesh, Soo Siong and Yong Quan who

celebrated their completion of their officer/commando courses. You were there in those proud
moments of their lives. You also got to know more of one of our canine members of GPU - Toto,
whom we have known for seven to eight years then. You liked her, who wouldn’t? With such a
playful and gentle character, she was a darling in all of our eyes. Lastly, the highlight at the end
of the year was the Christmas celebrations at Clarence’s house, your first event’s celebration
besides birthdays, with us. From there, you got to know who were the Karaoke Queens/King in
our group—Clarence, Huiyi, Serene and Shuzhen. In addition, you got to learn about our black/
white brother pair’s ritual of floor wrestling that can be really amusing and entertaining at times.
What a spectacular year
2004 was!

2005

After the hype and plentiful events in 2004, 2005 seemed to be a quieter year in terms of your
presence during our birthday gatherings and basketball, pool or “makan” sessions. Maybe, as
this year was a year of realization about the reality of adulthood that each of us are beginning to
step into, some of our priorities had changed. Being a Singaporean, being busy is the top
characteristic of Singaporeans. Especially being busy with school work where workload was
increasing for some of us who were in Universities which was a new level that required much
more academic effort. In particular, those in NTU were in their graduating year; for you and the
rest of the girls in NUS, you were all going to start the final year in university. Furthermore,
Huiyi went to Shanghai for a year and our clan had a member less to add laughter and fun into
the group. In addition, Guokun and Yong Quan were starting to embark their academic life in
NUS too, having to be embroiled into the trap of busy-ness too. Thus, our bonding basketball
sessions became less frequent as the “busy-ness” slowly engulfed each and every member of the
group. For you, it was unfortunate too that your skin was sensitive to sunlight and couldn’t be
exposed to the sun for quite a period of time. However, 2005 was still filled with memorable
birthday celebrations and a couple of firsts for you and the group itself. You experienced your
first time being at V’illage at China Sqaure for Zenia’s birthday, your first chalet birthday with
Guokun’s big day and definitely yours and the clan’s first time going clubbing together as a big
group of thirteen people at the town club, Rouge during Yong Quan’s birthday! How cool is that?
Our first time, drinking together and playing number games and making the birthday boy drunk!
hee hee…This year was also the year where you started to pick up one of the guy’s favourite past
times besides pool which is DOTA. You became the first gal in the group to embrace a
testosterone charged activity and excelling quite well in it too. Making you bond closer to the
guys in the group too. Though you couldn’t do much day time activities during this year, at least
it was a year with quite amazing night life events!

2006

In this present year of 2006, as a group we have already gone through almost half the year. As
always like the past three years, birthdays were always the occasions that really had the ability to
get people within the clan together. As some of the members started venturing out into the
working life, going through the last lap of University life and also being busy with other stuff.
Even though, GPU has a history of 9 years, it is a group of friends that have been able to stand
together so long because of the many memorable things we have done together and experiences
we share as a group. However, there are still many “firsts” happening to members and to the
group itself. For you personally, it was your first time to try your take in organizing Zenia’s
birthday party. It had also provided you a chance to communicate with her more intimately and

knowing her better in some little ways. GPU also had its first birthday ice cream bought for our
dear Adelene’s birthday. It was indeed a different kind of birthday celebration, having to watch a
movie that premiered on her birthday to commemorate her special 23. And remember the fun
that all of us had taking funny photo shots with “Over the Hedge” card board characters and
floor stickers that made us a spectacle for passers-by. It was also a first for you to celebrate
Huiyi’s birthday after her long absence from the group. Her special day was also a day that as
GPU, we had our first pubbing experience at a Jazz Bar down at Clarke Quay. Compliments to
Chu Yao, a loyal friend with a few words, having been there for us all the time, had generously
treated the whole group to the rounds of drinks. And of course, who could forget the “cork” joke
that our Carlsberg girl blurted out that sparked stitches and aches in the group’s mouths and
stomachs. It was also a first that you could stay out way beyond 11pm and be able to stay with us
all the way to enjoy the pubbing experience together with the group. And of course, the most
recent and memorable birthday experience is yours truly; a first once again, in celebrating your
birthday at a music café. Though, it was not really conducive to have group games and chatting
for every one of us, but for us, we witnessed some of the group’s karaoke queens and you taking
the stage. And that sure takes courage and confidence! The two recent events of your
convocation and farewell gathering with GPU that just passed would be and it would definitely
be memories that we as a group would treasure very much. I guess the saying of “you will only
start to appreciate and miss someone/something after you have lost it” is very much true. But,
we are not saying that we had not appreciated or had not any regard for you before as a friend.
Your journey with us has really only just started and just beginning to slowly forge deeper
relationships with different members of the group. Of course, we are not saying that our
friendship would just end here in Singapore but it definitely is a pity and a whole different
experience all together when you head back to your motherland. However, just like how this
year has not ended, we as GPU want to tell you that your membership in GPU is forever and will
never end. You have earned your place in this clan of ours and we are really appreciative of your
love, ever generous, selfless and giving ways that you have showered upon the group in your
quiet ways. You may seem not to be eminent or boisterous like some other members of the
group, but we know that if we ever need you to hold on to the fort in any circumstance, you
would always be willing and one of the first to do so. Here, we want to say that your friendship
with us is still counting on and that we just want to say … …

And... I went to Peru

After taking a 4 hours train ride to Narita airport and a 22 hours flight (including transit at Houston, Texas)..we arrived in Peru totally jet lagged. The time difference was 13 hours, which meant our day turned to night. But traveling wasn't meant for sleeping tho!!!!

*shouts* Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANCIENT RUINS SPOTTED!!!! ahaa..just making noise in Peru. This was the first Inca ruin that we ran into while on a taxi. The taxi driver was really nice and acted as our tour guide for the trip from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo.

yeah. the kind of landscape that we saw at Peru was breathtaking.

Train ride from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu- the place most famous in Peru for the ancient ruins of the Inca Empire.

Ha! Our reflection!

At Machu Picchu. A lot of trekking done and it was awesome as the view along the way and at the destinations were always worth it.

 Me and Goo were wrestling.

An Alpaca/Llyama.. they all looked the same to me. There were 4 different species which I cannot differentiate. Seems like only Peruvians can differentiate them at one look. We were told that you have to look at their tails, length of neck, shape of ears and body etc in order to tell them apart. Btw Goo is super timid..didnt even dare to go closer than 2 metres from these herbivores.

 BORN FREE!!!

The famous 12 angled stone! Ok...like all ancient gigantic stone structures (think Pyramids), no one knows how the ancient Inca civilisation moved these huge rocks in place, and how they are able to cut them to such precision that not even a blade can be slotted in-between them. Furthermore, these stones are not even joined together using mortar.

THERE'S MACDONALD'S!!! (note the color scheme. It's a regulation to blend into the historical site at Cuzco)

Ancient Inca temple built from stones and Adobe!

Near the Andes. We were at over 4000m above sea level and everyone seemed to suffer a bit of altitude sickness. But there were the Andes snow-capped mountains, vast plains that looks like you can roll on them for hours and beautiful lakes.

Floating Island on Lake Titicaca (pronounced as "titiHAHA"). When Spanish invaded, a small number of people escaped on reed boats as such. But the lifespan of the reed boat is only 1 year. So somehow families started joining their boats and anchored it down, building layers over layers and overtime, 40 floating islands resulted and lasted till today. The inhabitants depends on fishing, duck eggs, hunting games and tourism for survival these days.

Some ancient cemetery!!! and behind is a view of Lake Titicaca. It is the world's highest lake and is shared by 2 countries.

Heh...that's Goo, my sunshine!

At a local market. The people of Peru reminded me of Filipinos but their features are pretty different. There are a lot of really beautiful people (think Christiano Ronaldo) and I have to admit that some men there are really handsome.

The Simpsons!

Ha! I can't understand much of what the japanese TV channels are showing, not just in language but in content. There was once they spent an entire month's airtime showing the camera crew tracking down an agressive monkey who rampaged a town and scratched like 150+ people, why dont they just shoot that fellow with tranquiliser? And the comedy shows, Japanese seemed easily amused by fat drag queens and sissified cooks. So..i decided to see what shows I can download and so far I've watched "The Big Bang Theory", "How I met your mother", movies etc. But none captured me as much as the Simpsons! So here are a few images dedicated to this American Reality Show. (All images credited to http://www.deviantart.com/)
Pretty well drawn version of the Simpsons with characters incredibly captured.

And fusion of The Simpsons and Dragonball Z! OMG this is really good. You can see two animations fused into ONE!

 And of cos... NARUTO!!

San! Ni! Ichi!! Woooohooo!!!!

well can't find a better title for Christmas & new year countdown in Japan.

This year's countdown is a bit different in so many ways.

I don't know why but somehow it wasn't the exuberant, jubilant kind..it was filled with constant reflection and feeling a bit...weird if that is the correct word.

anyways here's some pictures for my bro, who decided to forsake the darkness and come to light by deleting his face book. Come on people!

This was taken at the Christmas illumination up Mt Haruna, which is about an hour drive from my place. To get there, my trusty van like going off road on snow laden road! Thank goodness it had snow tires and is 4wheeldrive. and the temperature was -7degree Celsius. I wasn't prepared for it and was freezing! but I took a lot of photos, because Goo said she wanted to see it but we didn't have a chance to go previously.

My Christmas eve was all white. wasn't prepared again for the heavy snow but what I was wearing was sufficient. Just had to use the scarf (given by PK) to act as a tudong. But the scenery was amazing. Going to an awesome outdoor hot spring naked, soaking half body in the water as snow falls all around you is pretty magical too.

My companions: Kiyomi and Yuzhi who were with me for Christmas. We bought a Christmas cake and was so hungry and sleepy but forced ourselves to wait till the clock strikes midnight. Right after eating the cake all I remember was crashing into my bed and sleep. We didn't even drink the alcohol or eat the tidbits we bought earlier!

Met Leebee, Goo, Cha, Yuzhi, Go and Thone (both not in picture) for dinner at Ginza. Haven't seen Leebee for almost 3 years since the last time I went to Laos in Jan 2008. A lot of good memories came flowing back.

Countdown at Zojoji- temple at Hamamatsucho, tokyo. We read that the temple gives out 3000 balloons at 10.30pm and we reached there at 9pm, thinking that we were early. What the website failed to mention was that we need to reach there at 8.30pm to get a wishing card which entitles us to the balloon. I was so sad but hey! the atmosphere was still overwhelming. In the end we (Shelley, Yuzhi and me) went Karaoke and shouted my lungs out before we wormed our way into the middle of the crowd and waited for the clock to tick. Funny was we ran into a big group of Singaporeans due to that distinct singlish accent. Turned out that they were all SIA stewards & stewardess!! whahah and they even offered us a cup of Sake which we trio used as forfeit item for our rock/paper/scissors game.

And right after new year countdown, Yuzhi and I went to Asakusa to meet our friends again. So we had some sake and finger food. It was just great catching up. For Yuzhi, she hasn't seen these friends since SSEAYP ended. It was really a great reunion. We all had so much fun.

And lastly..a present for Christmas./New year from Goo's family. Somehow I need a wardrobe revamp. Suddenly realised all my clothes are purely functional without any delight or style! have to be cooler to try to regain grounds.

I was just eating....

I was just eating my dinner when a thought struck my head.

sidetrack a bit.. I cooked 咕噜肉 and tofu-butter-scrambled eggs. It was awesome especially with my unique Thai spicy chilli sauce + Vietnamese garlic chilli sauce. Goodness is flowing in my blood.

Anyways back on track: The thought that struck me was ...No one, absolutely no one, can tell you whether your life decisions are right or wrong.

I was watching "How I Met Your Mother" and it was pretty inspiring sometimes what thoughts branched off from that show in my mind.

The show's main idea was Ted Mosby relating to his kids in the year 2030 about how he met their mother, and all the events are based on the past in year 2005. It's story telling, about the stupid things he and his friends did- about life, love, relationship.

Kinda hit me as a "reel" life representation of my life, our lives.

- Some mistakes just have to be made, otherwise we will never know it's a mistake. And if we do not make the mistake, we will go on with our lives not knowing if that was a mistake or not.

That's just one of them. I got a lot of thoughts about love and relationship, afterall that's the main theme of the show. But also about chasing dreams and passion too.

I hope, by the time I look back and relate my life story to my kids..it will be an awesome story. And I will tell it with their mother, and be a role model for them to learn how to love.

ok mushy things aside, There was a continuation to my thought:
No one, absolutely no one, can tell you whether your life decisions are right or wrong. It will be too arrogant, unless the person is God (if God exist that is). Suddenly I wonder what is the gender of Goddess of Mercy. I have read somewhere before that Goddess of Mercy has no gender. So why is he/she called "Goddess"?

Time to google. random thoughts.

Cute pencil cases

I was just walking around one class one afternoon and decided to take photos of all the cute pencil cases I saw! so here they are!

This was especially funny. My student said "That's my panties!" haha~

And this was just one class.

deliberately blurred this photo as we should not show the faces of the students on internet without their parents' permission. See the explosion of "V-sign", if you could.

and I was playing a dictionary game on my iphone and subconsciously typed in SABO. Miss using singlish :)
