FOD der

I know I already told you all about the new Food On Drunk blog, but you never listen. You're so fricking scattered that it takes forever get your attention. Like, "Hey ... Hey! ... I SAID, HEY, YOU IDIOT. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU. IT'S FOR YOUR OWN FRICKING GOOD!"

But, yeah. I know I already told you that Dave and Tania have a new blog, but I just thought I'd tell you again.

Tool Library

Berkley, CA has a Tool Library where residents can check out a whole list of tools for 3-7 days to complete projects. This is such a great idea. There have been plenty of times when I needed a random tool for a single job, but didn't want to buy that tool to use only once. Having paid $28 to rent a 32' ladder for 4 hours, I can really see a need for tool libraries everywhere. In cities where residents don't have the space to store a large collection of tools this makes especially good sense. On the other hand, it feels good to own a bunch of tools. It feels good knowing I can build or destroy a bunch of stuff with the tools I have.
