Mom: 63 years old, riding bikes since 1995, toured by bike 10 countries + Alaska. Bikes owned as an adult: 5. Just dropped a deposit for her first custom (Hunter) bike. About time!

I'm still riding my pink bike, despite of the notion it could have been viewed as a fad color a few years ago. I like pink. And girls smile at me when they see a manly man like myself astride my trusty pink steed.

"The Mayday call sign was originated in 1923 by Frederick Stanley Mockford who was asked to think of a word that would indicate distress and would easily be understood by all pilots and ground staff in an emergency. Since much of the traffic at the time was between Croydon and Le Bourget Airport in Paris, he proposed the word 'Mayday' from the French m'aider.
