On Vacation 5/15 - 5/26! What I'm taking for the car ride...

Hello all! I shall be on vacation this upcoming week (5/15-5/26), so posts will most likely not appear - unless I gain access to a computer to type up a review.

Want to see what I'll be taking with me?

First up: Broken Juliet by Leisa Rayven! I'm almost done with this, so it might not even make it to vacation, but we'll see!
Next!: Come to me Recklessly by A.L. Jackson. I received an ARC of this to review, so it's about time I get to it.
Thirdly: Low volume 1, The Delirium of Hope by Rick Remender. Got this one from Netgalley, and it looks great. Can't wait!
And finally, but by no means less important: Grayson volume 1: Agents of Spyral by Tim Seeley. I was surprised to get this one, since I usually don't get stuff from DC, but I do love Dick Grayson so I'm looking forward to it.
I will see you all upon my triumphant return!

Happy reading!

What I got this week

This was a really good week for me! I got some excellent books that I'm very excited to read and review.

These books are a mix of pleasure, reviewing in general, and reviewing for Romance Reviews Today. I think I'm going to start posting links to my Romance Reviews Today reviews, along with a short commentary on my thoughts, so you guys can see what I've been reading and loved! Or didn't love, as the case may be...

FOR GENERAL REVIEW:
: "The Six Crowns : Fair Wind to Widdershins" by Allan Jones and Gary Chalk. Juvenile. October release.
: "The Secret Zoo : Riddles and Danger" by Bryan Chick. Juvenile. October release.

FOR REVIEW ON ROMANCE REVIEWS TODAY:
: "Darkness Rising" by Keri Arthur. Urban Fantasy. October release.
: "Drink Deep" by Chloe Neill. Urban Fantasy. November release. - I'm holding off on reading this until closer to its due date. And it's *killing* me! I HAVE to know what happens. Fans of this series will know what I'm talking about. Eeeeek!

FOR PLEASURE:
: "Envy" by J.R. Ward. Urban Fantasy. - I still didn't read the second in this series, but I had a giftcard that was burning a hole in my pocket...
: "The Bride and the Beast" by Teresa Medeiros. Historical Romance. - I originally picked this up as something to read during lunch when I forgot to bring a book (shocker).. and ended up loving it.
: "Soul Thief" by Jana Oliver. Young Adult Fantasy.
: "The Fallen 3 : End of Days" by Thomas Sniegoski. Young Adult. THANK YOU THANK YOU Mr. Sniegoski for continuing this series!!! I have been a huge fan of The Fallen series since I was a teen. I love your Remy Chandler series too.. but Aaron's journey has a special place in my heart. I cannot wait to dive into this. Also.. I totally re-bought the Fallen books (in their new omnibus form!) so they would match this one!

Ahem. Sorry for Fangirl-ing out there. I'm just.. well, I'm just so darned excited.

What I just finished reading:
"Blood Ties" by Mari Mancusi - another quick, fun, action packed book in the Blood Coven series.
"Temptation of a Highland Scoundrel" by Sue-Ellen Welfonder - good, cute historical romance with the teensiest hint of paranormal.
"Queen of Kings" by Maria Dahvana Headley - Still... working on this one. Hit a snag a third of the way through. It was for the Positively Paranormal Book Club that I and a few coworkers run for our library patrons.

That's it for me this week. I can't wait to see what everyone else got!
Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #32

Welcome to another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday! WGW is my own little weekly meme where I talk about what I bought or received in the past week. On to the bookies! I went on a bit of a buying binge this week. Yikes!

Whatcha Got Wednesday! #30 and some fun/excellent news!

Welcome to another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday! WGW is my own little weekly meme where I talk about what I bought or received in the past week. I don't do this to brag, but to spotlight books that I might not get to for a while, or might not review at all - Such is the case with my Romance Review Today books, since I don't review those here.

Well, let's get to the books!

Half Price Books was having a Memorial Day sale all weekend, so I went to finally buy some of the books I've been holding off on, mostly because two of them are re-prints.
BOUGHT:

"Confessions of a Vampire's Girlfriend" by Katie MacAlister/Katie Maxwell.
- I already own the older, smaller Goth Faire books, but Ben and Fran are my favorite Dark One couple - I couldn't help but buy this version!

"Fallen 2 (Aerie and Reckoning)" by Thomas Sniegoski. - I already own these too! But it's been stated that Sniegoski will write another book for this series (YAY), and that it will match the covers and sizes of the re-releases. Plus, I love these books so much, it's totally worth it.

"When I Fall In Love" by Lynn Kurland. - I had the opportunity to read and review another book in this series, and loved it. I'm a sucker for a series that follows a family, as well as TIME TRAVEL! Especially the time travel. ;) So when I found this, I dove on it.

I feel like I forgot something, and I probably did *Sigh*. Well, if I did I'll include it in next week's batch!

This weekend is the Reader and Author Get Together, and I'm getting super excited! I've started working on some business cards for my blog, and I have my stack of books all ready to pack up for autographs. If anyone else is going, comment or drop me a line (my email is in the "Want Novel Addiction to review your book?" section) and we'll see about coordinating a meetup!

I'm starting to plan a big blog extravaganza to celebrate over 200 followers, my blogoversary, AND my birthday! My plan is to get a line up of authors to interview, have a giveaway every day, as well as a grand prize giveaway at the end. I'll include more details as things start falling into place.

And don't forget! Only two days left to enter to win "Raven's Kiss" by Toni LoTempio! Go HERE to fill out the form!

Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #29 and Carolyn was Randomly Kind to me!

Welcome to another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday! WGW is my own little weekly meme where I talk about what I got in the mail/bought for the past week. I don't do this to brag, but to spotlight some recent books received for review that I might not get to for a couple weeks (especially with this show! Final week!). And this week, I also bought some excellent nerdy T-shirts that I thought I might share!

First up, the books!

WON: "Starfire" by Kate Douglas. She sent me the book, some swag, and even wrote me a nice note, saying she hopes to see me at the Reader/Author Get Together in June!

GIFT (via RAK): "Master of None" by Sonya Bateman. Blogger Carolyn from Reading Under the Moonlight was super duper kind to me, and got me "Master of None." Yay!! I'm sure Carolyn is sick of my gushing thanks by now.. but... too bad! Thanks so much, Carolyn! The book has already made it's home in a place of honor on my bookshelves. Be sure to check out Carolyn's blog, she's got some great content!

NERDY TSHIRT HAUL: (Blurry, sorry!)
Why yes, that is the TARDIS surrounded by weeping angels. And the banner below says "The Angels have the Phone Box." Fans of Doctor Who will recognize the quote from the episode "Blink." I LOVE Doctor Who!!
And Harry Potter Fans will love the second shirt - Harry Potter Russian stacking dolls! Each doll (starting at the smallest) is a representation of one of the seven Harry Potter books. The 1st year doll is holding the sorcerer's stone, the second year is holding the diary of Tom Riddle, and so on!
The Tshirts above were purchased at Teefury.com, which is probably my new obsession - besides books, of course.

Some Updateyness:We're on the final week of the show! Tonight is Final Dress rehearsal, and I'm so excited to have an audience! The show is wonderful, the cast is fantastic, and I know people will love it. I should be back to a semi-regularly blogging and reviewing schedule come Monday or Tuesday.. probably Tuesday, so I have a day to rest after all the singing and dancing. =)

Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday! #27

Welcome to another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday - my own little weekly meme where I share what I received or bought within the last week. I don't do this to brag, but to showcase some reads that I might not get to in a while (due to my huge TBR pile), or I will be reviewing elsewhere - which is the case with my Romance Reviews Today books.

So Monday I was saying to myself "I guess I won't be able to do a Whatcha Got Wednesday post this week since I didn't get anything.." and then that very day I got THREE packages! Yay! So voila, a picture!

BOUGHT:
"Mind Games" by Carolyn Crane
- I LOVED this when I read it, so of course I had to buy it. This copy is used, but still in good condition. And I have a brand spanking new copy of book two, can't wait to read it...

GIFT:
"Defiant" by Kris Kennedy (ARC)
- Big big thanks to one of my critique group members, Robin! She got to review this for RRT, and offered it to me after she finished it.

FOR REVIEW:
"When You Dare" by Lori Foster (ARC)
- Oh. My. Gosh. I wanted this soooo bad. And then I got an email from a publishing consultant, offering me book one AND two. Of course I jumped at the chance. I practically drooled when I opened this package.
"Trace of Fever" by Lori Foster (ARC) - Eeek, I'm still so excited about these.

By the way, there might be a giveaway of "When you Dare" by Lori Foster on the horizon, so keep an eye out!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #26

It's time for Whatcha Got Wednesday! My own little weekly meme where I talk about what I received in the past week. I mostly do this to talk about books I either can't review here (since I review them for Romance Reviews Today) or won't get to for a while. So without further ado... bookies!

FOR REVIEW:
"Chosen by Blood" by Virna DePaul - I've been wanting this for AGES! Yay!
"Beg for Mercy" by Jami Alden - Not heard a lot about this yet, but it has me interested.

FOR REVIEW:
"Embraced by Blood" by Laurie London (sorry about the glare). I haven't even read book one yet and I get book two, eek! Also, I've received manuscripts before, but never one bound like that..
"Blood Law"  by Karin Tabke - Woo! What a cover.

Also.. did anyone else sense a blood theme? RRT has caught onto my willingness (read: LOVE) to read paranormal books. Haha.

General Updateyness:
The show I'm in is going well, and as much as I love it.. I'm to the point where I'm ready for it to be over. I want my life (or more specifically, my evenings) back. I'm so behind on reviews because I wasn't prepared for just how much time rehearsals would take up. I've been in shows before, but I'm usually not in this many numbers! But at least when the show starts running, I'll be able to hide in the back and read between my scenes.

I recently finished "The Restorer" by Amanda Stevens (my review will be posted on Romance Reviews Today with the May 1st update) and I LOVED it! So good, I cannot wait for the next book. I was so into the book I didn't even realize that I hadn't moved from the couch in over three hours  - talk about stiff when I finally tried to stand, eek. Fingers crossed that I get to review the next book in the series when it comes out!
I also finished "Hard Bitten" by Chloe Neill. This was the first book in the Chicagoland vampires series that I've read.. but I was interested enough to try the previous novels in the series.. when I finally get my TBR pile down, ugh. Anyways, I thought it was pretty good, but that ending about killed me! I wasn't prepared for that shock, dangit!

You have until tomorrow (thursday) night at 11:59 PM to enter my contest to win a copy of "Beloved of the Fallen" by Savannah Kline. Click here to enter!
And check out the guest post by author Mindy MacKay! She dropped by to talk about crossing genre lines, which I am all for. Everyone needs a little something different now and again!

Until tomorrow...

Happy reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #25

Another Wednesday, which means another Whatcha Got Wednesday. WGW is my own little weekly meme where I talk about what books I got that week, whether bought, gifted, or for review.

WON:
"Highland Master" by Amanda Scott
- I need to get myself one of those, a Highland Master, I mean.
"Master and Apprentice" by Sonya Bateman - YAY! I loved book one, I cannot wait to read this!

BOUGHT:
RT Book Reviews magazine
- I don't buy these very often, because not too many places around here sell it, but I made a rare visit to borders and couldn't pass up the article on "Cowboy heroes."
"Double Cross" by Carolyn Crane - I couldn't wait to read book two, had to buy it now now now.
"Touched By An Alien" by Gini Koch - I've heard so many good things.

That's it for me this week. I'm still working on my Young Adult Fiction challenge for work. I read "The Demon Trapper's Daughter" and "The Iron Witch." I really enjoyed "The Demon Trapper's Daughter," though I think I would recommend it to older Young Adults due to some of the subject matter. However, "The Iron Witch" just didn't do it for me. I couldn't connect to the characters, which kind of depressed me because so many people were so excited about it.

For the next couple I have to read, it seems like a huge chunk of them are dystopian.. which I used to love, but they're starting to make me depressed. I need a good sappy, funny Young Adult book. Maybe one of the books will surprise me.

Happy reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #24 And a general update!

Hello all! It's another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday, my own little personal meme where I talk about what books I bought or received this week.

Both books I received were for REVIEW:
"Unsavory Delicasies" by Russell Brooks (author of "Pandora's Succession"). Russell stopped by Novel Addiction some months ago as part of his Virtual Blog Tour, and contacted me about a review of his upcoming release, a collection of a few short stories.

"The Advice Girl" by L.A. Shaw. I wasn't going to take this book on considering my crazy huge To Be Reviewed pile.. but she sent along a few sample chapters of her book, and after reading them, I was hooked.
General Update-y-ness!I may have mentioned that my local library has begun a Paranormal Book Club for patrons, and that I am one of the staff discussion leaders. The first meeting of the book club (lead by my friend and coworker Linsey) had a great chat about the book. And tonight is my first time as discussion leader! We are talking about "Truly, Madly" by Heather Webber, and I spent yesterday re-reading the book and refreshing my memory. Of course then I immediately wanted to re-read the rest, but I stopped myself. Barely.

I'll have to let you guys know how it goes - I'm both excited and nervous. Here's hoping the bookclub will be a hit! *Fingers Crossed*

Also, sort of on that note - because I've been working on bookclub stuff, I have no scheduled posts for later today or tomorrow. I'll try and work on that this evening, but no promises.

Remember!
I have a few giveaways ending tomorrow night at 11:59 PM. Be sure to enter!
Giveaway of an ebook by author Becca Dale!
Giveaway of two copies of "Mine" by Jill Noelle!

Also, be sure to check out Rachel Thompson's (author of "A Walk in the Snark") guest post!
And the guest post by author Justine Eylot!

Happy Reading!

Another edition of Whatcha Got Wednesday! WGW is my own little weekly meme where I mention what I bought/received this week, whether it be for review or just for fun.

"Seduce Me In My Dreams" by Jacquelyn Frank
- I've heard some great things, I'm excited.

WON: Thanks to Steph @ Fangs, Wands, and Fairy Dust!
"Love At First Bite - A Vampire Lover's Cookbook"
- Not that I'm a great cook, but I'm can't wait to try some of these recipes.
"My Soul to Take" by Rachel Vincent - I've been wanting to start this series.
"The Time Machine" by HG Wells

BOUGHT:
"Eternal Rider" by Larissa Ione - Love this author, couldn't help but buy it when I saw such a great deal..
"Fallen Rogue" by Amy Rench - Only two bucks at Walmart. Thought it was worth a try!
"A Hunger Like No Other" Kresley Cole - I wanted to start this series, and it was only four dollars!

That's it for me this week. What about you guys, did you get anything you were excited about?

Whatcha Got Wednesday #22

Yay! It's Wednesday again, which.. well, doesn't mean too much for me because I have to work this weekend. But for those of you with a regular Monday through Friday job, that means it's halfway over! It also means it's time for my weekly Whatcha Got Wednesday meme, where I talk about my recent book arrivals.

I don't do this to brag or to show off, but as a chance for me to spotlight some books that I might not get to for a couple of weeks because of how huge my To Be Reviewed pile is. And, you know, that theatre thing I got myself into (yipes!).

So first up!
By now I'm sure most of you know I love author Jessica McHugh. She writes some seriously wonderful stories, and I've had the greatest pleasure to review two of her novels, The Sky, The World, and Song of Eidolons (Click the titles to see my review). She contacted me again to see if I was interested in reviewing her newest release Rabbits in the Garden and I said HECK YES. I also yelled at her for continuing to write good books and therefore making my To Be Read pile topple over, so umm.. Ahem, sorry about that. ;)

But anywhoodles, look for my review of "Rabbits in the Garden" coming soon, hopefully!

And lastly..
I'm a huge Sherrilyn Kenyon fan, and I love her Dark Hunter series. I'm also a fan of Young Adult fiction, so of course I enjoy her YA spin off featuring Nick. I can't wait to see how his actions affect the series.. if it comes to that. I couldn't wait to buy this one - good thing I was able to get it for a good price!

I did get a couple other books this week, but nothing noteworthy. I guess I better get back to reading! Up next is a review of "Rage" by Jackie Morse Kessler!

And don't forget, only two days left to enter to win one of three copies of "Night and Chaos" by Naomi Clark! Go HERE to enter!

And my contest to win one of three copies of "Cursed Mates" by Cara Marsi ends next Thursday. Click HERE to enter!

Happy Reading!

Today was an excellent mail day..

Normally I would do this sort of thing on my next Whatcha Got Wednesday post. But I was so excited about everything that I decided to post it today instead.

First up, a big thanks to Anna from Anna's Book Blog !!! I won a copy of "Dragon Warrior" by Janet Chapman and it arrived today! So quick! I'm excited to read it. And for everyone that hasn't already - be sure to check out Anna's blog. It was one of the first blogs I started following when I got interested in the blogosphere. Great reviews, contests, and more!

And next, big thanks to Vanessa (aka The Jeep Diva) for the big bag o' swag I received! Make sure you check out her blog too! I got a nice sized tote (A Lynsay Sands tote, yay!), and tons of little goodies, bookmarks, and more. And she even included some extra swag - I now have a Pamela Palmer snap bracelet! This is an author I have been meaning to try it, maybe wearing the bracelet around will make me remember to pick one of her books up next time I'm at work!

Once again THANK YOU!! Be sure to check out Anna and Vanessa's blogs for some excellent content. So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play with my new goodies. =)

Happy Reading! Or swagging! (That sounds dirty...)

Whatcha Got Wednesday #21

You only have today and tomorrow to enter my contest for a print copy of "Insight" by Jamie Magee! Go HERE to enter!
And you have until thursday of next week to enter my contest to win one of THREE copies of "Night and Chaos" by Naomi Clark! Go HERE to enter!

So! For me this week - I only got three books, but they were all for review. Two for Romance Reviews Today, and one for my blog.

"Karma" by Cathy Ostlere. This book... is written IN VERSE. Really. It kind of threw me for a loop when I got it, I have never read something like this. And it's young adult, even! I had to read it almost right away (because it's due like, now), so I've already finished it and sent my review out to my critique group. It was good, but I'm not sure I'd want to let a younger audience read it, even if it says for ages 12 and up.

And now "Hard Bitten" by Chloe Neill. I've heard a lot of great things about this series. I'm a little nervous about starting it at book four, but I'm sure it'll be fine (eep). And look how pretty the cover is! Alas, mine doesn't have a cover like that, instead I have the usual plain ARC cover. This one will be reviewed next month, so look for that in one of the April RRT updates!

And last but not least "Harvest Moon" by T.M. Marie. This author contacted me and requested a review, and I was intrigued enough by the storyline to say yes. So, once again.. I finally get through some review books, and my list is right back up where it was. Ahh, the life of a reviewer.. it's tough!

So, that's all I have for now. Again, please check out my contests (links above). And tune back in tomorrow for another review... I hope. I've been cast in a musical, so my free time is starting to dwindle.

That's right! I'm in "Urinetown, The Musical" as a rebel/chorus member. I love this show. Funny, with some great songs. And since I'm singing again (really, it's been years) it's making me miss music. Oh, I listen to it all the time, but it's not the same as playing it. Yep, I used to play guitar, violin, saxophone, piano.. and sing. So last night I picked up my guitar and start re-learning some notes and chords, and even picked up my Irish tin whistle (that I got IN IRELAND!) and played a few songs. It must be the nice weather that has me all in a tizzy.

Whoa, too much there? Sorry to throw that all out there. Anyways, have a wonderful Wednesday, and please feel free to share any books you received or books you're excited about! =)

Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #20

Welcome to another Whatcha Got Wednesday! My own little weekly meme where I show what I got in the past week. I don't do this to brag or to show off my stash for the week, but to get people excited about books and to maybe start some discussion!

First up: Go HERE to enter my contest to win a print copy of "Insight" by Jamie Magee!

This week? All books I bought myself. Eek!

BOUGHT:
"A Lot Like Love" by Julie James
- Sounds soo good.
"Weddings from Hell" Anthology - Ahh Bones is in one story!
"Primal Bonds" by Jennifer Ashley - True story: I thought the guy on the cover was holding a whip at first...
"Lockdown (Escape from Furnace) by Alexander Gordon Smith - This series was mentioned in a Teen Lit Webinar I attended at work (Library!), and I picked it up to try it out. If it's good, I'll suggest it to the librarian that purchases the Teen novels.
"Corralled" by Lorelei James - Love love love Lorelei James!
"Assassin's Honor" by Monica Burns - Sounds amazing. Cover isn't too shabby either.
"Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins - Finally, I own the entire set now, and can make my mother continue reading the series. ;)

Well, that's it for me this week! Lucky some of these were purchased on sale (two were 25% off, the rest were 30 - 40% off). I love buying books, but I really need to stop. Especially when I have so many books to review (which I am steadily working through).

Tune in tomorrow for my review of "Song of Eidolons" by Jessica McHugh! And make sure to enter my contest, click the link at the top to go to the contest post.

Happy reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #19

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's another installment of "Whatcha Got Wednesday"! WGW is my own little weekly meme where I get to talk about what I got  in the past week. I don't do this to brag, but to spotlight some books I received that I might not be able to get to for some time. All ebooks for me this week, and I'm super excited about.. well, all of them, actually.

Skin Thief (Cassandra Farbanks Series.) First up: Skin Thief (Cassandra Farbanks Series.) by Sonnet O'Dell. I reviewed the previous book in this series, "Lost Innocents," and really enjoyed it. Check out my review HERE, and keep an eye out for my review of "Skin Thief"!

Credo's Legacy (Alex Wolfe Mysteries) Yesterday I posted my review of "Credo's Hope" by Alison Holt - and she recently released the second book in her Alex Wolfe series, Credo's Legacy (Alex Wolfe Mysteries). I'm so excited to be able to review the second book, I loved the first!

Rage (Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Book 2) Next up - Rage (Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Book 2) by Jackie Morse Kessler. Thank you Netgalley! Though you're totally ruining my free time (and by that, I mean I no longer have any, thanks to you).

Bumped Also Netgalley - Bumped by Megan McCafferty. You may remember me gushing all over her Jessica Darling series, I can't wait to see how she pulls of a dystopian-esque novel.
The Goddess Test (Harlequin Teen) "The Goddess Test" by Aimee Carter. Mythology? You bet I'm in. Again, another netgalley book.
Kiss Me, Kill Me (A Paranormal Romance Anthology) Kiss Me, Kill Me (A Paranormal Romance Anthology) Thanks to Lori Brighton for this one! Several authors I enjoy in this one, and I can't wait to find some new authors thanks to this anthology.

Wild Desire Wild Desire by Lori Brighton. I enjoyed "Wild Heart." I'm glad I have some Historical Romance to mix it up. Thanks to Lori for this!

A Night Of Secrets, Historical Paranormal Romance (The Night Series) A Night Of Secrets, Historical Paranormal Romance (The Night Series) Another one by Lori Brighton.
I may be addicted.

That's it for me this week, but I think it's enough, right? I guess I better get to reading!

What about you guys? Did you get anything noteworthy this week? Is there anything you're exceptionally looking forward to receiving/buying? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #18

Welcome everyone! Whatcha Got Wednesday is my own little meme where I talk about what I got this week. I don't do this to brag or anything, just share what I received this week and hopefully start up some discussion about what reads we're all looking forward to. Also, since I review for RRT, this allows me to show what I've received from them, since I can't post the reviews here.

So... I was a bad, bad girl this week. With Borders closing, I went on a bit of a buying spree... Some of these are books I've already read (and reviewed), but I wanted them for my own personal collection. But anyways... here we go!

BOUGHT:
"Destined for an Early Grave" by Jeaniene Frost
- AHH NEW CAT AND BONES!
"Dancing on the Head of a Pin" by Thomas Sniegoski - Yay Remy Chandler!
"Bonded By Blood" by Laurie London - With a cover like that, I couldn't pass it up.
"The Black Sheep and the Princess" by Donna Kauffman - New to me author, and very interesting cover blurb
"Warrior" by Zoe Archer - So many people loved these, I decided to try them out!
"The Darkest Hour" by Maya Banks - Been looking forward to reading this.
"Fallen Angel" by Heather Terrell - ANGELS!
"How to Say Goodbye in Robot" by Natalie Standiford - Such a good, cute book.
"Sweethearts" by Sara Zarr - This book haunts me, sometimes..
"Nevermore" by Kelly Creagh - I just.. I really wanted it.
"All Jacked Up" by Lorelei James - Working my way towards owning the whole series!
"Paranormalcy" by Kiersten White - LOVE this one! Can't wait for "Supernaturally!"
"Zombies vs Unicorns" by Various - Do I really need a reason?!
"Matched" by Ally Condie (Not pictured) - Bought that, and automatically gave it to my Mom, telling her she just HAD to read it.
FOR REVIEW FOR ROMANCE REVIEWS TODAY
"Falling Under" by Gwen Hayes
- I.. don't know anything about this, but I agreed to do it anyways. =)
"Never Again" by Michele Bardsley - I jumped on this one. And not just for the awesome mantitty cover.

Well, that's it for me this week. And if I'm smart, that will be it for me for a long time, aside from review books.

So now it's your turn - did you get anything noteworthy this week? Do you agree that I am obviously addicted to books, and it's become an unhealthy obsession? Eek. Share your thoughts in the comments!

Until next time, Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday! #17

Hello everyone! Only one thing for me this week. Some stuff is already on it's way to me (I got the shipping notices) but I won't count them. Instead, I'm spending my time reading what I do have - finally.

So what did I get this week?

Against the Wind (The Raines of Wind Canyon)BOUGHT: "Against the Wind" by Kat Martin. When I was sick last week (alright, admittedly.. I still am sick. Ew, respiratory infection!), I was at the drug store, and in my medicated haze I totally bought this book. That said.. I'm still really excited to read it.

What did you get this week? Share!

Happy Reading!

Whatcha Got Wednesday #16

Welcome everyone! Another edition of "Whatcha Got Wednesday," where I talk about all my goodies - I'm excited to share what I got. I've heard some great things. And if any of you have read any of these, please tell me your thoughts!

First up! The books!
BOUGHT:
"Where I belong" by Gwendolyn Heasley
- I was shopping Borders.com to use up the rest of my gift card, and I couldn't pass this one up.
"Broken" by Shiloh Walker - Went to an author signing, picked this one up, and knew I had to have it - and Shiloh Walker signed it for me!
"Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins - A lot of the YA authors I love say they love this book - I'm banking on them having good taste, haha.
FOR REVIEW (for Romance Reviews Today)
"The Vampire Voss" - Colleen Gleason
- AHH, I am so excited to review this series!
"The Restorer" by Amanda Stevens - You know me, I loves me some Paranormal Romance =)
"Mercy Burns" by Keri Arthur - I have never read this author before, super excited!

And what you see above is all the swag I got from the Valentines Book Signing at Barnes and Noble! I got to see Heather Webber, who signed my ARCs for "Deeply, Desperately" and "Absolutely, Positively." When she saw me at the signing, she got up and gave me a hug to thank me for my review of "Absolutely, Positively!!!" I was so honored!
I also met and had a great chat with author Jillian Kent. We talked about reviewing, and her upcoming book. Unfortunately she didn't have a book to sign (her book hasn't been released yet!), but it was great of her to come out and chat with everyone!
I also talked to author Renee Vincent for a little while. I desperately want to read her Emerald Isle Trilogy, which begins with "Raeliksen." Unfortunately, they didn't have it at Barnes and Noble - BUT she promised she will have copies at the Lori Foster Reader/Author Get Together, which we both will be attending this June!
I also briefly spoke with LuAnn McLane and Kerri Stevens, as well as Lori Foster herself. It was a great trip, and I absolutely love that Barnes and Noble continues to invite such wonderful and kind authors to stop by for signings.

That's it for me! But what a great week it was! Now, c'mon.. share! What did you get this week? Anything you're looking forward to?

Have a great week, and of course - Happy Reading!!
