Our Week
Uncle Jarin Visits
Jarin, my sister Sarah's husband, flew into New York with the Airforce this week. He was so nice and came for a visit. We (meaning me) really wanted to get into the city and visit him and enjoy NYC, but we decided that Marcus was a little too young for our comfort to ride the subway and go into the city. So Jarin took the longer commute and came our way. We were so happy to eat dinner with him and then he played some games with the kids, making them feel so special, Miriam especially loved having him. And then he spent some time with our little Marcus while we chatted for a while. He is the first to visit and see our boy other than Mom, so thanks for making the effort...I know it takes a lot of work to get out to the country in NJ. Jarin just upped his status in our family and if Sarah visits soon, I would say the Thayns are favorites in our house.
Playing Outside
The weather has been so nice this week that I had to let the girls get out and play more than usual. We have a little area in the front of our house that the girls and all the other neighbor kids like to play in. This particular day Bekah was alone playing, but still having a lot of fun. I snapped a few pictures of both Bekah exploring the excitment of childhood and the beautiful colors of the changing seasons.
A few Random Pics
The boys watching football again. Finally the cougars pulled together a decent win!
Miriam's face says it all. LOVE IT!

Halloween
We started the day off at Bekah's school all dressed up. We took pictures with all the kids in her class. Here is one with all of the girls in Bekah's class. They are a tight little group who are so cute with each other. The other parents are great too and helped us a lot during the week we had Marcus.
Bekah made a scarecrow at school and was so excited about it. We hung it on our front porch and she couldn't be prouder of her work.
Three kiddos and Daddy
Miriam took a few weeks deciding between a ballerina costume and this Minnie mouse one. She chose the Minnie Mouse one, but Halloween morning when she put it on and I kept telling her she was a cute Minnie Mouse she would reply that she was a ballerina. Apparently she thought both were ballerina costumes. But as she got more attention throughout the day she figured out that she was Minnie Mouse and a cute one at that.
The Bride.....After going to a friends house and digging through their costumes Bekah came home very excited about this Bride costume. She is such a romantic. I am pretty sure that Glenn is still a little freaked out that she was so excited about being a bride....but a girl can dream can't she.
The Hungry cow.....thanks to Great Grandma White Marcus was an adorable cow for Halloween. He didn't mind the costume, but he really was hungry and mad about it in this picture. Poor guy. Once he got his warm milk from mommy he was happy once again.
Glenn and the girls met our friends for trick or treating. The girls had a blast. Miriam loved it and was so cute at each door...according to Glenn. She figured out how it worked quickly and got her lute and said a polite Thank you. Marcus and I stayed home and welcomed the four trick or treaters we had and kept our little guy healthy a little longer. All in all we had a great Halloween!!
