It has been fun having Glenn home this week. We have been able to do some fun Halloween things. Here are some cute pictures of our week. Also, before I had Marcus we went to a farm picked our pumpkins and had some donuts. I was too pregnant to carry any pumpkins home so they went later with Glenn and Nana and actually brought home a pumpkin. There are pictures from carving and painting pumpkins. And yesterday we made frosted cookies. Glenn is a master at frosting cookies and we found that Bekah is following in his footsteps and she was much more coordinated than even I am. Miriam just poured frosting on each cookie and ate more frosting than any human should....no dinner....but loads of frosting. We hope everyone has a Happy Halloween.

Super Nana
My mom saved us this time. We really could not have done it without her. She really was Super Nana. She entertained and taught and clean and cooked the entire time. She even slept in Bekah's bed with Bekah down on the floor next to her, so she got morning duty too. It reminded me of what a great mother she was to my siblings and myself when we were young. She is no average mother and I can't thank her enough for all that she did. We love you Mom!!!

Baby update
Bath Time
Here are a few pictures of Marcus' first bath. As much as I like the clean smell of a baby I never want to do the first bath. It is like recognizing that the baby isn't brand stinkin' new anymore. After waiting way too long I finally bathed my boy and he has now been initiated into our home.
Just some cute pictures of our little guy.
Masks
Most people know that I am incredibly paranoid about my newborns getting sick. And I believe rightfully so since Rebekah got RSV so severly when she was a newborn. Let's just say it will be a while until the public world (mainly church) sees this cutie. So since Rebekah got sick this week and ended up spending three days home from school. I quarentined Marcus and myself (thanks to Nana) in our room for almost three days and when I felt she was well enough to be around him we got her a mask and tons of purell and let her hold him. So here are the girls with their masks ready to attack Marcus. And yes....they simply surround him with "love" to the point I feel he needs to be saved...poor guy. At least he is loved.
Breakfast
The girls are still up to fun tricks and ate breakfast under the table. How fun it is when Nana is in charge of meals. They were so happy!
BYU game
Everyone knows what fans we are and especially Glenn is of BYU football. We were worried that I would go into labor when a game was on. Luckily it was the night before the TCU game and we were safe. I also believe that BYU lost the game for my sake so Glenn would not come away on such a high that he would want to name our guy Cougar. My sincere appreciation goes out to the cougars for that one. Anyway....here are our three kiddos in their BYU gear. Go Cougars!!!! Glad they won the nail biting game on Sat.

Marcus Spencer White
One week ago we were surprised by the early arival of our little Marcus Spencer White. I usually go late so two days early surprised all of us. I was not nearly ready...no bags packed or baby clothes organized or Nana present. Infact Wednesday was my day to do those things. I awoke Wed. morning to feeling my water break. I think I was in denial for a few hours since I wasn't have any signs of labor. Glenn stayed home from work and we got the girls off to different friends, packed my bags and headed for the hospital. I was induced around 2pm and had our little guy at 9:15 pm. He was 7lbs 9oz and 19.5 inches long. He came out looking just like Daddy all the way down to the ridges on his ears. Both Marcus and mommy are doing well, however it is taking us a while to get back on our feet. But, thanks to super Nana we are surviving well. More updates will come. Also, there were two other friends from the ward who were due around the same time. It was amazing that we all delivered within 15 hours of each other. So we all caught up in the hospital while the rest of the ward (it seemed like) was watching our kids. Most people have seen these pictures as Glenn did such a great job emailing right after our little guy was born...but he had some wrong addresses...and no addresses for some so I thought I would post pictures here too.
FYI - we are very much in love with this little guy. He has infused our lives with joy. There truly is nothing like a brand new baby directly from heaven to remind you of the sweetness of our Father in Heaven and of all our many blessings.

Milk
While picking up milk today at the store I realized that the date on my milk was my due date. I knew it was rapidly approaching, but was somewhat surprised to actually see it on the milk carton. Especially since I am not really showing any labor signs as of yet. We do keep recieving things like birthday invitations, field trip sign up slips, and attempting to plan football parties for right around that time. For some reason I keep thinking...could I really have a baby by that point? And in my head the answer is always no, but really it should be yes. It looks like I have better clear the corner in my room for our pack n' play (poor guy...no special treatment), wash some boy clothes, and maybe even pack a small bag, and make one last trip to Costco before this baby arrives. I feel like I am forgetting something, but I guess we will see.
While I am posting about baby stuff does anyone have any suggestions for brands of baby slings or nursing covers?

Dinner time
I know this is common for kids, but I still think it is so funny to see. Miriam is in the habit of storing her food in her cheeks. She does it every night at dinner. She will keep something in there all night long. It cracks me up. I am still not sure of her logic, but it sure is funny. I think in this picture she has grapes in both cheeks.
