What I Wore Today #24

Hi everyone!
I'm running sooo late, but before I leave, I just quickly wanted to show you what I wore for New Years Eve.

For a spectacular night like this I would normally wear something really sparkly, like a discoball/sequin dress, or something really fabulous, but since I had work on the last day of 2011, I decided to tone it down & choose something more simple instead, so I chose to wear a gold shimmery blazer, with black pants, some gold accessories, and my favorite sky high platform boots - which I think overall turned out great! It's not too much, but it's still great for the festive season in my opinion, all thanks to the sparkly gold shades!
I'm so happy, because I finally got around to wearing my brand new Versace for H&M choker aswell, which I'm obsessed with! I just want to wear it all the time! It's just so unique & so glam! (And it's even better with this gorgeous ZARA sequin clutch, which I did a post on not too long ago!)

Hope you all had a great New Years Eve, and I wish you all the best for 2012! :)

Orange Hermés Birkin Bag

Okay. I have been in a serious love/hate relationship with this bag, from day one. I'll explain why.

I think this bag is on my Christmas wishlist this year, in the 40cm size preferably, and why do I only think that, not know it surely? Because sometimes I'm just not too sure if this bag is really me afterall.

I absolutely love Birkin bags, they are one of my favorites, but as you know, I'm not really a huge fan of colours, and that is why I'm really hesitating over the whole orange thing. All my bags are black, black, black, and more black, ok and some white, and maybe red, and a little pink, but mostly black. You get the point...

Orange is a lovely colour, and such a classic, especially for Hermés, since it is their trademark shade, but I just can't decide... I'm so stuck on my black & white mania that I can't seem to break away from it. I think I need to break the cycle a little!

It just looks so lovely on Kourtney Kardashian, with her bronzed skin and dark locks, it just makes all her outfits pop! She was actually the one who made me fall in love with it completely. I never liked this bag on Victoria Beckham as much as her other gorgeous coloured Birkins, or on bad girl Lindsay Lohan or Formula 1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone for that matter. But Kourt just rocks it and makes me lust it even moooooore!

...
I need your help!
What do you honestly think?
Do you say yes to this orange Hermés Birkin, or perhaps... a big no?
Because I sure can't make my mind up, that's for sure.

Victoria Beckham has been spotted with her lovely orange Birkin several times before!
Lindsay Lohan also owns an orange shade Birkin, in 40cm. Wow, it looks so big on her!
Tamara Ecclestone & her sister Petra are also huge Birkin fans, they own several numbers of the famous bags. And of course here's a little street style inspiration for you!

I never knew Nicole Richie had an orange Hermés! She doesn't wear it too often, does she...
Of course, I saved the best for last - Kourtney Kardashian and her beautiful orange Birkin, with gold hardware!
SO LOVELY! She makes me want to buy one right now! Her gorgeous tanned complexion and dark long hair just goes perfectly with this shade. (That's why I originally thought it would also suit me, by the way.) Hmm.

Bright Oversized Clutches

Good morning everyone!
After my post on the Furla Candy Bags, I really felt the need to do a post on another colourful item, this time - bright, bold clutches!

The truth is, I'm not really into colour, I'm very fond of my blacks & whites, but I've definitely given into this current craze that is trending right now!
If you don't wear much colour like me, and want to spice your look up a little, these colourful cluthes are a must! Or if you want to try your hand at colour blocking, perhaps! Mixing & matching all kinds of colours is very fashionable right now.

What I'm trying to decide on is which colour I should get. It's definitely going to be big, and colourful, but I just can't make my mind up! I especially love the envelope style ones, so chic!
I was thinking either a hot pink, which is so me! Or the yellow. I don't know, but the yellow just got me. I can honestly say I own nothing yellow, so I think maybe it's time to make some changes!
Or maybe both?!
Oh Gosh, just watch me, I'm going to end up buying all the colours in the end. It always happens... Amy, control yourself! You don't need one in every colour. I repeat - You don't need one in every colour...

The Kardashian sisters have also been spotted with yellow accessories.
I think their hair and skintone definitely go with the yellow. I'm really loving all of them!
I have wanted a big bright lemon yellow bag for so long now! I have my eyes on one right now, hopefully I will be able to get my hands on it, with some help from my good friend Janet. It's not a Birkin, but similar to it. Shh, it's a secret until I make my purchase though!

Collier De Chien

I wrote earlier, that I would do a "what's in my jewelry box" post sometime (you can find the sneak peak here), but until then I thought I would do a post on my favorite bracelets.
These are a great investment, especially if you're into fashion like me.
Not to mention they make a very stylish and bold statement and give a real edge to any ensemble.

I got these two gorgeous pieces for my birthday, the white from my mom, and the black from my boyfriend, and I've worn them so many times since! I'm addicted to them! There are so many other colours & styles available - you can't help but lust over them.
They are definitely one of my favorite accessories.
(Eek, they got a bit dusty while I was placing them on the stones for the photo! I had to mention it, as I consider myself a perfectionist, and the smallest things that other people might not even notice, can annoy me very much sometimes!)

Wishlist #2

Each week, I will be doing a post on 3 items that I would absolutely die for!
Here are the next three items that are on my want list!

Currently lusting over:
  1. Hermés Medor Clutch. I absolutely love clutches. Day or night, I'll wear them whenever I can. One of my all-time favorite clutches is this gorgeous Medor clutch, by Hermés. It's insanely gorgeous, simple yet so sexy! I just love the typical Hermés lock detailing. It would go with my Collier de Chien cuff's perfectly! WANT!
  2. Yves Saint Laurent Arty Oval Ring - Black or Pink. When I first saw these rings, I absolutely hated them. I'm obsessed with rings, especially the bigger the better, but for some reason I was never too fond of these iconic YSL rings. But now I've actually realised they're not that bad at all! I think I was just really annoyed by everyone owning a turqouise or a coral one. And that's exactly why I have my eyes on the black, or the pink! I can totally see me wearing either of them!
  3. Alexander Wang Cher Large Siamese ClutchAs I said in the 1. point, I adore clutches! They are so practical, even for everyday wear, especially if you don't want to carry a huge bag with you. Well this beautiful leopard print Wang clutch is THE perfect clutch for any time of the day! It's big, so you can fill it up with endless amounts of things, and let's not forget how gorgeous it is too!
