Simple Thank You

I have an easy and elegant card to share with you today. Sometimes, all you need is one big, bold accent to make your statement - and I thought this large purple flower fit the bill.

I embossed my WorldWin cardstock with Spellbinder's Mystic M-bossablities folder. I lightly sanded the raised areas to give a different finish.  The flower was made with Donna Salazar's/ Spellbinder's Rose Creations die set.  The tag and border were cut with another of Donna's dies - Creative Book Pages Two. I added some metallic gold to the edges using Smooch Ink.  My sentiment was stamped with JustRite Stampers - Seeds of Summer clear stamp set.

Believe You Can Fly

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! I had an extra day off, so a little extra time to craft! This week we will be wrapping up our things with wings challenge at the Beary Scrap. You have until April 30th to get your entry in.

This has been such a fun challenge! Today, I used the lovely Butterfly Garden from Pink Paislee. Even the wooden dragonfly is from this line. Now, I did do quite I bit of altering on it! I used Stickles, Glimmer Mist, Smooch - and then sanded it all to distress it a bit. I also used some of the yummy seam binding that Kimm just got in the store. I am really going to be stocking up on that stuff - it just makes a project look so great! My sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

I hope you have a great week!

Chapel Road Challenge

We are shaking things up a bit at the Chapel Road stamps challenge - Now you can use any stamp to play along with us, as long as you follow the current theme. If you do use Chapel Road stamps, you will be entered twice. Also, our challenges will now be on the 3rd Friday of the month, and the Class Act Challenges will be on the first Friday of the month.

Our new challenge is for a non-traditional card, meaning either a shaped card or a fancy fold. I used my long-standing favorite easel card and the Adornments set. I thought this was just perfect for Easter Weekend.

I stamped and cut out my images. The cross was colored using Glimmer Mist, and edged with Gold Smooch. The qua-trefoil was colored with Copics and Gold Smooch. Lots of dimensional adhesives were placed to give great dimension.
