Third Eye Gypsy.Com is LIVE!

Hello beautiful souls!

It's time! It's LIVE! Yes, my new website is LIVE! I was excited to get most of it built the other day. So the base of the site is all built and I will be busily loading up my shop! HOORAY!! Below is a little video I took while I was building my site, but you can see my webpage www.thirdeyegypsy.com . So what's the most exciting thing about the new webpage? NEW WORK!

I have SO much art, jewelry, and beads that are NOT online yet. You may have caught a glimpse of them when I did  a 3 day sale, but after that they were not available. I was not going to keep adding things to my Etsy shop when they were not getting the views they deserved. As you know Etsy has changed a lot over the years. I was not really happy with the changes and how things were for the sellers. The site was no longer doing things in our best interest and a lot of us dropped off. We make our livings selling our art and it's hard to make a living if no one is seeing your work. This is the whole reason a webpage is so important. If you sell on third party sites THEY get all the views. Not you. WE are the ones that make these sites money and allow them to make millions on us. So it's only fair that WE get to benefit from OUR hard work, but enough about that...

I am just SO excited to be loading up my new shop! I even think about it while I fall asleep. I was even dreaming about it. I had a dream last night about having a few people helping me assemble my jewelry for my website. I was thinking about how they were going to add the pendants onto my finsihed sari silk necklaces, but then realized they would have to open the jump rings to put the pendants on when they sold and realized the snag there. Lol! You can see where my mind has been!

I am JUST SO EXCITED about all of the ideas I have in store for my work. Some ideas I got a chance to test out before I got ill and busy with my side projects, and others that are in the dream state while I build funds and start getting new equipment and supplies. The upgrades I will need for all of the new equipment will be expensive and I will need to tackle them bit by bit to really be able to bring my body of work to my new ideas, but I can tell you it will be like nothing you have ever seen! I can't wait to be creating all of these new things. The expanded business from my new webpage will allow me to get these new supplies and equipment. I couldn't be more excited!!

Well I am going to hop off here and get to it! You can check my webpage and see items pop into my shop! I can assure you I am just as excited as you to watch them go live. Let's count how many times I said "excited" in this blog post. Lol. Guess I need some new words ;)

See you all soon!

Love, light, and creativity,

xoxo Genea

We'll just finish off with Metatron's cube.

Pretty sweet,eh?

I also had some help from a pretty sexy model ;)

So what's the best way to take care of these lovely new necklaces?

**CARE INSTRUCTIONS**
*Wear your necklace painted side
facing up (shiny against skin).
Design has been treated with a sealer to protect it.
*Do not: get your pendant wet, wear in the shower, while swimming, or while sweating profusely.
*Do not: wear perfumes, lotions, or oils on your skin around your
necklace.
*Do not: leave your necklace in the hot sun, in a car, or place with
excessive heat.

Seems simple enough, no?

I had the pleasure of doing a custom 6x6 canvas for my friend, Jaron. I instagramed this baby last night right after I was finished creating it. It's so awesome. Here are some still shots.

Eeeeee so amazing, huh?! I loooooooooooooove all of the colors and layers.

The texture  on the black is pretty bad ass too :D

Christian and I also are on a new cleansing chapter of our lives. We went fully raw vegan 4 days ago. Day 3 was pretty terrible. I had the worst headache of my life. My body was detoxing pretty hard. I bet you are thinking, OMG, Genea how do you eat all of your food cold?! Well did you know that when you cook your food you kill all of the nutrient dense enzymes? True story.. We totally dig Liferegenerator. He tells you all about it in this video.

I bet you didn't know healthy looked so delicious! We made this raw creamy alfredo. We got a spiralizer from Costco for $15! This zucchini is JUST like skinny noodles except you don't get any bloat and eating it raw you get all of those delicious nutrients, Yay!

We also invited some friends over for some raw vegan tacos with fresh salsa and cashew sour cream! YUM!! These were so amazing I am even thinking about them right now! Seriously, eating food this good makes you not miss the old stuff. This was straight up raw vegan gourmet at it's finest. We would have easily paid $12-$15 a plate for these bad boys and we made it at home!

Raw does take time. You have to soak nuts over night to get them to release enzymes and make them more easily digestible. Dehydrating takes time as well. That is the next tool we need to add to our kit. A vitamix is in on our dream list as well!

On that note, I am off to go eat some of this deliciousness!

See you soon!

Love, light, and high vibrations,

xoxo Genea

Get dressed up and the fuck down!!

Hello beautiful souls,

It's all about feeling great and being happy. When I created this new jewelry I wanted to get dressed up and get the fuck down!! So what does that mean? That just means wearing clothing and jewelry that makes you feel good and getting out there and living life. That's what that means. Just being you, doing what makes you happy, going out, or just staying in. Wearing your jewelry just for you or going out, feeling confident, and enjoying life. That really is what it's all about(not to be confused with the hokey pokey) ;) So show me whatcha' got! Let's take a look....
Oh baby! Where would you go wearing these? Out on a coffee date? Out for a nice meal? Taking a stroll in nature? At a dinner party? At home just kickin' it around the house? Yep, it works for all of them. These everyday pieces can be dressed up or dressed down. Just do what feels good to you. So how do you get your hot little hands on these babies? Well I have offered them up in my *special* Third Eye Gypsy Facebook Group.
Some things are just so pretty you need to take a closer look. Just look at all of these pretty colors in the Wooly Wire that match so perfectly with my beads! So totally in love with these Ancient Tapestry "Sunset Sky" earrings.

Ooo let's see what we have here. Pretty sweet eh? Some juicy lime green and aqua with dangles and doo dads. I just love the black woven wire for those fine details, in "Bitter Green Infinity".

... and one more just for good measure ;)

Are you inspired now? Great, because here are some of those same pieces for you to use in your designs. You can find these babies in my Etsy shop.

Thanks for stopping in!

Rising Lotus, from mud to magnificence.

Hello beautiful souls,

I am excited to share what I've been up to. Hooray for Cancer season(the star sign that is). I have been celebrating birthday's with friends and making gifts is always the perfect time for new ideas. I actually took an older jewelry design concept of mine and evolved it. Remember my "Sunshine Lotus Ray's" earring design tutorial I had published back in 2014 in Wirework Magazine.
These are still as awesome as ever. Do you ever take a design and push it further to create a new one? I am always looking to improve things a step further in my life and my art. I guess this keeps me evolving to be the most incredible, high vibrational being of light I can be :)

This design actually came about because I was designing some special earrings for my healer and shaman friend, Stephanie Red Feather.

I created 2 different style earrings for her to choose. Here is the smaller size, which she didn't end up going with. They are available for purchase in my special Third Eye Gypsy Facebook Group(where I am selling and releasing all of my new work).
It's hard to fully comprehend an incredible design unless you can see it in action ;)
Here is the BIG MAMMA JAMMA design she decided on instead. Um holy wow, right?! These are totally awesome Gypsy statement earrings.
Wow, so BIG, BOLD, and surprisingly light weight. Oh yeah!!
I had to create some special beads for the gifts I wanted to create so I made this super BA run of beads to work my magic ;)

Next I created this sweet little everyday necklace design for my sweet cancer friend, Madison. Shhh she hasn't see this yet, but lucky for me she probably doesn't even know about my blog lol ;) Isn't she lovely?
I took her favorite colors and created this super awesome necklace that you can wear a few different ways!
How cool is this?!
My new friend, Daniella had her birthday next. Here is a photo of her wearing her gifts. Another fellow cancerian. Isn't she gorgeous?

I created these large style "Rising Lotus" earrings for her in her favorite color, purple.

I also tweaked this necklace design which I called "Crown Chakra Prayer Flags" which reminded me of peaceful prayer flags blowing their good intentions in the wind :)

But wait, Genea we saw extra beads in that pile of beads! You sure did!! But where are they, Genea?! Well they are conveniently for sale in my Third Eye Gypsy Facebook Group.

I also got on a roll making jewelry with my new beads so all of this lovely new jewelry is also available for sale in my group. Yippie!!

Coming up for air- creating and outsiding.

Hello friends!

I've decided to come up from some air. I have been busy making and "outsiding". I have really been enjoying lots of time being outside in the beautiful spring sunshine. Here are a few pictures from our Kansas City Drum Tribe.
Hula hoops!

A little Acro yoga. Ricky and our friend Kristen are doing a position called the "box".

I have been been making beads and jewelry and going from pile to pile sorting out the mess as I go. So let's take a look at what I've been making :D

It sure does take FOREVER to list jewelry, but I got a few new pieces in the shop. I still have LOTS more to photograph and add, but I am trying to balance out my "work" and "play". A few work things for a few play things :D

Last weeks shop update with more rustic lime green, aqua, and teal beads. Yum! Did you see I even made Vortex Flower HEADPINS! Yep, sure did!

Lots of other "little bits" in the shop as well. Some Vortex Flower bead focals, glass headpins, and little sets.

Here is what we made for mom for Mother's Day. Hooray for Pinterest!

We found a really great and easy tutorial for transferring an image to a wax candle. My idea for the candle holder botched. I sure did hand cut out text on some contact paper and etch "family" on the vase. I only had my bead etching liquid which does NOT work, so don't bother ;P I searched around and saw this idea using scrap book paper, so we did that instead. It turned out super cute :D There weren't any instructions, but I figure you guys are pretty clever and can figure it out. We used a little bit of sand paper to sand the glass where the paper went and applied the paper with mod podge. We hot glued the ribbon and bow separately :)

What's a pretty gift without a pretty package. I made this bag for mom with a stencil, some scrap book paper, and little vellum banner.

I got this amazing air vase from the lovely, Marsha Neal Studios! My mom kills plants so I decided to save her the trouble and I just gave her dead flowers :D

Mom's birthday just passed as well. Mother's day and her b-day are always a week apart. Boy lots of creating to do that week! Here is the necklace I created for her with the carved focal by S L Artisan Accents, and sea urchin bead by Blue Berri Beads.

Did you know I do all kinds of art? Not just a pretty face ;P I created this fanciful Harry Potter wall art for a swap partner I had. I made a cosmic nebula with Harry Potter's outline. It's layered over a page of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with the quote"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live". I was  a little proud of my new "baby". I took LOTS of photos of the process of this piece. You can see them here.

My friend Jamie moved out of state and I had wanted to make him a bead for forever. He never did tell me his favorite colors. He wanted me to be inspired to make him whatever called to me.... You can see why he didn't get a bead for awhile. Lol. I couldn't really think of anything until right before he left. I decided to do moon phases and the "Mother, Maiden, Crone" for him since he is Pagan. I made LOTS of these seemingly simple style beads before I was happy with them. These were the best ones I made ;)

My sister's b-day was in April and I was inspired to create these earrings for her. I really LOVE the black and pale aqua together. I had some GORGEOUS watermelon tourmaline faceted teeny beads. I had to dig through HALF the bag just to find a few that were drilled big enough to fit over 28 gauge wire. I am going to find the person that drilled these beads and punch them in the face >:D

I have contemplated making more of these, but I need to dig through those damn beads and see if I can find just enough to make another pair for my shop. Awesome "clay dings" are by my friend, Karen Totten :D

My sister has always loved rainbows together so I made her a pair of these for her birthday too. I made super teeny beads for my collaboration with Zenned Out so I used some of the extras in her earrings ;)

*Whew* see why I've been "absent" lately. Lots of stuff to make and do and not nearly enough time for ALL of it. Good thing I plan to live for a VERY long time so I can get most of my life's ambitions completes before joining "the man in the sky" ;P

Thanks for checkin' in! See you soon!

xoxo Genea

Wooly Wire "One-oh-FUN" by Genea Beads- Class at Bead Fest Philly August 22, 2014!

Hello friends!

I am super EXCITED to announce I will be teaching my first BIG class at Bead Fest Philly in August! Not only will we be vending again this year, but I will be teaching you the secrets of working with Wooly Wire! Class is held on August 22nd from 4:30-8:30pm. Cost for class is $110 along with a special show price kit fee of $55(valued at over $110!) .
You can click on the link Wooly Wire "One-oh-FUN"! to get signed up for class! You will need to scroll almost ALL the way down the page to get to the link, but I promise it's there! ;)

So what will you learn in class? Well when asked most of you were pretty intimidated to pick up Wooly Wire. I want to ease your mind about working with this FABULOUS new wire! You work with Wooly Wire just like you would any other wire except it's fuzzy and colorful. You just do a little felting and tucking of the end of the wire to secure it, but it can do just about anything else you normally do with regular metal wire. Here is a link to my "Finishing the ends of Wooly Wire and wire-wrapped bead" video tutorial.

I will be teaching you to: wrap, coil, spiral, and finish the ends of Wooly Wire! You will learn to: make a Wooly Wire bail, a corkscrew spiral necklace, and weave a pair of earrings! I will even be showing you how to make one of my recycled sari silk necklaces! I am very confident when you leave class you will not only feel super comfortable working with Wooly Wire, but you will be ready to DIVE into pushing the limits of your design!
For the class I thought you all would love working with my stone textured beads and who doesn't love that pinky purple?!
I chose a simple yet funky design for the necklace. I wanted you all to learn some basic and fun techniques with an "everyday" style necklace to wear.

My "Ancient Tapestry" earrings were VERY well received so I decided to also include the creation of these fabulous earrings to the class! The black and rainbow goes with just about every outfit!

Delightful, no?!

Well don't delay! Hop on over and get signed up now as we may fill up well before the show!

I can't wait to see you there!
