I'm back! Ish!

Oh how life gets in the way of crafting!  Nothing drastic, just life!

I have been keeping up with doing the posts for Audsentiments, but not done very much cardmaking at all.

So, just like buses....they have all come together....

So, the theme over at Audsentiments is funny Halloween sentiments - not too sure that mine are Funny to be honest, but hey ho!

And, in case you didn't recognise them, the images are from Bugaboo - really do love the images they produce.

The image below is from Simply Betty Stamps - and this has been coloured and sat there waiting for a card to be made!  I got so fed up with not using it, that I took the chance to do it when I did my DT cards...so here it is...I just LOVE that image!

So, that's me done!  I am hoping it wont be so long next time, but really, who knows - I am training to do my first ever 5k run and am doing my level 2 British Sign Language (including going to the Deaf Club!!!) and I work full time, have a family etc etc....I just need more hours!

Thanks for hanging in there with me and popping by!

Aud Sentiments - for a guy!

I know, I know...bad blogger, naughty blogger!!!!  I just seem to be really busy at the moment - have taken on a new horse, learning sign language,  started craft club at work, mum, full time work etc etc etc.  Mad!  AND those are all just excuses really because I am pretty certain I could squeeze the crafting in if I want to!  MOJO, where are you????

I couldn't refuse the chance to join in with this challenge though!  I LOVE Bugaboo!  The challenge over at AudSentiments is to make something for a guy and include a sentiment.

I wanted to showcase the images completely!  BUT I was also aware that posting them on my blog as individual cards might allow the images to be copied.  So, I just took the pics as you see them.  Each of them use different images and I just wanted some quick and easy cards as standbys!  I quite like them uncoloured - I think it shows just how easy it is to use Bugaboo images, no fuss, no bother!

Anyhow - thanks for not deserting me completely and popping by!  I have been doing some papercutting, so will post up images for that in a while!

Aud Sentiments - Happy Birthday

Such a nice, straight forward challenge this time!  We just needed to use the sentiment "Happy Birthday" - well, thats an easy one.  And then it got even better - I realised we were using Bugaboo images!  YAY!

I was a bit pushed with this card, so I decided to make the image all that mattered!

I just love this image - she makes me smile everytime - when I get to her age...that's what I am gonna look like - except I will need to have pink hair, or purple, or ...actually, just pink or purple!

Ok -thats me done for today - sorry I am a bit tight on time - it will ease off soon and I will be hop hop hopping around to visit everyone again!

Team Christmas Presents

I have a great team at work, in libraries.  They go out and do all the visits and promotion for us - and they are really lovely people - and boy, they work so hard!

I always want to buy them a little something, but it has to be the same sort of thing for each of them (no favourites) and it cant be too expensive (there are seven of them).  So I thought I would do the same as I did last year and just buy sweeties.  I decided to pretty up the tops and this is what the finished one looks like:

The image is from Bugaboo - so cute!  I added sakura glitter pen to the beak, bells, belt and antlers.  I then covered the beak and bells with crystal effects, love how they look.  And finally, a little glitter!

These have to stay in a bag under my stairs, so I am not going to stick the rest of the toppers on until the day, that way I dont run the risk of them getting ripped or scrunched.

Hope everyone is feeling in the Christmas Spirit!

Thanks for stopping by - Rx

Aud Sentiments - FUNNY!

This week over at Aud Sentiments, our challenge is to use a Bugaboo image to create a funny card!  Well, with Bugaboo images thats a really easy challenge!   Bugaboo images make me laugh out loud sometimes - and this card was no exception!

I made this one for my husband's boss who is a golf fanatic!  I did wonder about giving him a card so "close to the knuckle" but was assured it was ok!  Hubby still has a job so I guess it was!

So, thats my card!  Why not pop over to AudSentiments to see the other funnies - guaranteed at least one titter!  And then why not join in the fun!  I really am looking forward to seeing this challenge's entries!

Anniversary - and moggy with no self-respect!

Ha ha - yep, mention a kitty cat and you just had to come and check it out!

OK - pics of card first....

And now the moggy - no self-respecting cat would let his photo be taken like this!  His name is Pickles!

I suspect he is a "Rock Kitty" and is practising his air guitar!  Josh said Pickles is going to be in atomic kitten!!!!  MWAH HA HA x

Teacher's gifts!

Well, the end of primary education looms close!  End of term is Thursday, so I really needed to get these done this weekend.  I had an idea, you know one that sits and germinates, so I kinda knew what I wanted to do before I sat down.

There is a nice big bar of chocolate in the hangy doo-dah

Close up of the image - and a brief explanation

Anti-bacterial hand-wash.

The chocolate.....and of course, the wine!

It was very simple - a bit of fiddling around with the hangy thingy....but mainly just playing around in inkscape to make the labels etc.  I was a bit cheeky because I didnt hand colour anything - did it all in inkscape.  Yeah - cop out, I know - but I had 6 of these sets to make, so they would have taken me forever!

OOOOOOO forgot to say - the images are all from bugaboo!

Josh's other birthday cards!

Well, I showed Josh's card with the Kenny K image on...so here are another couple I had to make him....

the first was from my mum - I used a Dustin Pike image for this one - had it in mind to use for a while!

I then remembered this image from Bugaboo and thought I had to use that one too! - I didnt have another person to make the card from - so I made it from....Pickles and Popcorn (the cats), Gramarian and Yoda (the guinea pigs), Gwim Weaper (the lizard - say it out loud, it works better!), Da Beast (really cute and fluffy hamster), Cat Treat (a rescued hamster), Mina (rescue bunny) and Pleco and pals (fish).

I really enjoyed colouring in both of these images - they took a bit of doing, but they were great fun!

Two quick cards

One happy and one sad!

The first is for a friend at work who surprised everyone with her birthday!  First thing we knew was when her daughter posted a "happy birthday" to her mum on FB - luckily, no one from work (or very few) know about my blog so I can post this up here!

And the second is for a friend at work who lost her dad.  I am not great at these sort of cards...have to say Stampin Up kinda came to my rescue!  I had just bought the new flourish etc so took the opportunity to use it!

Thanks for taking the time to look

Bugaboo Birthday - Anything Goes

We did a recycling workshop at work the other day....lots of crafty makes, from recycled paper etc.  One of the things we got shown was how to make a gift bag....it never occurred to me that you didnt need to measure and cut etc - yep, ok!  Its really a wonder I survive!

Ermmmmm, well, I didnt actually recycle any paper as such....errmmmm the handle was made from a pipecleaner.  Hmmmmm maybe havent quite got the recycling bit sorted....but it does look kinda cute!

This is for the "Anything Goes" challenge for Bugaboo's Birthday celebrations.  Phew, final one of the week.  Its been an absolute blast!

Good luck to everyone else who is entering *she says through gritted teeth*.....why not pop over there and join in the fun!

Bugaboo Birthday!

The challenge today is Birthday!  I wasn't too sure what to do, but was fiddling with a new box design and realised it looked like a vase.  So my mind went ... box.....Hmmmmm VASE.......flowers......birthday?......vase, flowers....BIRTHDAY!

Well, I give flowers for birthdays!  The flowers are from a bugaboo image, the "stems" are kebab sticks painted shimmery green.

Why don't you pop on over to Bugaboo and play along?

Bugaboo Birthday - Blinged up clown!

Yeah yeah, I got it wrong!  Not completely unheard of (by any means lol).  OK - so today was meant to be using a freebie image and adding lots of bling!  Well, I got there!

Hee hee - just knew these feathers would come in handy ONE DAY!  I had to get Josh to hold the card so that I could get the light to shine off the bling!  And, yes, if you look behind the card, to the right, you will see a smear of tomato sauce - the remains of our meatballs that I made tonight!

Phew, best go and link this up over at the challenge - why not go and check it out?

Bugaboo Birthday Sketch

OK - you know my feelings about sketches by now!  Not good at them at all!  Too many pieces, not enough space etc etc.

I am determined to play along for the whole week at Bugaboo and Tuesday is sketch day!  Eeeeeek!

But, I made it!  Phew!  I think I just need to do more of them and then maybe, just maybe, I might get used to the idea!

And a closeup of the image.  Can't believe that I have not used this one yet!  It just seemed perfect for the sketch though.

Bugaboo Birthday - Blue and White!

All this week is Bugaboo's Birthday!  Besides the blog hop and the main challenge, they are doing individual challenges for 5 days, but the good thing is that they have given us all the list upfront, so people can work ahead if they choose to.

Today's challenge is to only use blue and white.  I have used Dotty and her cupcake!

Back tomorrow with the next one (if I get it done in time!)

Thanks for popping over today!

Happy Birthday Bugaboo!

I can't believe it, but yes Bugaboo are a year old.  It surprises me because I thought they had been going far longer - they seem to have the air of a much more established company.

Anyway, you know I love their images, so here is my
birthday card for one of my team at work!

Just gotta love that sentiment!  Anyway, link to the bloghop is over
on the sidebar - go have fun!  There is some fabby inspiration!

One image...two looks - THIRD POST TODAY!

Ha ha - love this image!  Used it for Thanksgiving....now here it is for Christmas!

Strange how different they look when everything but the background paper is the same!

Oh - and if you want the image...it's Bugaboo!  And if you want the sentiment?  It's mine!  Taken originally from Roseanne Barr and changed a little!

Thanks for popping over

Mum and Mother-in-law cards - yes, more xmas cards - gotta get these up before 2011!

This card is for my lovely Mother-in-law...its a little bit difficult doing Christmas cards for the Jewish side of the family...but this Bugaboo image made me laugh!
And this card is for my mum.  Mum has a cat (sister to my two cats) who would definitely bend the tree over if she tried to climb it!

Image is from Mo Manning!

Couple of Bugaboo Crimbo Cards

.....and right here is why I like Bugaboo!  Nope, you didnt come in half way, nope there is nothing messing from the top of this post...yep, I did start a sentance midway through a thought!

Both these images are Bugaboo and they couldn't be more different!

The Penguin one is for a friend at work - just way toooo cute!  I glittered up pearls to make them look like snowballs.  Have just seen the challenge at Bugaboo and it is Winter Wonderland with lots of glitter and shine - well this one fits that!

Well, think you might guess that the other one is for ANOTHER of Josh's teachers.  Just love the simplicity of that series of images.  This one fits with Die Cut Dreams challenge for a Christmas Carol - Oh little Town of Bethleham!

Anyway, enough praise of Bugaboo - will get kicked off Delicious Doodles DT (just joking!  Teri is fab, and very easy going!)

Thanks for popping by today!
