Well, here's another picture update on our lives!
George and Charlotte are quite the dynamic duo. They are seriously best buds. They went on a bike ride up at Turkey Mountain and had a blast!
Best sisters. Charlotte says frequently, "Leah, you're my best friend."
Before church with Momma.
Daddy and Leah.
I made a cute wreath with my friend, Deanna. Thanks for all the fabric, D!
Playing "Memory". This game is the worst. But they love it :)
Just two sisters. Having a chat on the porch.
I filled up their pool with bubbles. They thought it was the coolest thing ever! Score for this mom!
First day of school for my little Pre-K'er! Giving Dad a kiss goodbye.
Such a cute big girl!
Making silly faces on the window.
Char got the "Super Star" in her class!
Some beautiful flowers from my yard. Roses and the lilies are called "Naked Ladies" haha!
Wearing her heels. :)
There's a huge park by our house in Glenpool. The park has little landmark statues and such that talk about how Glenpool was where oil was first found here in Oklahoma. This is a missle that was used for something...sometime. I forgot what the plaque said.
We watched our friend's daughter for them overnight for their anniversary. Debbie and our girls get along SO well. It was fun having their first sleepover!
For FHE one week we talked about Ammon in the Book of Mormon. The sheep he was supposed to look over, escaped after some bad guys let them out. For our lesson I cut out a bunch of sheep and hid them all over the yard. The girls pretended to be like Ammon and gathered up all the sheep. It was a really cute lesson.
All of their sheep!
Charlotte drew this adorable drawing during a particularly long shopping trip. I gave her a notepad and pen and asked her to sit quietly while I got all our groceries. She whined, "But what should I draw??" and I replied, ".....Um.... How about you with a BIIIIIIIIG smile on your face?". She concentrated so hard on this drawing for a good 20 minutes. When she showed it to me she said, "See, I have long eyelashes and eyebrows and my big smile with LOOOOOOTS of teeth in my mouth. And it says my name because it's not Leah." HAHA! She cracks me up. I love finding all her drawings and writings all over papers in the house. Lately she's been writing my name and Mom and Dad over everything. She even sounded out her middle name (Luella) and wrote it on a paper "Lwela". It's adorable.
My best friend, Meghan, came and visited me for a week. It was so wonderful to have her here. We ate out a lot, drank a ridiculous amount of Diet Coke, played at parks, went to the zoo, decorated my house, and ate some more. It was so fun. She and I have been friends since the singles ward. We were both single, I don't think either of us had been in the ward long. One week in Relief Society she came over and sat by me and said, "I've decided that we're going to be best friends, so I'm going to sit by you." And we did become the best of friends. We have been through so much together and apart and I am so grateful to have a friend whom I consider family. She is more of a sister to me than a friend and I am so lucky to have that in my life.
Oral Roberts University, praying hands statue.
Meghan bribed the girls with glow sticks. Later that night, Leah broke hers open in the middle of the night and it splattered all over her room. It looked like a rave in there. It was actually pretty awesome. I should have taken pictures, but I was too tired.
Mr. Lincoln, Meghan's son. Their first day here, Meg and I went out shopping in the morning and George watched all the kids. We hadn't even left the driveway and poor Lincoln biffed it on the patio out back. He looked pretty banged up the rest of their stay. Poor guy!
Spray painting all my old frames.
Smashburger!
Meg sewed me some super cute curtains. Someone come over and see how stinkin' cute they are!
At the zoo!
We went to a pizza place while they visited, it's called Joe Momma's. It was TO DIE FOR. They give kids a ball of dough to eat play with.
Best buds.
It's been a really good couple of months. We have lots of projects for the house, but we love having things to plan for and do. Come visit us!!
