What's happenin'?

Well, here's another picture update on our lives!
George and Charlotte are quite the dynamic duo. They are seriously best buds. They went on a bike ride up at Turkey Mountain and had a blast!

Best sisters. Charlotte says frequently, "Leah, you're my best friend."

Before church with Momma.

Daddy and Leah.

I made a cute wreath with my friend, Deanna. Thanks for all the fabric, D!

Playing "Memory". This game is the worst. But they love it :)

Just two sisters. Having a chat on the porch.

I filled up their pool with bubbles. They thought it was the coolest thing ever! Score for this mom!

First day of school for my little Pre-K'er! Giving Dad a kiss goodbye.

Such a cute big girl!

Making silly faces on the window.

Char got the "Super Star" in her class!

Some beautiful flowers from my yard. Roses and the lilies are called "Naked Ladies" haha!

Wearing her heels. :)

There's a huge park by our house in Glenpool. The park has little landmark statues and such that talk about how Glenpool was where oil was first found here in Oklahoma. This is a missle that was used for something...sometime. I forgot what the plaque said.

We watched our friend's daughter for them overnight for their anniversary. Debbie and our girls get along SO well. It was fun having their first sleepover!

For FHE one week we talked about Ammon in the Book of Mormon. The sheep he was supposed to look over, escaped after some bad guys let them out. For our lesson I cut out a bunch of sheep and hid them all over the yard. The girls pretended to be like Ammon and gathered up all the sheep. It was a really cute lesson.

All of their sheep!

Charlotte drew this adorable drawing during a particularly long shopping trip. I gave her a notepad and pen and asked her to sit quietly while I got all our groceries. She whined, "But what should I draw??" and I replied, ".....Um.... How about you with a BIIIIIIIIG smile on your face?". She concentrated so hard on this drawing for a good 20 minutes. When she showed it to me she said, "See, I have long eyelashes and eyebrows and my big smile with LOOOOOOTS of teeth in my mouth. And it says my name because it's not Leah." HAHA! She cracks me up. I love finding all her drawings and writings all over papers in the house. Lately she's been writing my name and Mom and Dad over everything. She even sounded out her middle name (Luella) and wrote it on a paper "Lwela". It's adorable.

My best friend, Meghan, came and visited me for a week. It was so wonderful to have her here. We ate out a lot, drank a ridiculous amount of Diet Coke, played at parks, went to the zoo, decorated my house, and ate some more. It was so fun. She and I have been friends since the singles ward. We were both single, I don't think either of us had been in the ward long. One week in Relief Society she came over and sat by me and said, "I've decided that we're going to be best friends, so I'm going to sit by you." And we did become the best of friends. We have been through so much together and apart and I am so grateful to have a friend whom I consider family. She is more of a sister to me than a friend and I am so lucky to have that in my life.

Oral Roberts University, praying hands statue.

Meghan bribed the girls with glow sticks. Later that night, Leah broke hers open in the middle of the night and it splattered all over her room. It looked like a rave in there. It was actually pretty awesome. I should have taken pictures, but I was too tired.

Mr. Lincoln, Meghan's son. Their first day here, Meg and I went out shopping in the morning and George watched all the kids. We hadn't even left the driveway and poor Lincoln biffed it on the patio out back. He looked pretty banged up the rest of their stay. Poor guy!

Spray painting all my old frames.

Smashburger!

Meg sewed me some super cute curtains. Someone come over and see how stinkin' cute they are!

At the zoo!

We went to a pizza place while they visited, it's called Joe Momma's. It was TO DIE FOR. They give kids a ball of dough to eat play with.

Best buds.

It's been a really good couple of months. We have lots of projects for the house, but we love having things to plan for and do. Come visit us!!

Summer 2013- Settling down in Glenpool

Well, it has been FOREVER since I've posted. Most people that follow me on the blog are also friends with me on Facebook, so a lot of these pictures are repeats. But I wanted to have them all in one place. These are all pics from the summer and our amazing new adventure!!

Leah is showing me her chef hat.

At the Driller statue on the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

Sweet sisters :)

Free Summer Movies with our sweet friend, April and her daughter, Debbie! Debbie and our girls are seriously best friends. They get along so well. We are so happy that we also get along so well with April and John. We just love them!

Playing at the splash pad with our other sweet friend, Cheryl and her daughter Lydia. I met Cheryl when I took a quick job at a bakery early in the summer. I only worked there for a month, but I met some amazing women and will forever be grateful for my time there.

Some light reading.

Girls drawing on the boxes to pack up our apartment! YUP, we bought a house!

Date with the hubs.

I let the girls try on my wedding dress. They loved it. Char kept calling it my princess dress.

Playing on the slip-n-slide at Cheryl's house.

Yummy watermelon!!

Boxes, boxes everywhere!

It's upside down, but Charlotte was upset that I wouldn't let her do something, I don't remember what it was. After she got mad, she sat down and drew this picture of her family......without me. Ouch. :)

I still love her though!

Daddy and the girls snuggling before breakfast.

Signing on our house!!!

Officially HOMEOWNERS!

George's brother, Austin, came up to visit the day before we closed on the house. We felt really bad because we spent a good 3 days of his 6 day stay, packing and moving and cleaning the apartment and the new house. He was so helpful though! He was so willing to help and worked so hard. He fixed little repairs all over the house, hung up my new curtains, helped George put our new garage door opener together, and played and entertained the girls for us. It was so nice to have him here and I seriously was a wreck when he left. He is the best brother in law I could have asked for!

New house full of boxes!

LOTS of yard work to be done, but this was the second day in our new place.

After some weed pulling. This huge pile was from a 2-3ft square in our flower bed. There were seriously weeds galore!

Playing at the park with Uncle Austin before his plane left.

Going to The Center of the Universe with him.

Leah got the first bath in the new house. She was pretty excited!

After a little more yard work and the front lawn mowed. Still so much to do!

George mowing our backyard. We are so excited about having a yard and yard work to do to keep us busy. We know most people don't enjoy it, but right now we are having a blast with it!

Clearing out some of the weeds by our rose bushes.

 OK, tour of the house!

Another view of the front room.

Checking out our new library.

She LOVES her new bed!!

First week of church in our new ward!

A pretty rose from my rosebush!

April got me this sweet vase and I HAD to fill it up with some lillies. Char was so happy they were yellow!

AND silly faces.

We are so in love with our new (to us) house and town. Come visit us!!
