FREE Vintage Digi Stamp - 18th Century French

One of my other favorite
fashion periods is
circa 18th century...

Everyone looked
like Marie Antoinette.

Can you imagine
having to balance
a giant elaborate wig
on your head all day?

What can you do with this digital stamp?

The line details are quite amazing!

There aren't a lot of areas available
for coloring this image,
but it certainly didn't stop me from
adding just a hint of color...

Pink and blue
seem like a nice color choice,
so I added that to
the {Robe de l’Anglaise} gown
with Copic markers...

Maybe just a hint of Stickles
glitter glue to accent the
random floating
chandelier...

{Which I added after I took the photo}

This exquisite image would make
a nice greeting card
or ATC (Artist Trading Card)
or maybe part of a
creative scrapbook layout.

What will you create with this digital stamp?

Vintage Clear Stamp Set - Birthday Wishes

This sweet vintage girl image is perfect for coloring.

{*UPDATED 8/27/2014*}
This clear stamp set is available
at stampindamour.com

She is hugging a pail...so cute!

You might need some Happy Birthday greetings...vintage-style, of course!

What type of paper should I use for a stamp?

To check out the results for myself, I printed a copy on regular Office Max everyday paper with a laser printer and a copy with Neenah Solar White cardstock with an ink jet printer {printer settings on greeting card}....

Obviously, the regular paper is no match against the Neenah cardstock...for coloring.

Plus, it didn't seem really ideal to use with Copic markers on regular paper - it was difficult to blend and the paper absorbed the ink...as you can see it soaks right through the paper...although, it looks like a nice watercolor painting on the back.

You might be asking,
"Why didn't you run the cardstock through your laser printer?"

My laser printer doesn't seem to like thicker paper.
The ink jet printer handled it well.
No smudging from the Copic markers using an ink jet printer.

This Crate paper would be cute to use...so many pretty paper choices.

Maybe, I'll add a tiny party hat...

And add a "Happy Birthday" greeting...
(printed on regular paper, since I wasn't coloring it).

What type of paper and printer do you typically
use for printing digital stamps for a project?

What is your medium of choice?
(pencils, Copics, SU, or Tombow, etc.)
