I look for beauty and truth in everything. It's not always there of course but I try to find it or make it happen. I love people who make me laugh.

Distractions/Abstractions

This has been a busy week, visitors dropping by, my Dad's 93rd birthday yesterday and more visitors arriving on the weekend, which is all very delightful but I'm a bit scattered because it's also the last Saturday of the month which means ATCs . Also it's blog post day today if I'm to keep to my self-imposed weekly schedule. How to combine these two little activities in one afternoon?

Like this: look through my watercolour file for something I can cut up and rearrange as little art cards, then write about it, as I'm doing now. Above and below are the original abstract-y disposable pieces.

Then you make nine little 'frames' and judiciously place them over areas of your mother-painting where you think they might create a new composition.

Here is the set of nine

Now I'm ready for Saturday's trade.
