TTM Success - Matt Goodson

Here is another 2007 Bowman that I got out of my box and into the autograph album. This card came back signed from Matt Goodson and looks pretty nice.

Goodson (b. 1982) was a 23rd round pick by the Red Sox in the 2004 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Texas at Austin.  He played in the minors from 2004 to 2008, in thr Red Sox system.  He reached AA.  He had a record of 21-24 with 286 strike outs and a 4.61 ERA.

I mailed to Goodson on February 15, 2022, and got the card back on March 31, 2023, for a 409-day TAT.

TTM Success - Kyle Asleton

Finally back onto some TTMs, here's one I got back from Kyle Aselton on a coupke cards from 2007 Bowman and Bowman Chrome.
I have a ton of 2007 Bowmans, so I could probably populate a bunch of TTMs if I took the time and sent some out.  I'll get there, eventually.  I like this set.  It was one of the first Bowman sets I really opened when it came out.  I also got a lot from the card shop when it closed.

Aselton (b. 1983) was an 11th round pick by the Twins in the 2004 June Amateur Draft out of Oregon State.  He played from 2004 to 2009 in the Twins, Reds and White Sox organizations, reaching AA.  He had a.record of 24-21 with 421 strike outs and a 3.89 ERA.

I mailed to Aselton on March 7 and got the cards back on March 18, for an 11-day TAT.

TTM Success - Brian Duensing

Here are a couple cards that came back signed TTM from former pitcher, Brian Duensing.  The above 2015 Topps turned out nicely.  This set is a really nice one to get signed, and I have gotten quite a few into my album.
I was also able to get a 2007 Bowman signed, which turned out well.  I have a ton of 2007 Bowman, so it is always nice to get at least one of them out of my box.

Duensing (b. 1983) played in the majors from 2009 to 2018 for the Twins, Orioles and Cubs.  He had a record of 46-38 with 523 strike outs and a 4.19 ERA.

I mailed to Duensing on May 11, 2020, and got the cards back on December 2, 2022, for a 935-day TAT.

TTM Success - Pedro Powell

A trip through my box of early-to-mid 2000s Bowmans recently yielded me a couple prospective guys to send to TTM.  One of them, Pedro Powell, came back in November on two 2007 Bowmans.  That might be the most prolific year of Bowman that I hae in that box, as I got a ton from the former LCS when it closed.  I am glad when I can move some of those, since a lot of those plaeyrs have either moved on, or just don't sign.
Powell (b. 1984) was an 18th round pick by the Pirates in the 2003 June Amateur Draft out of Middle Georgia State University.  He played in the minors from 2003 to 2009 in the Pirates and Rays systems, reaching AA.  He had 547 hits, 1 home run and a .255 batting average.

I mailed to Powell on September 29 and got the cards back along with a note from Powell on November 26, for a 58-day TAT.

Some Signed Cards From Jackson

My friend, Jackson in Arizona, has been hosting private signings for a good while now, and seems to have found his niche and is pretty successful.  Recently, he has done a few and has sent me some cards as a thank you for helping him out over time.  Above is a nice 2007 Bowman Derrek Lee that Jackson sent me.  I'm pretty sure that I didn't provide the card, but it still is nice to see one get into my album.

Lee (b. 1975) played in the majors from 1997 to 2011 for the Padres, Marlins, Cubs, Braves, Orioles and Pirates.  He had 1,959 hits, 331 home runs and a .281 batting average.  He led the NL with 199 hits and 50 doubles in 2005, on his way to his best MVP finish (3rd).  He was an All Star in 2005 and 2007.  He was the NL Batting Champion in 2005 when he hit .335.  He was a Silver Slugger Award winner in 2005, and a Gold Glove Award winner 3 times (2003, 2005 and 2007).  He won the World Series with the Marlins in 2003.  He appeared on the Hall of Fame ballot in 2017, but received no votes.
Jackson sent me these two Neal Cotts cards from a recent signing, a 2004 Bowman and a 2004 Topps Cracker Jack.  I love the Cracker Jack set; they look awesome when signed.

Cotts (b. 1980) played in the majors from 2003 to 2009 and 2013 to 2015 for the White Sox, Cubs, Rangers, Brewers and Twins.  He had a record of 21-24 with 421 strike outs and a 3.96 ERA.  He won the World Series with the White Sox in 2005.
Finally, I provided several Jack Spradlin cards to Jackson for a signing, and I was able to get this 2010 Topps Pro Debut back signed.

Spradlin (b. 1984) was an 8th round pick by the Nationals in the 2005 June Amateur Draft out of USC.  He played in the minors from 2006 to 2010 in the Nationals system, reaching AAA.  He had a record of 17-18 with 317 strike outs and a 3.91 ERA.

Thanks for the signed cards, Jackson!

TTM Success - Mike Devaney

A couple more older Bowman cards were added to my autograph album with this TTM success from Mike Devaney.  The above 2007 Bowman Heritage card turned out great.  I enjoyed Bowman Heritage and was happy to see it resurrected a bit a couple years ago.  They always seem to look great when signed, and this one was no different.
I also got this 2007 Bowman signed, and it also turned out really well.  I'm always happy to get these signed and out of my boxes.

Devaney (b. 1982) was a 23rd round pick by the Mets in the 2004 June Amateur Draft out of Concordia University.  He played in the minors from 2004 to 2007, all in the Mets system, reaching AA.  He had a record of 33-18 with 377 strike outs and a 3.24 ERA.

I mailed to Devaney on September 22 and got the cards back on November 16, for a 55-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jeremy Papelbon

He isn't nearly as famous as his brother, but I was still excited to get a few cards back signed TTM from Jeremy Papelbon.  The above 2007 Bowman Heritage turned out well.  I have a small handful of these, and they look great when signed.
I was also really happy to move some of these 2007 Bowman, and they all turned out great.  I have a bunch of 2007 Bowmans, and am happy to get them signed.

Papelbon (b. 1983) was a 19th round pick by the Cubs in the 2006 June Amateur Draft out of the University of North Florida.  He played in the minors from 2006 to 2010, all in the Cubs system.  He reached AAA in his time in the minors.  He had a record of 22-15 with 338 strike outs and a 3.47 ERA.

He is the brother of former Red Sox closer, Jonathan Papelbon.

I mailed to Papelbon on May 24 and got the cards back on June 1, for an 8-day TAT.

TTM Success - Doug Deeds

More 2007 Bowmans were removed from my prospects box when I got these two back TTM from Doug Deeds.  He signed the 2007 Bowman Chrome with a silver Sharpie.  It is a bit tough to see the auto, but the card is still pretty cool.
The 2007 Bowman base came out much better, I think.

Deeds (b. 1981) was a 9th round draft pick by the Twins in the 2002 June Amateur Draft out of Ohio State.  He played in the minors from 2002 to 2012 in the Twins, Cubs, Diamondbacks and Angels systems.  He got as high as AAA, but didn't make the majors.  He had 1,056 hits, 97 home runs and a .293 batting average.

I mailed to Deeds on January 15 and got the cards back on February 26, for a 42-day TAT.

TTM Success - Karl Bolt

Two more 2007 Bowmans were rescued from my Bowman box when I sent these off to Karl Bolt TTM.  He signed my cards nicely in black Sharpie.
Bolt (b. 1985) was a 15th round pick by the Phillies in the 2007 June Amateur Draft out of the US Air Force Academy.  He played in the Phillies system from 2007 to 2008, reaching A ball.  He had 137 hits, 13 home runs and a .262 batting average.

I mailed to Bolt on January 11 and got the cards back on February 3, for a 23-day TAT.

TTM Success - Adam Bass

Here's another card that I got out of my Bowman box and sent off for TTM signing.  Adam Bass sent the 2007 Bowman back fairly quickly, but it looks like his Sharpie is dying.  Still, I was glad to move one of my 2007 Bowmans, so I can't complain.

Bass (b. 1981) was a 10th round pick by the Diamondbacks in the 2003 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Alabama-Huntsville.  He pitched in the minors 2003 to 2008, in the Diamondbacks and Padres systems, reaching AAA.  He had a record of 31-28 with 472 strike outs and a 4.52 ERA.  He also pitched a few games in Rakuten, to a record of 0-2 with a 7.63 ERA.

I mailed to Bass on January 14 and got the card back on January 28, for a 14-day TAT.

TTM Success - Dan Dement

A couple more older Bowman cards were removed from my boxes recently when I sent them off TTM to Dan Dement.  The cards came back signed in black Sharpie, and look really nice.
Both of the cards came from 2007 Bowman; one was a base and the other was a chrome.

Dement (b. 1978) was an undrafted free agent signed by the Devil Rays in 2000.  He played in the minors from 2000 to 2007 in the Devil Rays and Nationals systems, reaching AAA.  He had 802 hits, 77 home runs and a .268 batting average.

I mailed to Dement on January 16 and got the cards back on January 25, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Adam Carr

These Adam Carr cards had been pulled because one of my friends told me to pull cards and I had thought Carr's was among the list he sent me.  I was wrong, and the cards got shoved back in my box.  I hate pulling cards out, just to have to put them back, so I was glad when I was able to find an address to send TTM to for him.  I was even happier when the cards came back signed.
The cards are a 2007 Bowman and 2007 Bowman Chrome.  Both came out well, and now have been put into my album.

Carr (b. 1984) was an 18th round pick by the Nationals in the 2006 June Amateur Draft out of Oklahoma State University.  He pitched in the Nationals system from 2006 to 2013, reaching AAA.  He had a record of 22-21 with 297 strike outs and a 4.36 ERA.

I mailed to Carr on January 11 and got the cards back on January 22, for an 11-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mark McLemore

I got a couple more cards out of my rookies box when I received this TTM success from Mark McLemore.  Not to be confused with the former Mariners/Orioles second baseman, this Mark McLemore was a pitcher.  The above 2007 Topps Rookie 52 turned out great.  I wish I had held onto more of those cards back then, but I let a bunch go at card shows.  Now, I am enjoying seeing them get signed.
I also got this 2007 Bowman signed, which looks really nice.

McLemore (b. 1980) played in the majors in 2007 for the Astros.  He went 3-0 with 35 strike outs and a 3.86 ERA.

I mailed to McLemore on November 20 and got the cards back on December 12, for a 22-day TAT.

Another Couple of Signings From Max

My friend, Max, has been really active lately in player signings through a card shop near where he lives.  He has helped me get some really cool cards into my autograph album, but he also has helped even more by helping to clear room in my boxes.  He recently asked me to send him what I could find of Carlos Zambrano and Joe Crede for some recent signings.  I hooked him up with everything I could find, and once the signings were done, he cut me a deal on bringing a few back for my album.

The above 2013 Topps Tribute WBC has to be my favorite cards out of the bunch.  I found it after I sent him the initial package, so I had to drop it in a PWE to make sure it got to Max in time.
I added a couple Topps cards to the album, a 2012 (left) and a 2011 (right).  I always enjoy adding different Topps cards to the album.
2007 Goudey mini that I was able to find in my boxes.  The box these are in is usually at the bottom of my stack of boxes, so it can be arduous sometimes to get into it.  I was glad to be able to get several cards out of the box and off to Max.  One of these days, I'm just going to organize everything by year, regardless of card company, and then should be able to get into these a bit more often.
I have a small assortment of 2013 Topps minis left from a box that I took with me and busted at Andrew's house years ago.  I am always happy to get one of the remaining few left signed.  I have also been told by my brother that he doesn't like it when I post about a player, but don't include stats, so I will include Zambrano's, since I'm pretty sure I haven't yet.  I usually don't include the player bio/stats if I'm posting about trades and all, or if I have already done so through a previous post or TTM success.

Zambrano (b. 1981) played in the majors from 2001 to 2012 for the Cubs and Marlins.  He had a career record of 132-91 with 1,637 strike outs and a 3.66 ERA.  He was a 3-time All Star (2004, 2006, 2008) and a 3-time Silver Slugger Award winner (2006, 2008, 2009).  His best Cy Young Award finish was 5th, which he did 3 times, as well (2004, 2006, 2007).
Max also took all the cards I could find of Joe Crede for a separate signing.  I especially liked the above 1999 Upper Deck SP Minors card, simply because it features Crede in a Winston-Salem Warthogs uniform.  The Warthogs were the previous iteration of Winston-Salem's High A team, following the Spirits and prior to the Dash.
I also got a 2000 Bowman, 2007 Topps, 2007 Bowman Chrome and 2007 Bowman signed by Crede from Max.

Crede (b. 1978) played in the majors from 2000 to 2009 for the White Sox and Twins.  He had 787 hits, 140 home runs and a .254 batting average.  He was an All Star in 2008, was a Silver Slugger Award winner in 2006 and won the World Series with the White Sox in 2005.

As always, thanks for the deals, and for helping me move some cards, Max!  I look forward to your next challenge in finding cards for signings.

TTM Success - Matt DeSalvo

Here ae a few cards that I got out of my rookies box and into my album.  The cards were signed TTM by Matt DeSalvo and turned out really well.  The above 2007 Topps Rooke 52 looks cool when signed.

I also got a 2007 Bowman and 2007 Bowman Chrome signed that had been in my box since 2007.  It really is nice getting stuff out that has sat for that long and have them signed.

DeSalvo (b. 1980) played in the majors in 2007 and 2008 for the Yankees and Braves.  He had a 1-3 record with 12 strike outs and a 7.89 ERA.

I mailed to DeSalvo on July 20 and got the cards back on July 30, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Trey Hearne

I got a couple more older Bowmans out of my rookies box when I got these two 2007 Bowman signed by former Cardinals minor leagur, Trey Hearne.  Both cards turned out really well.

His chrome really looks nice, I think.  2007 Bowman Chrome jst looks sharp, in my opinion.

Hearne (b. 1983) 28th round pick in the 2005 June Amateur Draft by the Cardinals out of Texas A&M University.  He played 5 minor league seasons, reaching as high as AAA Memphis.  His overall record in the minors was 39-24 with 382 strike outs and a 3.80 ERA.

I mailed to Hearne on June 3 and got the cards back on June 19, for a 16-day TAT.
