TTM Success - Brett Caradonna

This 1998 Bowman Chrome card of Brett Caradonna looks great in person.  I found it in the box of old Bowmans and polished it up nicely when I powdered it to send out TTM.  The powder I use seems to do well on Chrome cards, and Ive noticed it a few times.  I really like the backdrop of the card; an action shot of Caradonna making a catch up against the wall.

Caradonna (b. 1978) was a first round (34th overall) pick by the White Sox in the 1997 June Amateur Draft out of El Capitan High School in California.

He played in the minors 1997 to 2002 in the White Sox system.  He reached AAA.  He had 567 hits, 26 home runs and a .251 batting average.  I mailed to Caradonna on December 4 and got the card back on January 2 for a 29-day TAT.

TTM Success - James Manias

Here are a couple older Bowman cards that I got signed TTM from James Manias.  The above 1998 Bowman Chrome turned out nicely.
I also got this 1997 Bowman signed.  I like the old Devil Rays hat shown on each card.

Manias (b. 1974) was a 25th round pick by the Devil Rays in the 1996 June Amateur Draft out of Fairfield State University in Connecticut.  He played in the minors from 1996 to 2001 in the Devil Rays and Reds systems.  He had a record of 44-42 with 578 strike outs and a 4.10 ERA.

I mailed to Manias on October 11 and got the cards back on November 3, for a 23-day TAT.

TTM Success - Shane Monahan

Here are a bunch more cards that I was able to pull from the boxes I got from the former LCS and get signed TTM. These cards from Shane Monahan are a nice mix of late 90s stuff that was just locked in the boxes and taking up space.  I love being able to move some of the cards and show them off.  The above 1998 Donruss is a nice card that looked pretty good when signed.
I also got a 1996 Topps, 1998 Bowman Chrome (both at top), 1997 Bowman Chrome and 1997 Bowman (both at bottom) signed. The 1997 Bowman Chrome had a little bit of fading, but the card still turned out well. A lot of those cards in that box seem to have gotten hot and the UV coating had gotten fairly cloudy.  The baby powder that I now use has done a great job on cleaning the UV coating off and yields to a great autograph (as opposed to some cards from that same box with the old powder that I used to use).

Monahan (b. 1974) played in the majors from 1998 to 1999 for the Mariners.  He had 53 hits, 4 home runs and a .235 batting average.

I mailed to Monahan on October 9 and got the cards back on October 21, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jason Dellaero

Every time I go through my box of late 90s Bowman cards, I enjoy it.  Those are cards that I never would have had I not gotten my boxes from the former LCS.  Recently, I sent cards off to Jason Dellaero.  I had the above 1998 Topps Stadium Club and a series of Bowmans below.
He signed a 1997 Bowman, 1998 Bowman Chrome hometown and a 1999 Bowman Chrome. They all turned out nicely.

Dellaero (b. 1976) played in the majors in 1999 for the White Sox.  He had 3 hits, no home runs and a .091 batting average.  He was a first round (15th over all) draft pick by the White Sox in the 1997 June Amateur Draft out of the University of South Florida.

I mailed to Dellaero on March 17, 2022, and got the cards back on October 6, 2023, for a 568-day TAT.

TTM Success - Brent Butler

Here are several cards I got out of my old Bowman box, as well as a 2002 Topps (above) that all got signed TTM by Brent Butler.
Everything, except for the 2002 Topps, came out of the old box of Bowman and minor leaguers from the former LCS.  Butler has a great autograph, and everything turned out nicely.
I like getting these old Bowmans signed, since most of those guys have moved on.  It would be nice if I could catch a few of them at some games and really knock those boxes down.

Butler (b. 1978) is from Laurinburg, NC, a place that I have done a lot of work in.  He played in the majors from 2001 to 2003 for the Rockies.  He had 137 hits, 11 home runs and a .248 batting average.

I mailed to Butler on January 13 and got the cards back on February 8, for a 2-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mike Jerzembeck

Here's an old Bowman card that was in one of my boxes that I sent off to get signed.  This is a 1998 Bowman Chrome of Mike Jerzembeck that turned out nicely with his signature in black Sharpie.  These cards don't always age well, due to the chrome cards curling and getting a little foggy with age.  I was happy that this one turned out so well.

Jerzembeck (b. 1972) played in the majors in 1998 for the Yankees.  He had a record of 0-1 with 1 strike out and a 12.79 ERA.  Hey, he probably still got a ring, though.  Of course, he didn't appear in the World Series with the Yankees that season, but typically, most guys who were on the team that season get a ring.  I guess I should have asked him.

I mailed to Jerzembeck on March 1 and got the card back on March 7, for a 6-day TAT.

TTM Success - Ryan McGuire

Some nice cards came back signed recently from Ryan McGuire.  I thought I had more of his cards in my collection, but, of course when I am looking for them, they can't be found.  Still, I found these four and sent them along.  I was glad to get the above 1998 Stadium Club signed by him.  These were among the stuff I picked up from my former LCS, and they look great when signed.
I also got a 1996 Fleer Ultra, 1996 UD Diamond Debuts and a 1998 Bowman Chrome signed by McGuire.  They all turned out great.

McGuire (b. 1971) played in the majors from 1997 to 2002 for the Expos, Mets, Marlins and Orioles.  He had 133 hits, 7 home runs and a .211 batting average.

I mailed to McGuire on October 28 and got the cards back on November 29, for a 32-day TAT.

TTM Success - Kevin Gibbs

This card did not age well.  This is one of the late 90s Bowmans (1998 Bowman Chrome) that I got from my LCS.  The UV coating on it didn't age well, at all, and of course got worse when I prepped the card.  I've sent some of these off recently without any kind of prep; let's see if they come back looking better than this poor thing did.

Kevin Gibbs (b. 1974) was a 6th round pick by the Dodgers in the 1995 June Amateur Draft out of ODU.  He spent 9 seasons (1995 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004) in the minors and independent ball.  In the minors, he played in the Dodgers, Rockies, Yankees and Phillies systems, amassing 410 hits, 8 home runs and a .297 batting average.

I mailed to Gibbs on October 12 and got the card back on October 26, for a 14-day TAT.

TTM Success - Pete Munro

I have a bunch of 90s Bowman cards now, and it is always nice to get a few signed and get them out of my boxes.  Creating the space is great, but obviously, getting the autographs is nice, too.  The above 1996 Bowman that I got signed TTM by Pete Munro turned out really well.  This design is a nice one, I think.
I also got a 1998 Bowman Chrome signed by Munro.  The signature is a bit harder to see, but it's there.

Munro (b. 1975) played in the majors from 1999 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004 for the Blue Jays and Astros.  He had a career record of 13-19 with 189 strike outs and a 4.88 ERA.

I mailed to Munro on April 11 and got the cards back on October 24, for a 196-day TAT.

TTM Success - Chris Enochs

I got some more cards out of the cheap boxes from the LCS and got them signed TTM by Chris Enochs.  The above 1999 UD SP Top Prospects Great Futures card turned out really well.
I also got a 1998 Bowman Chrome, 1999 Bowman Chrome and a 1999 Team Best Baseball America card signed.

Enochs (b. 1975) was a former first round (11th overall) pick by the Oakland A's in the 1997 June Amateur Draft.  He pitched in the minors for 9 seasons and amassed a record of 45-52 with with 661 strike outs and a 4.87 ERA.

I mailed to Enochs on September 11 and got the cards back on September 29, for an 18-day TAT.

TTM Success - Kevin McGlinchy

I added a cool 1998 Bowman Chrome card to my autograph album when this card came back signed TTM from Kevin McGlinchy.

McGlinchy (b. 1977) played in the majors from 1999 to 2000 for the Braves.  He had a career record of 7-3 with 76 strike outs and a 2.75 ERA.  He finished 6th in the 1999 NL Rookie of the Year voting.

I mailed to McGlinchy on April 23 and got the card back signed on May 14, for a 21-day TAT.

TTM Success - Scott Elarton

I had Scott Elarton's cards in my box for a long time before I finally made myself send the cards out.  They all turned out well, and I was glad to add them to my album.
Elarton (b. 1976) played in the majors from 1998 to 2001 and 2003 to 2008 for the Astros, Rockies, Indians and Royals.  He had a career record of 56-61 with 698 strike outs and a 5.29 ERA.

I mailed to Elarton on April 27 and got the cards back on May 8, for an 11-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jeff Abbott

I added some cool, older Bowman cards to my album with this TTM success from Jeff Abbott.  He signed a 1998 Bowman Chrome, a 1996 Bowman and a 1996 Bowman Foil.
Abbott (b. 1972) played in the majors from 1997 to 2001 for the White Sox and Marlins.  He had 157 hits, 18 home runs and a .263 batting average.

I mailed to Abbott on April 11 and got the cards back on May 1, for a 20-day TAT.
