TTM Success - Tim Nordbrook

This TTM success from Tim Nordbrook was nice and all, until I realized after a pass through the to-be-TTMed box that I missed his 1991 Crown Orioles card. I'll have to send to him again at some point.  Still, the above 1976 Topps looks nice.
I also got Nordbrook on this 1978 Topps.  This is also a nice card, and his uniform appears to be airbrushed.  I could be wrong, though.

Nordbrook (b. 1949) played in the majors from 1974 to 1979 for the Orioles, Angels, White Sox, Blue Jays and Brewers.  He had 30 hits, no home runs and a .178 batting average.

I mailed to Nordbrook on August 7 and got the cards back on September 24, for a 48-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Al Hrabosky

This TTM request to Al Hrabosky took me a long time to finally send out.  I got around toit and then had to wait a while for a return.  I had gotten Hrabosky back in 2016 as one of my first card TTMs.  I sent this one out to get two more cards out of my box.
This 1976 Topps 1975 MLB Leading Firemen is cool. I wanted to drop it in the mail to Goose Gossage to finish it off, but he's charging $25/card now and keeping track of who sends to him.  I had sent to him several times, so there will be no getting away with another freebie.  That's fine, because his signature is worth it, so this one will likely get sent out to him soon.

I mailed to Hrabosky on March 9 and got the cards back on July 13, for a 126-day TAT.

TTM Success - Dan Osborn

This nice 1976 Topps came back signed TTM from former pitcher, Dan Osborn.  He's got a nice signature, and the card looks pretty sharp.

Osborn (b. 1946) played in the majors in 1975 for the White Sox. He had a record of 3-0 with 38 strike outs and a 4.50 ERA.

I mailed to Osborn on May 1 and got the card back on May 11, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Alan Foster

These Alan Foster cards have been in my to-be-TTMed box for a long time.  I finally got around to sending to him after putting some money aside for his fee.  I especially wanted to get his 1972 Topps signed, and it turned out nicely.
I also got his 1971, 1973 and 1976 Topps signed with this success.

Foster (b. 1946) played in the majors from 1967 to 1976 for the Dodgers, Indians, Angels, Cardinals and Padres.  He had a record of 48-63 with 501 strike outs and a 3.74 ERA. I mailed to Foster on February 15 and got the cards back on February 26, for an 11-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $5/card.

Another TTM Success From Tom Hall

An effort has been made to clear some room in my boxes, which is always the case, it seems.  I pulled some more Tom Hall cards and sent them out TTM.  I got this nice 1974 Topps back; it turned out really well.
I also got a 1971 and 1976 Topps signed by Hall.  I'm not sure if the cards came from Ryan or from a trip to the card shop in Winston-Salem.

I mailed to Hall on February 7 and got the cards back on February 16, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Stan Thomas

Here is a nice 1976 Topps that I got signed TTM by Stan Thomas.  It's a sharp-looking card showing Thomas in a retro Rangers jersey.

Thomas (b. 1949) played in the majors from 1974 to 1977 for the Rangers, Indians, Mariners and Yankees.  He had a record of 11-14 with 123 strike outs and a 3.70 ERA.

Another TTM Success From Terry Harmon

Here are a couple of cards that insent out recently to add to the Topps autograph count.  I liked the above 1976 Topps card of Terry Harmon, so I sent it out with the 1974 below.
Both cards turned out nicely. The 1974 was already smudged before I sent it. It doesn't affect the card too badly.

I mailed to Harmon on December 7 and got the cards back on December 18, for an 11-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Rich Folkers

These two cards of Rich Folkers were found in my box recently, which drove me to mail to him again.  Specifically, this cool 1976 Topps.  I just like how the card looks, so it will be a nice addition to the autograph album.
This 1973 Topps is also a sharp card.  It turned out great.

I mailed to Folkers on November 2 and got the cards back on November 13, for an 11-day TAT.

TTM Success - John Curtis

John Curtis's cards sat in my box for a long time.  I had seen that he signed then it looked like he had stopped. Finally, I got tired of thumbing past them and I checked again to see that he was signing.  So, I finally sent to him and got a great return of several cards, including the above 1984 Fleer.  I lime the simplicity of this set. I don't have many cards from 1984 Fleer in the album, so I made sure this was one that went out.
I also knocked off a few Topps issues including the above 1976, 1980, 1981 and 1984 Topps.  I had a few of his cards left over, so I'll spread them out to some friends so that they can send to him, too.

Curtis (b. 1948) played in the majors from 1970 to 1984 for the Red Sox, Cardinals, Giants, Padres and Angels.  He had a record of 89-97, 825 strike outs and a 3.96 ERA.

I mailed to Curtis on October 9 and got the cards back on November 3, for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Sixto Lezcano

Sixto Lezcano's cards sat in my box for what felt like forever until I finally got around to paying his fee.  I got this great 1976 Topps signed, which turned out beautifully.
I also sent off this 1981 Topps that also looms nice.

Lezcano (b. 1953) played in the majors from 1974 to 1985 for the Brewers, Cardinals, Padres, Phillies and Pirates.  He had 1,122 hits, 148 home runs and a .271 batting average. He won a Gold Glove Award in 1979 and finished that season 15th in the MVP voting.

I mailed to Lezcano on October 11 and got the cards back on October 19, for an 8-day TAT. I paid his fee of $5/card.

I also got a 1972 and a 1973 Topps signed with this TTM submission.

Carrithers (b. 1949) played in the majors from 1970 to 1977 for the Giants, Expos and Twins.  He had a record of 28-32 with 275 strike outs and a 4.45 ERA.

Another TTM Success From Tony Perez

A nice completion happened recently when I got this 1976 Topps NL RBI leaders card back from a private signing with Tony Perez.  I had gotten Greg Luzinski at a National and Johnny Bench at one of the Hope For The Warriors signings a couple years ago.

I am really happy the card got completed. It looks really cool.

I sent to the Perez signing on March 9 and got the card back on April 10, for a 32-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jerry Grote

Jerry Grote has a nice autograph.  The above 1964 Topps that I got back signed TTM exhibits Grote's autograph nicely.  This was a nice card that I pulled from the boxes that Conrad loaned me, and I am glad that I got it signed.
I also sent this 1976 Topps that had been in my to-be-TTMed box for a long time. It's just a cool card, and turned out great.

Grote (b. 1942) played in the majors from 1963 to 1964, 1966 to 1978 and 1981 for the Colt .45s, Mets, Dodgers and Royals.  He had 1,092 hits, 39 home runs and a .252 batting average.  He was an All Star in 1968 and 1974.  He won the World Series with the Mets in 1969.  He appeared on the 1987 Hall of Fame ballot, but received no votes.

I mailed to Grote on March 16 and got the cards back on April 5, for a 20-day TAT. I paid his fee of $10/card.

Another TTM Success From Wayne Garrett

More 1970s cards were added to the autograph album with this second TTMsucces I had gotten from Wayne Garrett.  I had sent to him in 2019, and sent to him again after taking those 70s cards from Conrad.  The above 1975 Topps Mini turned out nicely.
I also got a 1971, 1974 and 1976 Topps back signed from Garrett.

I mailed to Garrett on February 2 and got the cards back on March 6, for a 32-day TAT.

I also got a 1975, 1976 and 1977 Topps signed by Brye.

I mailed to Brye on February 1 and got the cards back on February 13 for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Bob Coluccio

A couple nice mid-70s cards came back signed TTM by Bob Coluccio.  He is rocking a nice 'stache in the above 1976 Topps.  The card looks great signed.
I also got a 1975 Topps signed in tis TTM request, and it turned out nicely.  It is a pretty busy card, so the autograph doesn't pop like on the 1976.

Coluccio (b. 1951) played in the majors from 1973 to 1975 and 1977 to 1978 for the Brewers, White Sox and Cardinals.  He had 241 hits, 26 home runs and a .220 batting average.

TTM Success - Buzz Capra

A few more 70s cards were added to the album with this TTM success from Buzz Capra.  Again, here is a 1975 Topps Mini (above), followed by a 1975 Topps (below left) and a 1976 Topps (below right).
Capra (b. 1947) played in the majors from 1971 to 1977 for the Mets and Braves.  He had a record of 31-37 with 362 strike outs and a 3.87 ERA.  He was an All Star in 1974, a season where he also finished 9th in the NL Cy Young Race, 20th in the NL MVP race and also led the league with a 2.28 ERA.

I mailed to Capra on January 30 and got the cards back on February 6, for a 7-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Ken McMullen

Ken McMullen signed two cards for me TTM back in 2018, so when I found these five cards in my boxes, I thought it would be a good time to send to him again.  I had McMullen sign this 1975 Topps Mini, which turned out great.
He also signed a 1964 Topps, 1973 Topps, 1976 Topps and a 1977 Topps.  All of the cards look awesome.  I am glad I found what I did and sent them along.

I mailed to McMullen on January 25 and got the cards back on February 2, for an 8-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Lee Richard

His card may say Lee Richards, but it is, in fact, Lee Richard.  I had gotten him TTM once before, then found a few more cards to send out.  So, I got Richard to sign a 197 Topps Mini, 1975 Topps and a 1976 Topps.
All of the cards came out nicely, with Richard adding his "Bee Bee" nickname inscription.

I mailed to Richard on January 23 and got the cards back signed on January 31, for an 8-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Johnny Grubb

Johnny Grubb was an early TTM subject back in 2016.  I waited a while and compiled a bunch of his cards until I finally pulled the trigger on another request back in January.  I really liked the above 1976 Topps, and I think it turned out great.
The biggest reason I was excited to send to Grubb again was that I would be able to add a 1974 Topps "Washington" card to my autograph album.  It was thought that the Padres were going to move to Washington prior to the 1974 season, but it never came to pass.  Topps tried to get the jump on the move, releasing several players' cards with Washington depicted on the front.  They recalled many of them and replaced the cards with San Diego issues, but some Washington ones still remain.
Finally, I rounded out the submission with a 1977 Topps and a 1980 Topps.

I mailed to Grubb on January 23 and got the cards back on January 28, for a 5-day TAT.
