Park Yuchun’s fan club “Blessing Yuchun” launched some meaningful activities to commemorate their 3rd anniversary recently.
Formed in September 2010, “Blessing
Yuchun” is Park Yuchun’s fan club for older sisters and aunties aged 30
and above. In the past 3 years, they have been continuously doing
various good deeds and have attracted the attention of the public.
3 years ago, “Blessing Yuchun” donated 10
million won towards the surgical fees of a burn victim who had
financial difficulties. With that as a starting point, they helped
children with cancer, helped low-income groups in flood recovery efforts
and restoring study rooms, provided free meals for children centres in
regions experiencing difficulties, and continued to do various
charitable works til today.
To mark its 3rd anniversary, ‘Blessing
Yuchun’ raised 5 million won to build a library and study room for
children of multi-racial families in Jangsan Island in the Jeolla
Province and also gave over 8,800 books and stationery items collected
by the members themselves. The library will be named ‘Park Yuchun
Library’.
Not only this, ‘Blessing Yuchun’ also
gave 3 million won to a 5 year-old boy for heart surgery and 4 million
won cash plus stationery supplies to a home for newborns that was facing
financial difficulties. In total, they donated 12 million won in cash,
8805 books and 1 million won’s worth of stationery.
In this way, helping various people in need, they have donated more than 100 million won in these 3 years.
Park Yuchun is currently preparing for Bong Joon Ho’s movie “Sea Fog” which is expected to start filming on 30th September.
