Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017 :)

Yet another year has pass by once again.

2016 has been an eventful one and I'll be copying chunks I've wrote in my Dayre over here. I know I've been neglecting this little space because I had been focusing much on my Dayre.

It's easier to update that platform as compared to here and this is a more 'serious' platform as compared to there. But this place will not be forgotten for sure as this is the place where I started writing more than 10 years ago.

 "Summing up 2016 "

These were written 1 week before 2016 ends because it will take me quite sometime to finish writing this #2016review/#2016reflection

2016 was filled with many ups and down. Indeed as challenging/more challenging that previous years but I always believe in what doesn't kills you makes you stronger. Right? :)

" Honeymoon "

Embarked on our honeymoon trip on the first week of Jan 2016.

Probably the best time to travel because it's really dreading to go back to work after 'restarting' the year. Air tickets were probably the lowest at that time too haha.

It's a very impromptu decision though our cash flow is tight especially after the wedding. We just #yolo and went ahead. Not much planning as we were on day tour most of the time and it was one of our longer/further trip in recent years.

Missing the blues..

Never thought the view will be so pretty and come to think of it I might just enjoy Maldives.

One thing I regret not doing is to bring my sports gear to Perth.

The weather and air is so apt for a good run. I only remember when I saw many locals doing their routine runs in the morning/evening :(

It was a mad crazy hunt for you but I'm glad we found you. In fac,t we found many of you but you guys can be quite scare of humans at times haha.

We traveled so many miles mainly cause of you :)

A good day spent with you at rottnest island and eventually I bought back the quokka soft toy as souvenir!

So much love for this little fellow.

Favorite pic of all time taken by us :)

FYI, that's just the default face. The trick is to make it look up and you can see it's smiley face easily.

Letting it hold onto his favorite food helps.. Pluck some for them and they will come after you haha..

 "Driving License"

Something which I delay for years!

It was the most torturing/busy 3-4 months of 2016. It meant juggling between personal life/work and attending lessons.

Sacrifice many sleeps on the weekends to attend driving lesson, and after work personal time (till 10.20pm, those were the most torturing ones) for driving lesson.

Totally no dating/social time for that few months because I just want to get it over and done with.

Been there, done that and I will never miss those days ever.

Got over and done with on the 2nd attempt and on the last day of my PDL :)

Probably the happiest thing that can happen to me in 2016. It was 10 years late but better than never.

Happy until tears can drop simply because my car is waiting for me to drive. Even though touching the steering wheel once again after getting the license require much courage lol.

But at the end of the day, it's all about getting used to it.

"小白 🚗"

Our biggest purchase after the house.

I still remember how happy I was when I first saw you.

Like a 初恋.

Even though I always drool at other cars but you will always be my 'first love'.

You only has less than 1 year (from now on) with us but thanks for the memories. Life has been better with you around so I'm still thankful for your presence.

Probably gonna get quite emo when the day comes to bid goodbye to you.

"BKK 2016"

The 4 of us finally went on a overseas trip together after saying it for ages haha.

A different experience indeed and there's lots of first time in the trip. The epic moment when we were brought to a scam restaurant and hard to get out of it. Lol!

Haven really get down to writing about the new discoveries of this BKK trip and I hope I do it soon.

"8 Races"

Enough said. This picture says it all.

A total of 8 races in 2016. Back to the running streak and it felt like where I started in 2014.

Dropped to 6 races in 2015 because way too busy with wedding prep and glad to be back to races in 2016.

I already foresee lesser race in 2017 due to work commitment and probably no time to run (brain probably too tired after work) so I can only join those major races then.

I've already signed up for 2 races in 2017! :)

"Thankful for the healthy/injury free year"

I'm glad I didn't suffer from any runner injury like in the past. Had a fall/minor sprain in 2015 at workplace and I had to stop running for 3 weeks? My ankle was swollen like pig trotters and it was being wrapped up by the TCM.

Fall sick very badly in 2015 too (3 days mc straight and I had a super long weekend).

So I'm really thankful for a healthy/injury free year.

"Career"

I don't know to count it as a blessing in disguise anot because within a few years, I changed my scope of work quite a few times.

来来去去the skill set is almost the same but every year I'm being allocated to do new stuffs. It's as good as restarting because I have to 'forget' the old one, and absorb the 'new' one like a sponge.

To learn new stuff is always good because I won't get bored of doing the same old stuff again. But the learning curve is really steep. The upcoming milestones/deadline scare the shit out of everyone. So there will not be any luxury to learn things slowly.

With more responsibility coming, I can only pray to bite on and tight through. Things will probably only get better after Q2 of 2017. Sad truth :(

The only rewarding part is, I'm still getting the sense of achievement like as before when things are finally delivered and completed.

"2017"

A challenging year ahead indeed.

Still working out how to manage my time properly so I can still do what I love in the midst of the busy schedule. Probably cutting down on the number of days I run by making the distance up on LDR day(definitely weekend).

It might meant waking up on weekend mornings to go for a run too (though I dread it badly). But I guess it's all worth to do something I love? I hope I can stay motivated.

"Goodbye 2016"

Thankful for a great 2016. Time to welcome 2017 with both arms. Set some resolutions but I shall keep them to myself. One of which is definitely to keep this space 'alive' :) More interesting posts to come so please be patience and stay tune.

Hereby, wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed 2017 ahead! :)

3 Years of Running

Because of Facebook's what happen on this day feature, it reminded me that I started my running journey 3 years ago. Happy 3 Years of running to me!

Throughout these 3 years of running journey, I won't say I went through alot (as compared to those long term runners) but I've been through quite a number of up and down moments. However, all these are precious life lessons which will follow me for a very long time.

It was the first race which got me started back in 2013. Reading back my very own blogspot, I do realise I was so unfit back then. I was aiming to just do 3km run and then probably walk the rest if it's really so cmi. Since I narrowed it down to 3 m instead of the scary word 5km), it does sounds very manageable and that's how I took the first leap of faith back then.

It was a CHALLENGE to run for long, anything more than 2km is hard. It's never easy but if you don't try you'll never know.

Hereby sharing some of the life lessons I've learned during these 3 years.

1. Not every run is the same run

There are days when your pace is much slower than usual and there are days when you feel 'lighter' and you can go faster. Listen to your body and decide the mileage for that day. If it just isn't a good run, make it a point to go again the following day then.

Many a times, it's due to the weather and also what you ate before the run that can cause your pace to get slower. Do not be dishearten because there's always another time :)

In our day to day life, not everyday is the same.  Take cooking for example, I never for once felt that the same dish I cooked on separate occasion taste the same or look the same. There are bad days and we probably can't do much about it other than to move on

2. Injuries

This is probably one of the top few most sian moments for a runner. The recovery time can take from weeks to months.

There is no point forcing yourself to go ahead because it might worsen your injuries.

I kept getting injured in the past. I've had all kinds of injuries when I first started. My feet(ankle) hurts badly because of the sudden increase in mileage per week if not it's due to 'too long never run'. My running posture was bad too and the technique was wrong.

It took me quite sometime to overcome it and not forgetting there was once when I tripped at workplace. It resulted in me resting for a month plus before I get back to pounding the pavement once again.

Hence lesson learn: To always listen to your body and do not 'gek kiang' because it leads you to nowhere good.

3. Perseverance

Easier said than done. Everyone runs for a different reason, be it for a fitter them, slimmer self and etc but when one doesn't see the results they get from running, they tend to give up.

However, results only comes when there's time and effort put into it to achieve it.

There's no easy way out other than to persevere and hang on. I used to run at a really slow pace for a start and I did find myself finding each km getting easier and also getting it done at a faster pace as times goes by.

With that, I proceed to running longer distance for every routine run and at a faster pace than before. Pushing myself to yet another level every now and then is a small achievement in life because you will be amaze by how strong your body is actually is. Comparing myself from when I first started and 3 years later, with much determination and self discipline, I did see results.

Remember this: It doesn't gets easier, you just get stronger :)

Ending off this post with a favourite picture of mine throughout these 3 years of running..

Cheers to many more years of runing!

1st quarter of 2016

I'm used to doing this kind of personal reflection and skipped doing it because of my busy schedule (I will roughly say about that later) so I reckon a quarterly reflection seems not that bad either.

I do not wish this blog to be so 'dead' in the sense there's not much personal thoughts put into in. It's getting more and more mundane at times. I do prefer to write at my dayre about my day to day rantings(and it's more private there though) but I know i should not neglect this little space of mine.

For the first quarter of 2016, I've went to take up a new skill: Driving. I can't believe I'm finally taking this leap of faith to do it but it seems like now it's the best time. If not now then when? :)

I've procrastinate about it for the longest possible time since 2012 but only get down to doing it what seems like now. Better late then never and since the wedding is over, I can finally concentrate on taking up this new skill.

Oh well, I'm proud to say I've a supportive partner who is taking his license at the same time and I'm glad we are on the same page regarding this and our future. After all, it's a skill which last a life time. Because of this, our pak tor times these days revolves around the driving school and the time spending to and fro.

Our weekends are just as busy/more busy than prepping for the wedding. #nojoke

Not to mention we have to slot in time to run errands and do housework. The exercise regime have to goes on and to squeeze time to work out 3-4 times a week is not an easy task at all. It's a challenge but I'm glad I'm still maintaining this life style even after the wedding. No slacking even though the wedding is over because keeping fit is a life time thingy.

Ending this quote which is also my mantra for 2016, a quote which I'll keep reminding myself from now on so as to keep myself going whenever I met with any challenges in life. May the remaining of 2016 be good or even better than now!

Summing up 2015, Hello 2016!

It's back to page 1/365. Hello 2016!

While I was compiling photos to sum up 2015, it felt like all these happen not long ago but actually some of which is almost a year ago. No point complaining where all the time went to, but what matter most is to have a fulfilling year :)

#throwback to some major events of 2015..

1) First CNY as Mr and Mrs in our new crib

A very different feeling to celebrate CNY especially when we are married and have moved out to live on our own. One thing to note is many places are closed during the CNY period, and I've issues eating fast food/instant noodles so often. So I do constantly remind myself to stock up my refrigerator with whatever veggie/meat especially during the CNY period just so to survive a few days.

In the past, my parents will do all these but now that I've moved out, it's time to be more independent. Not forgetting we did wrap some hong baos, prepare oranges for 拜年, did spring cleaning and put up CNY deco.

Indeed much more things to do as compare to the past, whereby I'll just wait for reunion dinner in the comfort of my old room lol. And yes, CNY 2016 is approaching really soon so it's time to get busy again.

2) First Lou Hei and Steamboat in the house

Yay to the opening ceremony of the steamboat machine given by MIL and finally using it. And also the first lou hei done in the crib. Huat ah!

You can read about my 2015's CNY celebration here
3) First time attending a Overseas Wedding

It's the first time all of us went overseas together after knowing each other for so many years. And it's also the first time we attended a overseas wedding. And that's #jasewedsclaire in May :)

Overseas wedding is definitely very different from local one due to culture and etc hence it was an eye opener for all of us.

A good getaway trip for all of us.

4) 9th Year Dating Anniversary

Had a simple anniversary celebration at our banquet venue. And that totally reminded us that we were left with 1/2 year to prepare for the wedding.

5) BKK 2015

Back to BKK after a year hiatus, seriously it should be made into a yearly affair to visit BKK.

There's always never ending places to visit in BKK or even if it's a repeated place we have visited before, we definitely don't mind going back again.

Life is good there, period.

The best part of BKK 2015 has to be attending cooking lesson in a foreign country. We have been putting what we have learnt to good use, for example our favorite tom yum soup.

I know I have not finish blogging about this travelogue but soon I hope! Time to book air tickets for BKK 2016 *wink*

6) Yoga
I'm still practicing yoga after a year. #achievementunlocked by doing outdoor yoga. Not forgetting I've a new yoga khaki now who join me at my yoga class, my sil :)

Always feels good to motivate people around me to move more, workout more and live a healthier life.

7) Running

6 races this year with a solo 15 km race all on my own. Just not long ago I was telling Derp, I can never forget this race because during the first 5 km I can barely open my eyes. It was so early in the morning and I'm running in almost pitch dark. Anyway, it was indeed a good race and I did it all alone!

Didn't really participate much in races this year due to the wedding preparation but I do hope for more races in the coming year before a little one come and join us in races :)

8) A Get-Together Session

Rare occasion when everyone in our family took time out to have a meal together. And to be honest, we never had such a 8 course meal with my MIL before too.

Oh well, it's a happy occasion so Derp and I are glad that everyone is happy at the end of the day :)

9) My Hens Night & Birthday Celebration

Haven't had a chance to blog about it yet but yes I've had my hens night and birthday celebration all in 1 night :) And here I am, looking so happy with 2 of my all time favourite cake, rainbow and red velvet cake. My girls do know me well enough!

10) Getting Customary Married!

After a year of preparation for the wedding, our customary wedding is finally over.

Having to hunt down everything by ourselves because we did not sign up any wedding package was the tiring part. And that's because we have gained experience from our ROM what we need and what we do not need. We are clear about it rather than going for those hard sell packages which are too stringent and most of the time tie down to many rules and regulation/top up.

No doubt, I will be spending sometime to blog about everything in the coming 2016. So be patience and stay tune :)

And now after summing up 2015, time to set resolutions for 2016.

In 2015, we were very cautious with our spending because of the wedding. But now that the wedding is over and we are debt-free, so in 2016, I really hope both Derp and I can
Do what we love, Love what we do.
As simple as it may sound, but very often we tend to have our own worries before doing something/making any decision.
To continue making improvement
Be it baking (since I've a proper oven now), running, yoga and everything else in life, there's still many room for improvement.
To live happily and healthily
I've injured my leg once this year and the same goes for Derp ( he's still recovering btw), we both fell seriously ill and took 3 days mc straight (indeed another personal best) in 2015.

Hence staying healthy is the most important resolution in 2016 because without health, we can't achieve any of the other resolutions we have set :)

2016, please be good and may you be an even awesome and better year!

Great Eastern Women's Run 2015

It's my 3rd time joining GEWR and yes I can't believe it's my 3rd GE run! GEWR was my first 10km 3 years back and I have never stop participating in it since then. It's one of the must-join race every year because of it's great welfare and how organized the race has always been.

What makes it more special this year is because this year is their 10th year anniversary. Hence they are giving out a very pretty memento tee for all the participants on top of their usual running singlet :)

The racepack collection was held weeks before the race day and it was held at Suntec.

I went on the 2nd day of the racepack collection and the queue was super long. It took me more than 1/2 hour to get the race pack. But at the very least, the queue was always moving hence we can't feel we were standing there for too long. Poor Derp have to queue and wait for me so I treated him to dinner after the GE race pack collection.

The queue extend till the outside of Suntec.

Almost getting in to the mall after more than 15 mins..

Finally almost there after 20 minutes of queuing outside Suntec

The goodies in the racepack.

GEWR never fail to pamper all their runners with lots of goodies :)

I love the memento tee the most!

On race day, I was late opps! Can't really remember what's the reason but I didn't make it to the first wave of the flag off. Was a little sad because I wasn't early enough to join the pacers till the finishing line but oh well, I can only depend on myself then.

Despite being late, still need to take the mandatory shot haha!

While waiting for flag off..

Spotted the sunrise which greeted us that morning. Yay to a #hazefree run :)

Having ran the route for the 3rd time, it was something not new to me. The only challenge is always about beating the sun before it come out. This is the challenge for every morning race. Hence the last few km was the most torturing part of the race.

The first 5km was a breeze but I didn't make it to my personal best timing. I decide to just listen to my body and enjoy the process since a PB is getting further and further as I progress each km.

I know Derp was there waiting for me at the usual spot, waving to me during the last few hundred meters. Since he got a camera phone now, he also took photos of me heading towards the finishing point haha!

#likeahappybird finishing the race for the 3rd time :)

Changed into my memento tee and took pic. The truth is the running singlet was all wet haha!

With Derp who have been with me throughout these 3 years of GEWR

The one who joins GEWR without fail every year even though we always ran different cat.

2013, 2014 and 2015

I must say this year medal is very chio because it's gold plated.

The only official finisher pic I have this time round. Okay I definitely look better during GEWR2014, when the photographers were not located at only the finishing point. It's not easy to look good after running nearly 10km.

Truth to be told, I was only 2 minutes away from my PB. Oh well, there's always a next time to clock a PB but I must say this is the best 10km done this year. I'm looking forward to more GE races in the near future.

Keep Calm and Get Married!

Hello December, the month of festive seasons and not forgetting the month which I've been counting down too since more than a year ago.

In less than 24 hours time. it will be The Big Day

I didn't update this space much over the past week because either I'm busy going for my appointments if not it will be chilling time with Derp. I'm glad most of the things were more or less settled hence we can spend some quality time together before the big day.

It's rare that we get to go on leave together for such a long period and not due to overseas purposes. It's less tiring than going to overseas and some more when we are overseas, we tend to be paranoid at times which cause us to be exhausted at the end of the trip. So I'm thankful for this break and we get to enjoy over this period.

To everyone, it will just be another wedding that they attend but to us, it's definitely another milestone in our life. We have put in effort to make it a wedding that's unique and memorable for us and probably remember for the rest of our life.

No regrets in slowly planning for the wedding, planning it the way we want it to be. No matter what's the outcome, it will still be a memorable event for us :)

Looking forward to see all the guests and mingle around with them because there's guests whom I've not met for really long.

We have put in our 101% in this wedding so now it's time to

November - The Final Month

过大礼 done on 31/10/15 :)

It's less than a month to the big day!

The day we have been preparing for over a year is just here in few weeks time. Can't believe how time files. At times it felt like we just booked the wedding venue and soon enough, we will be walking down the aisle at that place.

More than 90% of the wedding preparation have been completed and we are trying to tie up all the loose ends within the next few weeks. That's so because we aim to have the very last week to relax and rest well for the big day.

I will do a proper review of the various wedding vendors be it for 过大礼 or the actual day when everything is over. So many backlog to clear but once the wedding is over, I'll slowly clear them so stay tune!

Hopefully those posts won't bore you out but it's definitely useful for bride-to-be :)

My aim for November is to keep calm and be a happy bride! Easier said than done so I can only cross fingers and pray everything gonna turn out well. Even if it doesn't, it's about enjoying the process!

Can't wait for the 'reward' aka honemoon after the wedding. Probably the best way to start our 2016! Looking forward :)

#savethedate | Two More Months

Hello October!

This was suppose to be posted up few days back but I totally forgot about it. I dayre about it instead so here I am, transferring and probably adding on to what I've wrote there.

#savethedate.

No prize for guessing correctly the theme of the wedding :P

It's the final 2 months countdown! If I say I don't feel the stress, it's definitely not true. In actual fact, my stress level only keeps going up.

Many stuffs have been finalized but there are also many outstanding issues waiting to be close and can only be close during the final month.

One very good example is the guests list and seating plan.

The hardest part is not planning who to sit where because we don't have much tables. But the shuffling going on after guests have confirmed/drop out is never ending. We decide to leave it till the few weeks to do the final shuffling.

And the question I got most from people is

"When's your wedding date again?"

Oh well, we concluded we are probably the only one who will really save the date in our calendar and remember about it. We can't expect everyone to have the habit of saving the date in their calendar.

We send out the first batch of invitiation cards via snail mail few days ago. Cross fingers that we will get lesser of that question because the actual day is nearing very soon. You may call us paranoid or what, but all this questions do make us more stress lol.

"If things don't goes on as planned, it's alright. Just enjoy the process :) "

This is what we have been telling each other and constantly keeping this sentence in our mind.  It seems to be the hardest thing to do but logically speaking, we will be too busy on the day itself and we won't be aware of what went wrong.

I still remember how relief we felt when our ROM was over. Everything went as planned even though some friends were late. However, we went ahead to sign the paper since the important witnesses are around. It's not nice to delay the JP's time.

When all the guests have left and after the mini photoshoot, we went back to our hotel room to rest and it's really 'ORD'!

I should just keep calm and enjoy being the bride. Looking forward to the 'ORD' day! To all the brides to be out there, hang on! It's once in a life time so one must enjoy the process :) Fighting!

Last Quarter of 2015!

Here we go again, entering the last quarter of the year. Time flies when you get older and older. #sadtruth

Last quarter of 2015 will be the most exciting months in 2015 because the wedding is getting nearer and nearer :S We are pretty much on the track (I hope) and taking things slowly and easy. Did I mention we have settled our honeymoon? :) The air tickets is confirmed hehe! Looking forward to the trip more than anything else!

Because the big day is getting nearer, the #eatclean project has started somehow. Time to reduce the overall fat percentage in my body and that will means no junk/fast food. *cross fingers* And definitely no cutting of the time spend on working out but instead I should increase it.

I've also placed the blender (housewarming gift from the girls) in my kitchen and have been using it diligently. Up till date, I've only explore fruits like grapes, blueberries and strawberries. Because all these fruits are easier to prepare compare to apples and oranges.

Hereby presenting to you the first smoothie I've made :)

Having my grape, blueberry and strawberry smoothie while watching my favourite korean tv drama (2nd time) on TV.

Another clearer shot of it of my smoothie on another day. Feels really refreshing to drink this when weather is kind of humid these days.

I've only blogged half way about the recent BKK trip. Will be back to update really soon again :) And perhaps some wedding updates if I've the time for it. Time is running out and it's gonna be busy months ahead.

Anyway, it's the last lap of 2015 so make the full use of it if you have not done so!

August!

I kick started my August by completing a 10km race and this is probably one of the best way to start a month :)

The race was postponed due to the state funeral and I'm surprise to see the high turn up rate for the race. Though we were given the option to forfeit our run and just collect the medal, many of us still chose to run it despite all the unforeseen changes.

2 consecutive weekends were spend on participating in races (Shape and 2XU run after a few months hiatus from running).I'll blog about my experience soon. As for now, it's a 3 month break before the last few races of the year! The last few races of the year always excites me more and to me, it's the achievement of yet another healthy year in the sense I kept to my exercise regime and never give up on it.

For now, it's time to get busy with the wedding prep which probably gonna burn many more weekends. Fingers cross that our plans will goes on smoothly till the actual day.

On a lighter note, this July was very fulfilling in the sense we had our getaway to BKK which was a fruitful trip. We got to know new people from around the world (their culture and etc), learn new culinary skills, had good food and settled stuffs for wedding. Bangkok is more than just a shopping paradise for us, there are many hidden gems in that country.

I'll update all this backlog soon(hopefully) so stay tuned.

May your August be as awesome as any other months and we are down to 4 months till the end of the year. If there's resolution which you have not started, it's time to do something because it's never too late to achieve it!

Ending this reflection post with a sunrise I chanced upon on my way to work weeks back..

For everyday is a brand new day :)

Hello July and Hello Land of Smiles really soon!

Hello July!
The monthly countdown to the wedding seems to get scarier and yet exciting as time goes by. It's another 5 months to go!

June has been a productive month as we checked off many items from the to-do list :) Still very much on track but I've always got feeling there's still important stuff not done yet. Hoping to tick off few more items by end of this month! *cross fingers*

Jetting off soon...
Enough of the wedding woes, I'll be jetting off to the land of smiles in less than 10 days. Pretty much excited even though the itinerary has not been finalized yet. It's my 3rd time heading there and I still refer back to my own BKK travelogue for directions to places which I will very much love to revisit everytime I go BKK. Memory is failing me as I gets older but thankfully I did blog them down which makes it easier  for me to refer to in the future.

Slotting in a few cafes which we have not visit before for this coming trip and I think our limited stomach space will disappoint us. We'll probably stop cafe hopping after visiting 1 cafe and rather move on to walk around to digest the food.

BKK's cafes are worth going for as compares to the local ones due to the price and quality of food. Do stay tune for my BKK 2015 updates okay? :)

Happy 1 Year of Yoga!

This July marks the 1 year 'anniversary' of me practicing yoga. I'll never forget how not flexible I was in the past (I can't even straighten my legs in extended triangle pose) and I'm glad I didn't give up yoga all this while. It not only serves as a cross train activity, and very often it heals my aches from all the running.

Yay to a stronger self and what most important is that, Yoga have taught me lots about life :) It's a activity which I will like to keep it a life long journey same as running.

Some arco yoga pics (taken 2 weeks ago) from the last yoga session of yet another term...

We did many poses (most of which I've done before) and presenting to you #plankonplank

A perfect plank is done by maintaining a really flat back.

Ending this reflection post with this favorite sentence from my yoga instructor..
Engage your core and breathe...

June!

There's so much to be done in May but I was seriously sick for more than a week. Hence, all the plans were postponed :(

Not only I fell sick, Derp was sick too. So basically there's 2 sick person in the house. For me, it started from a sorethroat and developed to a high fever while at work. I managed to endure till I get home and I skipped yoga cause of that. I went to bed before 10pm that night after popping down pandaol because my head hurts alot.

The very same night, Derp was having headache too and didn't really sleep at all. The next morning, we went to see doctor together. By then, Derp was having fever too.  Doctor concluded that we have virus infection which we could have gotten from somewhere. #suay

My MC lasted for 3 days (it was 2 at first but I went back to see doctor again because I have not fully recover yet), and those 3 days were simply porridge, porridge and more porridge. We slept most our time away due to all the medication and when we are awake, we made our own meals which is porridge. I'm gonna stay away from porridge for quite sometime.

We lost some weight due to this whole saga and took us a week plus to gain back. Definitely not the right way to lose weight!

I went back to running just twice and the next moment I know, I fell sick :( Hence, not much running being done from April to May. During mid April, I fell down and in mid May, I fell sick. So much mishaps for the past 2 months.

It's only till last weekend, I'm finally back on the track. Gone were those stamina and took me sometime to slowly gain back (but still slower than before). I better buck up my training because the next race is less than 2 months away.

The pinky sky which greeted me after my run.

This totally caught me by surprise. I was walking home and I saw something bright (after running in almost complete darkness for 1/2 hour). One of the best rewards I get after running and clocking mileage for the week :)

We have now recovered and also finally back on the track for our wedding preparation. It's another half year to go (time really do flies), more things to be done but slowly we will get there.

Looking forward to our short getaway the next month. The very first time we booked a air ticket and hotel less than 2 months to the trip lol! So much for being last minute because we were so caught up with work. Taking a break from work and wedding prep.

May everyone enjoy their long weekend and have a good month ahead! Definitely the best way to start the month away, to recharge and get ready for a brand new month.

Entering May!

Hello all! I just got back from a overseas wedding (my first actually) and will definitely be blogging about it soon :) Very tiring trip but it was really fulfilling and touched to see my good friend walking down the aisle with her husband. It's not easy to have a overseas wedding which involve porting your friends/family members over, and also all the logistics that need to be done. Really 佩服 my gf!

Anyway, I haven't been updating my blog that often because my life is simply too cope up with work and on weekends it's all about resting/goofing around. Very boring life I know! lol

On a side note, it's roughly 7 more months to the big day! To be honest, if I say I'm not nervous at all, I'm being fake. I've this to-do list kept in my phone which I've been constantly updating it on-the-go and to look at what are the things that are in-progress/totally not done at all. And I've no idea why the list just gets longer and longer only

Time really flies hence I dare not procrastinate too long over certain stuff especially those which require advance booking/external vendor!

Alright enough of wedding woes, I've injured my leg few weeks back (had a fell at workplace which cause me to stay at home a few days) which resulted in me stopping running for quite sometime. I can't wait to get back the track again maybe this coming week.  *cross fingers*

For the month of May till June, I hope we can brave it through and squeeze time out to settle our wedding stuff. The next milestone will be getting my gown and suits confirm. :) Probably one of the more interesting stuff of the whole wedding prep so no complains!

Once again Hello May! And may all things goes smoothly this coming month!

8 months to go...

Goodbye first quarter of 2015! Time seems to pass by even faster now.

After the long dreading month of March, I'm so looking forward to the public holiday which is Good Friday and that being said, it's less than a month time to be flying off with Derp. A short trip ahead but one which is going to keep us really busy (not those leisure trip you can imagine), but we are treating it as a short getaway #betterthannothing

We have been so hectic with our work, wedding prep, house for the past 1 year plus so this getaway definitely comes in time. Gonna firm up details for our 2nd trip of the year by this month (which we plan it to be in July), so I can only say we are going to have a exciting 2nd half of the year. :)

No idea if there's any 3rd trip yet because if there is, it will be after our customary wedding and at the same time it might means we will not be in Singapore during the festive season. Some planning needed and in a dilemma due to hosting of xmas party this year too, ( A chance to thanks all the helpers for the wedding) but that being said, it's too early to plan for that now. Shall see how when time goes by then.

We have been bucking up on our wedding preparation for the past week and the progress seems better than before. At the very least, we are finally doing something for the customary wedding after CNY. Hopefully we can keep it up this way! RSVPs to be send out really soon #hopefully and that's one thing we want to clear for now first. 8 months to go!

At the end of the day, we will try our best to make this wedding enjoyable for all our guests of all ages :) Don't really wish to type so much about wedding stuff in case you all get bored reading all this but I'll slowly go into the details of all the vendors I've engaged in time to come.

Work just going to get busier all the way till June and I'm crossing fingers that I'll still able to keep up with my exercise regime.

That's all for now and may everyone enjoy their well deserved public holiday break! :)
