Best of Christmas Stamp Set

As the schools all start to go back many of us start to think about Christmas - there I have said it, the dreaded C word!  Just as we start planning our Christmas Crafting projects Stampin' Up! have not only released the wonderful Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue, but also given us a fantastic collection of Christmas Images for this month's Best of Stamp Set.
Get the Stunning Best of Christmas Stampin' Up! Stamps here!

How beautiful are those images!  Two of my favourite images make a return (Dasher and the lovely Father Christmas). I love the nativity scene and it has not been available in the UK before, and the new bauble image coordinates with the new Bauble Punch in the Autumn Winter Catalogue.  Fantastic!

Find Out About Friday - 10 Gems you may have missed in the new Autumn Winter Catalogue from Stampin' Up!

I am always so excited when there is a new Catalogue from Stampin' Up!  - so many new crafting goodies to play with! The new Autumn Winter Catalogue is no exception.  As a veteran of every new Catalogue Stampin' Up! have introduced in the UK I have discovered that there are two kinds of new products in every new Catalogue - those that jump right off the page at you and you know you need them - and the hidden gems - the products that you don't notice the first few times you look at the catalogue but which go on to become some of your favourite items!

For this week's Find Out About Friday we are going to look beyond all the stunning new stamp sets (Festive Flurries anyone?), the new dies (check out the Expressions Thinlets and the Envelope Liners for example), embossing folders that are not just for Christmas, the stunning new papers and the glitter and sparkling accessories (Frosted Finish Embelishments - be still my beating heart!) and take a look at my top 10 hidden gems.  These are in the order they appear in the Catalogue ...click here to see it ...
10 Gems you may have missed in the new Autumn Winter Catalogue from Stampin' Up! Contact bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk for more informaiton

1. Burlap Ribbon
on page 18.  Burlap is very fashionable right now and this ribbon is great for accessorizing and for making statement pieces - I know there are some burlap roses in my future!  Burlap will see you right through the autumn to Christmas and then onto Spring - one ribbon for all seasons!

2. White Stampin' Chalk Marker on page 20.  Ideal for writing on darker surfaces and for giving that fashionable white board look.  This permanent ink is going to look great on so many projects and I can't wait to use it with some Cherry Cobbler - you have spotted that you can get textured 12x12 card stock in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Island Indigo haven't you?

3. Seasonal Stripes 8x8 inch album with divided page protectors, journalling tags and coodinating paper and accessories on page 22.  I am so excited about this album - it is going to be great for scapping those special events or to use as an everyday album.  Add the coordinating accessories and it is going to be a great album to do a Journal Your Christmas / December Daily / Festive Project Life type project.  It would also make a wonderful gift to give someone so they can scrap their Christmas photos.
10 Gems you may have missed in the new Autumn Winter Catalogue from Stampin' Up! Contact bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk for more informaiton

4. The Paper Stacks on page 22 and 29.  These wonderful paper stacks are just the right size for cardmaking and coordinate beautifully with the Season of Style and Winter Frost Collections.  Each stack has 48 sheets of double sided papers, 24 of each two sided design.  The papers are fantastic to use for your Christmas Cards and any you have left over will look great on your non Christmas Projects too.

5. Chevron Border Punch on page 23.  Punch Stylish and stunning borders in moments, I am sure this will feature on lots of cards and scrapbook pages - both the bits that get punched out and the border itself.

6. Perforating Stampin Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade on page 24.  Idea for creating RSVP slips on all your party invitations, for creating pull off strips and tags, and how about advent calenders, this new blade works with the Rotary Attachment for your Stampin' Trimmer.

7. Season of Style This and That Designer Stickers on page 25.  These brilliant festive stickers would make a wonderful addition to your regular diary on the run into Christmas.  They would be fantastic on cards and on Scrapbook Pages and of course work beautifully with the Season of Style This and That Journal.  If you are looking to see this journal in action and want your very own Christmas Planner check out the Plan The Perfect Christmas Class here.

8. Merry Little Christmas Simply Creative Card Kit on page 27.  This wonderful kit contains everything you need for 8 luxuary Christmas Cards - all cut and ready for you to assemble!  All you need to do is stamp on your favourite greeting (or purchase the coodrinating Merry Little Christmas Stamp and save 15%) assemble, write and post!  Fab and fast.  These kits could easily be adapted for other occasions too and would make a lovely gift for someone.

9. Foil Sheets on page 28.  Add some extra shine to your projects with this highly reflective paper.  It punches beautifully and works beautifully with your big shot dies and feamelets- oh and it is Acid free so totally safe to use in your scrapbooks!

10. Goody Gear Simply Creative Kits on page 32.  Need goodie Bags in a hurry?  Let these beautiful kits take all the work out of it for you - just add a greeting (check out the Oh Goodie Set on the same page) or write your message, fill, tie and add the tags and you are good to go!  Obviously you can do more to them if you want but a great product to have on hand for last moment gift giving or as party favours.

All these products are available to order now - just email bekka@feeling-crafty.co.uk

Halloween Treat Bag

I have been having some fun playing with the spooktacularly cute Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit from the Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter Catalogue and making some Halloween Treat Bags.

You can quickly and easily make the cutest treat bags with this kit which contains 10 glassine bags, 20 double sided tags, 50 googly eyes, and 10 pieces of bakers twine in Pumkin Pie.

You could just assemble the kits and you are ready to go, but using the coordinating stamp set I decided to play a bit

Find Out About Friday - Larger Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up!

I am very excited that tomorrow I am going to be able to share the new Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue from Stampin' Up! with you.  It is 40 pages of gorgeous products to boost your seasonal crafting and I know you are going to love it!

For this week's Find Out About Friday I am going to share something with you that you may not notice when you first browse the delicious pages!  I am sure you will notice the 3 fantastic new embossing folders - one of which is a pattern I have been wishing I had for the longest time.  What many not be immediately apparent is that as well as being beautiful designs they are also larger - now I can't show you the folders themselves just yet but I can show you what they do ...
New Larger Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! See them at www.feeling-crafty.co.uk

On the left you have the impression from one of the new folders while on the right you have the impression from the Square Lattice Embossing folder which is currently available.  The new embossing folders emboss a larger area.  I have left a border around 3 of the sides so you can see I have not trimmed the edges of the embosses area

The Square Lattice Embossing Folder, like the others that are currently available give an embossed area measuring 10.5 cm x 14cm (4.1 inches x 5.5 inches)
New Larger Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! See them at www.feeling-crafty.co.uk

The new Embossing Folderes give an embossed area measuring 10.5cm x 15.5 cm (4.1 inches x 6.1 inches)
New Larger Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up! See them at www.feeling-crafty.co.uk

This extra length is going to add hugely to the versatility of the Embossing Folders and give lots of new ways of using them.  With these new folders it will be possible to emboss the whole of the front of a standard A6 card, to emboss the whole width of a 6 inch square card as well as larger die cut shapes.

I am looking forward to exploring them further and being able to share all the details of the Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue with you tomorrow - so be sure to check back then
