Still addicted

... to Tila. Now I managed to combine all the 3 things I'm fascinated about into one piece: Peyote Tila Bangle

Little bit wider than my Boho Banlge but it has the same flexibility, very easy to put on & take off. Tomorrow I'll start the tutorial, hopefully will finish it by Wednesday.

New tutorial - new game - same rules
You can try my newest tutorial for free if the random number generator likes you :)
Please leave a comment under this post and share it on your blog or Facebook profile / page. You will have 3 days to do so, the game will end on Thursday evening 20:00 pm (Central European Time: GMT +1).

Good luck everybody!

More Tila stuff and future new game

Okay, you could say I'm in kind of a Tila-fever and you have not even seen the stuff on my beading trays waiting to be shown. These little tricky squares got built in to my mind and keep my imagination occupied. I honestly don't mind it at least I'm concentrating something less stressful then swapping country in January...
Okay, here is the next one, which is technically the first one but had a very crap picture due to lack of sunshine and patience.
This one is called "Tila Time" but I'm kind of getting bored of my choice of names as far as Tila stuff is concerned. (Guess what, I also have one on my try called Tila Ribbon. May be I could just use T.Ribbon, like a decent family name.)

So, back to the main stuff, I have the tutorial for this one in my Etsy shop, but sorry guys you still have to wait for my other Tila bracelet I posted yesterday. The graphics are done for the tutorial, only instructions are missing and will finish that tomorrow.

FUTURE NEW GAME
Also I have something in my mind about a new game as the first game I had on my blog was extremely successful. I'm still getting huge hit on THAT post with the free Peyote patterns. Well, obviously I can't give away all my patterns for free to everybody, but I will do for on lucky guy (randomly picked of course) who will comment on my future post - I will post when I finished the tutorial - and shares it with others. Okay, this was one complex and long sentence. The point is, I will make a blog post probably tomorrow about the new tutorial and just leave a comment and post it on your blog or Facebook and you can be the winner of my newest tutorial.
We will see how it goes and I may do this game for my other new tutorials too. What do you think?

My summer holiday and my not two-faced pendants

First of all I have to warn you this is going to be a LONG post.
So, my summer holiday happened to be this weekend. No kidding. It was not planed or anything and I did not even leave my flat other than getting stuffs from the local store but I had the laziest 3 days since I moved back to Hungary. On Saturday I even watched two of my favourite films: Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. On Sunday I partially watched life of Brian. Meaning: my sister was watching it and to see the parts I particularly love I rushed to the living room every 10-15 minutes. You can guess not much work was done that day...
But no doubt, magic happens because beside all the laziness + my sister being here on holiday + my Babe is going slightly hyper because of the heat I still managed to do some beading. Okay technically nothing new (only the colors), but you don't have to know about that, do you? Did I mention my mission about getting the tutorial done for all my pendants?

I will start with the end result, and than the story how I got there:

You may remember this pendant I uploaded to my blog some time ago: I used to call it Brigid but I just could not get used to it, so I had to find a different name. More about this later.

I started to bead a second color version for the tutorial. That was particularly hot day so I went for the cold colors. It turned out like an ice cube pendant. At this time I noticed how different the front from the back. Funnily enough when I uploaded it to my Facebook page I got most of the nice comment on the BACK of the pendant :)

I thoght maybe they can't see the front because all the similar color beads. No problem, I have more beads to use. The result is below:

Now they (my FB friends) liked Both side. From this moment my pendant did not have a front and a back side, it had two front sides instead :)  I turned to Allan and said I'm in trouble with the name. I REALLY can't call this "Two face", can I? It is just so negative... Allan said why not call them Gemini then? So let me introduce you to my new pendant

GEMINI

This is the last version, with all opaque beads. The closest to my heart right now. (I gave up sayin "my favourite" a long time ago. I had too many...) I did this to see wether I could use Swarovski cubes instead of Miyuki. It worked out as you can see :)
This is the first front side:

And this is the second front side:

I think this last version shows how different the two sides are.
Right now I'm working on the tutorial, I'm about half way done.

Hope you will like Gemini and will be fun and joy to bead it up :)
Have a great Tuesday!

Facebook Fever

Yeah, it reached me too. I tried to resist but I lost...
To be honest, I've seen that people around me use FB to make their PERSONAL life completely open to anybody. It was just too weird for me. Worse than a blog. No Privacy any more in your life.

Than it hit me: there are thousands of beaders out there and how great it would be to know what they are up to! So now what my personal profile used to be is an FDEkszer beading fan profile. I keep connecting friends from all over the planet and feels so good to find like minded and check out their fantastic beadwork!

If I have not found you yet, you can make the first step too :)

Now in the mean time - even if I seemed to be very quiet - we are working very hard to get all the patterns available to our customers on all the different sites. I hope this part of our job will be done very soon because I miss beading very much. Converting our patterns to loom is a huge job even if it seems great fun. We have nearly 300 patterns to convert and make a PDF for the Loom Pattern, than upload them to all the sites we sell beading patterns.

On etsy we have a separate Loom shop :
FDEkszer Loom Patterns with nearly 90 patterns available.

Our Artfire shop FDEkszer got a completely new look. Allan designed everything, I think it looks fantastic. He also started to upload the Loom patterns and will add some new everyday.

Here are the two latest addition on Artfire and Etsy:

ARTFIRE:

The Camomile Lawn

ETSY

As always, I appreciate every comment and feedback.
Have a great Monday!

I'm setting up my Artfire shop

I've spent most of my day to finish the shop sections in my Artfire shop. I'm a seller there for about a year but went pro only now when they had the group deal. I think this was one of the best decision I made. :) Today I had my first sale since I'm pro. No surprise here, since I've changed Black Gold to Tarnished Nature this is one of my fellow beaders favourite pattern:

I JUST LOVE THE WHOLE SITE.

I set up a proper fan page for FDEkszer on Facebook:
FDEkszer on Facebook

Also updated the Twitter account, so now it shows our name too :) If you like cool jewellery I teweeted 5 fantastic bracelet from Artfire today :)
FDEkszer on Twitter

To be honest I'm still learning both sites but this whole social networking really seems like a fantastic opportunity for crafters and artists.

In the mean time my father-in-law is here from Scotland, and guess what, he doesn't speak Hungarian, so I'm a full time interpreter too :)

Tomorrow I will be out, we are going to visit one of the most fantastic cave in Hungary. Hope the weather stays sunny, I hate rain and clouds.

Hugs,
Viki
