2015 Goodguys Columbus. The Hotrods.

Vintage track T re-purposed.
Past Riddler winner.  One of my favorites.
The wife of Bobby Alloway owns this super nice Porsche.

Riley OHC V8 race engine.  It sounded fantastic!
My dad's 42 Willys.

V8 bug.  What could go wrong?!

Injected Boss 429 for power.  Sounded awesome!

Huge show this year in spite of iffy weather.  I read that something like 6500 cars showed up!  I'm going to try and put cars in categories but that isn't always easy.  Many cars fall into more than one category.  Unfortunately my photos of the pros pics didn't turn out very well.  I was using my cell phone and the lighting inside the building presented some challenges!

Davenport 2013.

Just got back from the Davenport meet last night.  Had a great time.  Got caught up with some friends and met a few new ones.  The 27 J engine is in the hands of Matt Olsen along with my freshly rebuilt Schebler carb.  I spent a ton of money after paying for the carb and handing over a deposit for the engine rebuild and all I came home with was a t-shirt!  It was hot as hell this year.  Temps near 100 degrees.  We decided to watch the races Friday night.  Between the heat and the long mostly senseless pauses between events we left early.  They really need a better announcer and to move things along at a faster pace.  We were surprised to find that a go-kart race was being held in the streets of Rock Island Illinois.  We stayed only a block from the course.  Saturday morning we watched practice and then headed home.
