u guys watched Infernal Affairs III.... keke then chuien bought the part I and II in kuching... so means he's intending to watch part III when he's back la.. i also watched a bit while stoning in the hotel.. kekek and i get wat u guys mean by confused by those flashing parts... kekekek

i had a relaxing time at kuching... there wasn't anything to buy cos their shopping there is... eeerrr... basically, everything was planned nicely by chuien's dada.. hotels, transport... where to eat etc... and he kinda paid for everything... so pai seh... plus their family is so big... sigh... mua not used to going out with so many ppl together la... keke

we felt even more guility when the 1st day, we had a car accident after picking up us from the airport... his dad was driving... luckily the car tt we were driving at tt time is those big n tough overlander (jeep kind)... so no one was hurt... but the jeep is quite badly damaged... kanna hit from the side by those huge trucks (those tt carry sand or cement)... so i can't imagine if we were jus in a norm sedan car... sure gone case man... anyway, everyone is safe la... so scary...

ok la... me so tired typing already... fill u guys in when meet up la... so when can meet up ah?

After watching Matilda on HBO we went out to the Esplanade to watch Corrine May and she was damn helluva good! It's just amazing the songs she writes.... I teared at like so many of her songs lor...the lyrics are really touching. Will be looking for her album(s?) soon!

Hrm....after tt I went home and Avi went for dinner. Think now my eye something wrong cos spent the whole day just straining it and watching stuff....not tt I'm really complaining la cos it was a perfectly nice day to nua. ;p

So quiet so I thought I'd post something.

Andrea and I had a very interesting time on Saturday. First of all, two very sleepyheads woke up at about 930am to watch the 1020am Infernal Affairs III at Tampines Mall. Of course, being sleepyheads, Andrea rushed there in a cab while I was frightfully late, having taken the MRT and the bus.

We were late for the show (no thanks to my dwadling..) and walked into the cinema at least 10 minutes after the show started. That was the beginning of a very "HUH" day. The show flitted back and forth scenes, confusing us. We kept whispering to each other in the cinema, wondering what the hell was happening in every scene.

When the show ended, we continued our discussion of the plot en route Parkway where we bought butter (for my bread!!) and picked up my photos. Then we headed to my home where we had a nice lunch of two french loaves, brie cheese, irish butter and a vegetable stew (courtesy of Chonghan). We topped it off with chilled grapes. Heh.

Then we started watching Infernal Affairs II. Wah lau, even more HUHs and some "OHHH I get it now"s... hehe but we were left without an iota of doubt that Edison Chen is cute and Shawn Yue is attitudinal, Carina Lau has hardly aged and Tony Leung looks like he just turned 30 (and not almost 40).

We then had more of Eric Tsang as we watched Peter Chan's gender bending comedy,He's a Woman, She's a Man II. Thus started the discussion of how some people look good as both man and woman (like Anita Yuen) while how some people look better as the opposite gender (like Anita Mui).

Then we had popcorn while watching Mathilda on HBO.

And I'm too tired to continue blogging, Andrea can fill you guys in on the rest. Heheh

Yo! Sorry but I can't make it for the 27th too! My Grandpa just "informed" us over dinner today that we have a lunch appointment with him on Saturday. He wants to bring me and me cousin out for lunch since we both just returned from US ( where all the food suck!!!). Boh Pian lor... that kind of thing cannot say no one! Like imperial edict! And dad and mom also want to dine with me that night. No choice, too popular liao! So think we shall meet up some other time lah! And also, me think me going to Australia (Adeliade) for uni... Avi, can see you down-under liao! I'll treat you to wine if you come visit me (seems like that's what that area's famous for...) Oh, did you all notice that we are all finally back in Singapore? Wow!

Saturday the 27th is still on. We can still have dinner and Chonghan u are free to hang out wif me and come with me to the musical if u want so tt u won't have to "waste" ur evening at home.

But anyway. Avi and I have decided that we will still meet on sat, at her place and have lunch and eat while watching Infernal Affairs 2 and maybe some other movie. Then in the evening we will go out to watch Infernal Affairs 3. Since u all cannot make up ur mind to do what u are free to join us on our program for tt day. ;p

I miss asian food... had Thai food last night and it was sooooo good! The tom yam tasted better than back home and the rice... yummy! Never had so much rice in years! And lucky I was smart to order the "small" rice coz they served it in a tub! Imagine I ordered "big"! Can't even imagine... and the hostel that I lived in yesterday and the day before feels scary and huanted. It did feel better towards the end but initially, it was...... will show you all the footages when i'm back!

Yo1 I'm now in Chicago! The uni campus is so nice lor! Like some medivial castle! But it's like so cold here lor! With snow left melting on the pavement. Anything food will be nice. Other than burger, pizzas, and oily, greasy american food (my... can you even call it food?!) You all decide and let me know...

I sure look forward to chilling in front of the telly man. Coz I'll be working straight for 6 days before the 27th and from experience, I usually just crash in bed till noon and on the couch thereafter.

So what are we going to eat? My mum said something to the effect of "Don't come home and zo luan lah. Go out and eat something nice. My treat". Haha, now try holding her to her word a week later. Don't think it will work. Anyways, let's decide on something simple a-okay?

Now, let's see... Since it's xmas, we need a log cake! Then there's the turkey... must make sure that the meat is still tender and moist, not over baked hor! Must also have a lot of stuffing... Not the commercial kind! Must be home-made with lots of onions, brussel sprouts, carrots and pumpkin! Then there must be rack of lamb... with mint sauce... and applesauce! Not forgetting the honey baked ham, cheese (bire) and french loaf. Throw in fresh veggies too! With vinegar and olive oil dressing... or thousand islands... For dessert, we must have xmas fruit cake and pudding and warm chocolate fudge cake (the kind that have half melted chocolate oozing out with every bite...Oh! And drowned in bailey's irish cream)! And of course... logcake washed down with Eggnoc!

There, I think that should be enough...

So what you all think? Great menu or what? So get busy girls! You have 3 weeks to plan, prepare, experiment, read, learn, try, feed / poison someone...

Basically it's something about how my housemate now has 2 homes. One in Singapore and one in Melbourne. And the fengshui master said that her real home is in Singapore so she shouldn't make Melbourne too much like her home in Singapore.

So she must have as little possessions as possible. Hence the selling of the car. And sending the dog back to Singapore by late October. So that this home here in Melbourne will seem like a 'temporary residence' instead of the 'home' that she has created.

Hello everyone!!! Me finally here!!! OK, the car thing right, you should have ignored him and make the report! My mom once got so pissed off with the driver who keptswitching lanes and finally, cut into her lane without signal lights that she stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and accused the driver of switching lanes dangerously... then of course both refuse to pay and so kena police report. In the end, court case and the man was deemed driving racklessly and was made to pay for the damages. Serve him rite for trying that on my mom!

stupid idiot!!! out to ka you only... really think you all should have just went to make the police report... eh... is it cause your lic not one yr yet? then your dad scared you kana? sighs... wat an idiot... i mean tat stupid guy...

ok! here's the final episode of my car story!(i hope) met the disgusting guy today! hearing from how i describe him, u should know it's none of a pleasant meeting. his car only got small scratch... oh... i wouldn;t even say it's a scratch! the paint merely came off lor! n he dare to say tt he ask e mechanic n they tell him tt to repair it, takes bout 180~200!!!!!!!!! wat the hell? it is really too much lor. mine didn't cost tt much when i had a greater damage then his! n it almost ended like quite bad! both parties wanted to jus leave n make a report.. which he doesn't haf a case as well, cos it has been so long n he's not supposed to park there initially! then b4 he left, he said somethin like at least must compensate him 110-120. so my dad say ok la! so gave him 120! sigh... i still think it's too much lor! anyway, really hope everything ends here... no more trouble man!

I think they have tea tasting with refreshments for abt $8 only...but of course I'm treating la, no matter what it is so it's really up to u all to decide what u all wanna do. I think the tea tasting will be fun but then I'm not quite sure whether u all are gian wif the idea la.

The other option is to go somewhere for a high tea or dinner or sthg....OR alternatively we all cld have steamboat or teppanyaki by ourselves la! So, depending on what u all wanna do then I'll plan accordingly lor. So how so how?

Andrea Yip's debut perf is coming up on monday the 18th of Aug 2003 at Siglap South CC at 8pm sharp! She will be presenting songs by Stephen Sondheim(he wrote West Side Story, rem the "I feel pretty" song? Among other productions are Into the woods, Company etc.) together with a group of another talented 6 pple. They have journeyed together on a course called Interpreting Sondheim which involves learning many songs and how to present them theatrically. Sounds interesting, no?

It will be an hour's performance of fun and laughter and perhaps tears. You are all cordially invited as her wonderful guests... (other halves also allowed, but muz gimme the exact no so tt I can inform the organisers) so who's onz about it?

The Three Golliwogs. Most Enid Blyton stuff.

2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with [your] children?
All that Greek and Chinese mythology that I read. And this big Bible parables book that I used to love. And oh, Aesop Fables and 1001 Arabian Nights. You can tell, I used to be a sucker for fairytales. Still am, in a certain sense. I like the thought of mysticism. Magic.

3. Have you re-read any of those childhood stories and been surprised by anything?
Not really.

4. How old were you when you first learned to read?
3. My mum insisted on making me read "Peter and Jane" and used flash cards to teach me.

5. Do you remember the first 'grown-up' book you read? How old were you?
I think I was 7 or 8. I think it was some Barbara Taylor Bradford book. But while I could read every single word there, I didn't understand most of what was going on.

aiyo... yesterday i went Fish & Co to eat.. ordered a Teriyaki Salmon! then reached home, straight away diahorrea!! whole night cannot sleep, keep running to the toilet! till now not yet ok lor! then my parents left for genting, so i got to cook my own porridge, settle my own meals!! sob sob... i think the salmon is either not very fresh or not cooked enough lor.. so pls... if u ever order tt, pls make sure it's cooked...
