It's Been A While...

It has been a while indeed. 3 years since my last post. Was wondering if I'd ever get back to this blog. Guess there was too much happening in my life and I got too lazy to write.

Since the last post, I have gotten married, changed jobs twice and am now waiting for my new house to be completed.

Am 2 months into my new job now, and while I am not working directly in the Arts/Creative Industries, I have had the opportunity to be close to the Arts once again. This time, from the angle of Arts Education. Just spent an entire week at Lasalle College of the Arts, and I really really miss being involved, surrounded by pple who are creative and passionate about what they are doing.

Ok, maybe in my last job, the uniformed officers were quite creative, and some of them were quite passionate about their work. But Arty pple are just so much more colourful and interesting. The school has an amazing energy and excitement about it. Makes me want to take up a course, or job in the sector again.

But first, maybe I will start writing (typing) again.

We learn sthg new everyday. Today I learnt that, just cos a dude's got a nice car, and tons of money in his bank account doesn't make him any better than the average guy on the street. In fact, it makes him worse. Cos sometimes, u can take the villager out of the village, but not the other way round. I do think, however, that this may actually make for quite an interesting anthropological study. Heh.

Anyway, 12 down, 8 more to go.

Haizzz... it never rains but pours man. And one must really be careful for what one wishes for. God seems to be answering my prayers all at once. 搞唔點啊! But the most impt one is still not happening :S

Felt like my head was going to explode today. Had so many things to do!

1) Have breakfast with WQ and H to discuss Cambodia trip
2) Meet Sam during lunch to sign some insurance thing
3) Buy cake for tonight's dinner
4) Rush back to office to plough through files just to find some stupid info which was needed 'urgently' (which, in the end wasn't used today cos SD wasn't free!)
5) Pass docs to credit card courier
6) Dinner at the old man's house
7) Supper with the handsome bartender

And during lunch I ended up having to settle Wed's lunch and dinner appts and the bestbuy pple delivering my stuff.

What a bloody monday!!!

OH! I FORGOT TO SAY THAT I PASSED MY GRADE 4 GUITAR EXAM WITH DISTINCTION!!! Distinction ok!! First time taking guitar exam! WHEEEEEEEE!!!
