Laura's visit

Now that Laura and Brian are officially back in Utah (though still waiting to close of their new house in St George), they came up for a little visit. The real purpose of the visit was for Brian to report to the National Guard now that is 'out' of the Air Force, but it was nice to see Laura too! Cai and Lucas didn't always get along. Sadly, Cai gets along much better with pacifists and push-overs than with kids that have opinions and lean towards hard-headed, like himself. Laura was great to help me with a bit of basement organization while Tiago slept, but it would have been easier without having to mediate when Cai's selfishness erupted. Some playdates are easy and some aren't. We're working on it and that's all I can do. I was glad to have a visit, but I think we were both glad to get those two away from each other!

RSL with green court friends

I was the appointed ticket redeemer for my family and also the Phillips and the Nogueiras. Cai stayed and played with Cohen while Tiago and I braved the long line. It was all worth it in the end for a fun night with friends and futebol!

RSL supporter section with a special visit from Leo!

Not only did we did have the excitement of sitting in the supporter section with all the drums, but my friend Brandon was kind enough to send Leo the Lion over to specifically say hi to the boys. Super fun! As if that weren't good enough, we also got to witness the special proposal of the couple sitting next to us. What a night!

Aquarium

Tiago loved his first trip to the aquarium. He ooed and awed and gasped and pointed. The older boys also had a good time seeing all the changes, like the addition of sharks that they could touch.

Dezi's Olympic Birthday Party

Prepare yourself for A LOT of photos! I figured I'd try to take at least one photo of each kid while also trying to show all the different event sthat we had going on at the party. We had high jump, pole vault, long jump, running long jump, discus, shot put, archery, shooting, racing and hurdles. The kids had a great time and we were grateful for all the help from neighbors, friends and even cousin Katie. Dezi had a fantastic time. The donut 'medals' were perfect and I couldn't have asked for any more fun. It was all worth the effort to see all the smiles!
