Ah, Christmas morning with kids. It's a wonderful thing. We got everything set up before going to bed. The calm before the storm...
The boys LOVED Christmas morning and so did I! (Read below for Cai's disappointing moment) Everyone got great presents. Even though I try to avoid excess, it seems to happen every year! Seeing their happy faces always makes all the work worth it. I don't ever want them to grow up.
Santa really came through for Dezi with his last minute request for Aang's Avatar staff and he was ecstatic what we got him his dreamy dual spinning light saber. Cai was a different story. He left Santa and us in a bit of a pinch with his strange requests. He told him he wanted a remote control polar bear (?!). When I questioned this at home, he said he was joking and that he really wanted a remote control cactus with real stickers! What a little nut. Santa brought him the Ultimate Clone Trooper blaster, which he was happy with until he realized that Dezi got awesome presents from Santa and us. The present Cai for from us was a little building set that he looked at for a nano second before moving on (obviously, not interested...oops). He spent the rest of the weekend wishing he had the dual spinning lightsaber. He was finally promised one on Monday in exchange for a few of his old toys plus trades on a new toy or two. Lesson learned: get the boys identical presents even if Cai seems to want nothing in particular!
