Show and Tell Tuesday: Purse

I thought I was going to be able to link up this bag all finished for last week's Show and Tell Tuesday. I thought I knew how to put the strap on the way I wanted...but I didn't. I just could not get the strap to work with the zipper closure the way I thought it should. So I ripped the strap out several times, and finally just remade it and attached it on the outside.


Overall, I like the way it turned out. The size has been good so far and I like the fabric (Amy Butler Lacework Lotus in Olive). The purse closes with a zipper at the top and has two interior pockets.

Any tips on attaching a strap with the zipper closure at the top? I'd love your suggestions!

Not a big zipper person, so I don't really have suggestions. I do love that fabric though. =) I still have a little piece of it in my stash.

Pinterest has some great pins for bag making bags and tutorials...you could Google it for tutes as well. I admire your determination through Italy and the fabric is very pretty!

Congratulations on finishing the bag. I've never done a zipper closure so I can't help you, sorry. It looks very good, though, and I'm impressed that you did and re-did until you were happy with it.
