Eye Beauty Tips From Experts - What Your Skin Care Regimen Might Be Missing

The skin around our eyes is easily one of the most neglected areas in our body. Little did we know that this part of our body should receive a lot of attention and tender loving care. You see, this area has significantly thinner skin. Unlike other parts of our skin, it does not contain fat. The rest of our dermis can withstand damages for a longer period of time because there is fat that absorbs most of the damages and impact. In addition to that, the lack of fat disables it from holding on to moisture which is why it is more susceptible to skin dryness.

Tip 1: Do not just use your average moisturizer
If you have an anti-aging moisturizer, it may not work in much the same fashion for the skin around your peepers. You need a product that has been specifically formulated to fight signs of skin aging around our peepers.

Make sure it has ingredients specific to eye problems such as Eyeliss, Haloxyl and CynergyTK. Eyeliss promotes the plumpness of dermis tissues as it provides natural peptides. Haloxyl is what reduces skin sagging, eyebags and dark circles under our peepers. It prevents the appearance of haemoglobin. CynergyTK wards off wrinkles by supplying keratin which is responsible for the normal regrowing cycle of collagen and elastin.

Tip 2: Vitamin C is not good
Many experts find topical treatment of Vitamin C to the dermis around the eyes not only ineffective but also quite harmful. This is because Vitamin C is an acid and the thin layer of skin around our eyes will burn when subjected to topical Vitamin C solutions. If you are using a moisturizer with Vitamin C, make sure you avoid the eye area and use a different cream for that.

Tip 3: Natural pampering works
It helps a lot to pamper this part of our body. After a long week of work, use an eye mask at the end of the week. You can try applying honey. Leave it on for a few minutes before washing it off. If it is a little puffy, stick two spoons in the refrigerator and when it is already chilled, place it on your peepers. It will automatically depuff it.
