New Zealand Day 4!!

I have finally overcome the inertia to blog! cos today is a HAPPY DAY? WHY? Because me and ah nan won money at the Christchurch casino!!! hohoho.. we had a half day today..so we decided to visit the Christchurch casino today, (cos there's a free shuttle there!) and we played the $1 roulette! Haha..and we invested $5 each..and won $5!! Which means we doubled our investments in 5 minutes! fantastic!

But then later we played the $2 jackpot=20 credits machine..and lost everything! haha..but nvm..cos net gain is still 3 dollies! haha.. we wanted to play the $1 big-small table, but it was not open till 6pm and we were famished and sel wasn't feeling so well, so we decided to proceed to dinner instead!

Anyway I'm very happy...because we have discovered another free thing in the city, which is the intra-city shuttle that brings us to the supermarket..Pak-and-save!Fantastic.. haha... now can escape from the cold...

anyway I realized that in winter countries, the nights are really very boring, cos there's always nothing much to do. like all the shops are closed by 6pm..and there are no good tv shows at night either..so do what? SIANNESS...but nvm! Cos this weekend we are going to hanmer springs for some thermal spa and horse trekking! hopefully the horsetrekking would not be too ex!

Pre-flight jitters

Oh my gosh! It's been so long since I blogged.. haha..so my chatterbox invariably died again (3rd time in like half a year or something). Well, I think nevermind la, maybe I'll start it up when I start blogging more hardworking-ly.

Anyway I can hardly believe it because I'm leaving for New Zealand in like..10 daysss!!! My goodness, is it really 10 days? Lemme see, now I like to play the game of..."oh my gosh, it's been how long how long since we went there/we met up/we talked/we thought of something". So, it's been one year plus since we first like applied to do our electives in New Zealand. And now it's in 10 days!! My goodness. And so much happened in the past 1 year, it's well... amazing/scary/eggciting/unbelieveable!

But then ah... really eh, time really is like zooming zooming zooming. That day I saw the photo me, sel, toe and yc took at axis bar and I cannot believe we took it in Dec 2006. 2006?! where did 2007 go to?!?!

This is scary. And then I keep saying...it's like another year before our MBBS. And then I'm pretty sure it will be here before I know it too! OH MY OH MY

Anyway, it's been so long since I updated!

So I shall update about Batam trip. So this time me, xifu, YC and Chris-se went to batam. First time for YC and second time for the rest of us! Once again, I cannot believe that it's been 6 months since our last time. 6 months?! Where did the time go to?!?!?!

But anyway many things happened in this trip. But I think it would suffice to say that I've yet again discovered that I'm a junkie for efficiency and am perhaps the most impatient person alive. Haha...I can actually be irritated with pple on a volunteer trip, where of course the spirit of volunterism and team-work is most impt! But obviously not for me.. haha... nvm, I'm in the process of self-reflection!

once again the food there was fantastica. Esp. the A&W fries and root beer float!!! hoho.... fantastica...and really tissue-paper-thin tissue prata.

And of course there was the slightly spooky incident. Where me and yingci were nicely snugged up in our hotel/hostel room and were about to fall asleep. Then suddenly, we heard some like renovation sounds coming from somewhere above our room. And then there was the sounds of pple walking around with noisy shoes, and like dragging some chairs across the room.

Then yingci commented "so late upstairs still got renovations??"
And then I just said "huh..what upstairs? this is top floor what"

haha..and with that...we were both super spooked out. But yet again, luckily we managed to distract ourselves with some bitching.. haha..and managed to fall asleep!!!

ok... maybe I'll blog more in New Zealand!!!

To a greater 2008

Oh every new year horoscope book I've read so far is great...and my motto in life tells me that you must believe people when they say good things! haha..so this year will be a great year for the cowsss!!! *MOOOO* every horoscope book I've read says this year will be great in terms of career, studies, love life, friendships and wealth for the cow...so GREEEAAATTT!!!! :)

Hoho... anyway I shall update my blog because someone keeps saying I'm lazy and don't wanna update!! I've decided to update some random photos first so I don't have to type so much!!!

In october...the 3 girls went to hongkong where we ate too much for our own good!!! But it was fun! Well hopefully we can have enough money for more luxurious trips like this!
We ate till sel had stomache-ache...
Till et had angina....
Till yingci became constipated....
But we still ate somemore...and that's how we became such happy girls on the hong kong trip!!!

And...et is always ready for more food...cos we must LIVE FOR FUN!!! So call me along for more buffets and mahjongs in the upcoming slack months of electives!! :)

And... this is a happy 2008 to one and all!!!

My god... blogging takes so much patience! haha... luckily kerly has many many patience or I'll have no entertainment at all during exam periods!!! haha.. anyway call me for more mahjong during the cny period! have more fun everybody!

Oh baby...I have officially entered the time zone that DOESN'T move... and like the patho exam will never come. See, it's not that I want it to come, because I think I can be a lot more prepared than I actually am now, but on the other hand, my productivity has dropped to sooooo low that I might as well not be studying..but I can't! Because I keep forgetting everything I JUST studied..AHHH.... fuck

please let it come and end so that I can move on to other things that I wanna do in my life!!!

I would like to go out shopping, talk on the phone, buy many things, play mahjong, have fun and have a life without feeling guilty!!! AHHHHH... I keep thinking...like if they give us 5 weeks of study break for the exam..then does it mean we have to keep studying all 5 weeks then can do well? Cos...out of the 5 weeks..i think I spent like half of it playing...BABY....AHHHHH

so terrible...if I wanna specialize next time, then I'll never move into the period of working where I don't have to study after I come home. and after work=totally relaxed. REALLY? Oh baby... what have I done to myself!! TERRIBLE! siao liao la..........then I think I shall be GP larh...or something else...haha like maybe be a zookeeper and take care of seals all day...

but nvm...I shall think more short term...patho first...patho first...

Oh I haven't updated in so long! I think no one tagged for so long they decided to take off the tag board again! sian...I decided to update suddenly..cos I'm too edgy to study...from TOO much nescafe...

Oh it's terrible... in the last 3 weeks I drink nescafe everyday...until I think they have accumulated in my system and cannot be detoxed out at all..I was measuring my heart rate, sitting down, doing NOTHING..at rest..and it's 102/min! It's terrible isn't it... my poor myocardium is overworking so much, but I cannot slow down my heart rate...how?

Then I tried to take an afternoon nap, but cannot, cos all I can feel is palpitations! So terrible, this is the effect of too much nescafe, no lunch, and too much pots and slides. BAH.

Anyway I must tell the funny story of a school girl at an ATM in junction 8 just now. So just now me and Yingci went to J8 to eat lunch after looking at too much pots.. but I needed to draw money, so I went to the UOB ATM. And waited patiently for this schoolgirl to use the ATM. She was like drawing money and calling someone, looking a bit distressed.

so I heard her say...
"but papa, I really cannot get the money out, did you help me deposit the money a not? "
"you deposit $500? really?"

Then the money spit the card out, and she tried again and kept asking her dad if he deposited the money, and this went on for like a while...until the machine spat the card out again...

So I got a bit curious and went closer to take a look..and I saw..the machine spat out a POSB ATM card...*FAINT* She's at a UOB atm eh..of course cannot larh!

SO i went ahead and tried to tell her...

"eh miss..."
kana ignored...
"erm...miss...excuse me?"
kana ignored...
*et taps her shoulder*
kana ignored somemore...and she just stand in front of the ATM and continue whine to her dad

OMG !#*&^@#&^*
so I decided to forget it and go POSB ATM to draw money...

Then....2 minutes later...I see her at the POSB ATM queue also...

whoa...faint...

Updates!

Since I managed to get myself a new chatterbox..the last one died for no obvious reason...I decided to post something new too!

I didn't realize that the cruise post was like on October 8th! Which is like the start of October..which means that about 2 WHOLE MONTHS have passed since!!! Oh dreadful... I wanna go back to the cruise again! those were really such fun times...I think maybe the best holidays happen when you have the least expectation for that holiday... lemme see..so I think sofar my best holidays have been phuket in october 2006!!! And this cruise!

Oh...I wanna have more great holidays! but the way to do it is...spontaneity!!! So may me and my friends have more spontaneity!

Anyway just a quick update....(but I have no idea who not in medicine actually reads this blog) but well...I've been doing paediatrics posting the past 5 weeks...(which means 2 more weeks to go..before the test...URGHURGHURHG
7 month
Well I've learnt something from those kids I guess...that they have SUPER VIRULENT BUGS...I've been sick like 3 times in the last 2 months! This is terrible! Must be all the DA and clerking and you have to be super friendly to the kid...and before you know it...they COUGH in your face... BAHURGH

But well other than that actually the kids are rather cute...that is..before 7 months when they develop stranger anxiety and start WAILING the moment you approach their cot..and of course like after 2 or 3 years old..there are some REALLY cute girls too...that ask for stickers and stick them ALL over their jackets till there's no more space and then ask for somemore..oh dearie... can't understand HOW anyone can be nasty to kids... but oh well, maybe if the kid is with you 24/7 and wails every other hour yeah then maybe

But i go out of point... well paeds posting has been alright... I conclude that after conquering medicine posting at SGH last year, nothing can get me down. Cos if I can survive That Great Depression I can survive anything..

Well... 3 more weeks then! To end of paeds posting and more! Hee...

I love cruising!!!

So me and my family took a weekend off to go on superstar virgo to celebrate me mummy's birthday!!! And it just says how much I love to go on cruises...when I'm having GE and puking my guts out...BUT I still had damn a lot of fun at the cruise with my family!!! Like damn suay, I had to fall sick JUST before I went onboard, and of all things, GE somemore...with lots of nausea + lots of vomiting + diarrhoea...but oh what the heck.. star cruises rock my world!!!

I just love the star cruises, for some strange inexplicable reason.

I remember the first time I went on the superstar virgo was with Kajie, janice and Gena! And I was sick that time also, I had some fever. But then gena still dragged me to the Christmas countdown party and some champagne cured me of all illness!

Heh..and I remember having so much fun that I was contemplating a career with star cruises at that point. Cos I thought it was so cool that those staff pple like they were waitresses in the morning, or some restaurant manager, but then at night they double up as like hosts of events at some place called "galaxy of the stars" where you know they have line-dancing and things like that. But then that was young and naive me, now come to think of it, it will be better to have a job where you don't have to double up as anything and at night you can just sleep right? But still, it would be a job worth loving right!

Anyway so yes, it's a testament to how much I love cruises. Cos I had to fall sick the day JUST before I went on the cruise but I still had a lot of fun. I love my family!!!! More photos for now then!! Shall blog about the funny waiter another day.
