Eagle Project

Matthew carried out his Eagle project on May 5, 2012 at Hawthorne Elementary School.
ET attended Hawthorne as a young boy. Kimberly, Katie, and Carie also went to Hawthorne with their Brown cousins - Tia, Haley, Cassidy, Clark & Bennett.  Matthew attended for 2 days but we opted for another school that was offering half-day kindergarten instead of the full day.
Anyway - we have fond memories of this old school and were excited when they told us of their need for updating the safety paint on the door radius and all along their cement.

Grandpa & Grandma & Uncle Curt came early to help blow and prep.

There was a great turn out - about 65 people!
Matthew demonstrated how to paint the radius and linear lines.

This is what it looked like before and after.

Courtney was the official water girl!

Everyone split into groups and started painting.

Bennet and CJ.

Carie helping to wipe up a little overspray.

Three generations of Clarks!
We are so grateful for Grandpa & Grandma & all their love and support!

So many family members, friends and neighbors came to support.

We took this picture of Br. Friesen (age 78) and Kevin Nielsen (age 1) - the oldest and youngest volunteers at Matthew's eagle project.

Cassidy and Katie doing a dumpster run.

Matthew & the Shills beginning the clean up.

Setting out the tacos -
After all, it was Cinco de Mayo!

Finishing up a job well done!
