Pink ombre and white for Spring

There's nothing quite like wearing a beautifully crisp, white cotton outfit, in the Spring time. It adds style this time of year, and it never fails to uplift my spirits! To bring white bang up to date, wear ultra feminine embroidered and embellished cotton pieces, teamed with vibrant coloured tights to make your girly outfit pop.

We loved the look at Ruffian's show at London Fashion Week, particularly the white ensemble with colour tights. We have picked some designer and high-street pieces so you can re-create the look. It's so pretty, unique and makes the perfect outfit for a special occasion, this Spring time.

We were all so excited for the arrival of the new Jonathan Aston Nikki Dip Dye Tights, offering a colourful dip dyed look in pink soda. These gorgeous ombre tights will really stand out against white, or team them with another block colour such as grey, black, or a clashing bright purple! Show off graduating colour change in the print tights with a shorter hemline at informal occasions, or create a casual and fun weekend look.

We chose some sky scraper sandals to nail the funky tights and sandals look but if you're not keen on adopting this new trend then team your coloured tights with some feminine pointed court shoes.

Colour Pop at New York Fashion Week 2014

Since it began last week we have been on NYFW watch here at Essex'ee Legs! I've been devouring the press updates from each show, the street style snippets of glamorous celeb spectators and keeping an eye on newly emerging trends.

One trend that really jumped out was the pops of vibrant colour used by designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais (the designers behind Ruffian) and Altuzarra.

Shining like a welcoming beacon amid the shades of grey, black and other neutral tones that have so far dominated the runways, both labels presented a refreshingly vibrant and beautiful AW14 collections.

We were excited to see coloured tights featuring heavily in Ruffian's collection. Lots of block colouring and clashing brights made up the ultra-feminine line and illuminated the runway. A cinched in waist and flared skirt was my particular favourite recurring look!

Baby you're a firework!

All this week the Essex'ee Legs team will be celebrating all things sparkly and colourful to join in the festivities of bonfire night! Reminiscing about fireworks and huddling round a bonfire with family and friends, always brings back childhood memories! I'm sure we all remember being told the story of Guy Fawkes...caught red handed ready to light 36 barrels of gun powder in the Houses of Parliament on the 5th of November 1605, Guy Fawkes was captured and executed. Such a heart-warming story! Bonfires were lit to celebrate the kings safety, so the 5th of November has been traditionally celebrated every year since, albeit a little more elaborately.

If you're attending a friends bonfire party or a spectacular firework event, be sure to wrap up warm and wear some colour tights to add an explosion of vibrancy to your outfit ;) Jonathan Aston 40 Denier Opaque Tights are cosy and are available in 4 bright colours.

If you're throwing your own bonfire bash then here's our idea of firework party heaven...

String as many lights and bunting along your fences and tree's as you can for some enchanting decor. Lanterns and blankets will keep you warm along with the bonfire and hot chocolate :) Hot spiced apple rum punch for the adults wouldn't go a miss too! Stuff yourselves with hot dogs, pumpkin pie and smores! Whoever came up with the idea of smores is a genius! Simply toast your marshmallows on the bonfire, take a piece of chocolate and sandwich between to biscuits- Delicious!

So layer up with some fabulous colour hosiery and cosy knits, have fun and enjoy the fireworks, safely :)

Inject some colour with rainbow brights

Following the beautiful sunshine and soaring temperatures in London, yesterday, today the sun has took her hat off and the heavens have opened :( Here's a burst of colour to brighten up your day and your wardrobe on any grey autumn day.

Shopped 'til we dropped! Jonathan Aston, Charnos, Levante new season!

Essex'ee Legs were invited along to view the new season styles from Jonathan Aston, Levante and Charnos. Dressed for the occasion in our heels and Jonathan Aston hosiery, off we trotted in the sunshine to the exclusive sneak peak in Cavendish Square, Oxford Street.

Inside was a treasure trove of gorgeous new prints and styles...

This made it very difficult to pick what we wanted to add to our growing, collection of hosiery. After much deliberation, over some delicious chocolate brownies, we finally made some decisions and began shopping!

We are now excitedly awaiting the arrival of a diverse range of funky print tights, unique fashion tights, delicate flower hold ups and over the knee tights, plus lace leggings, colour tights and more. The new collection will begin to arrive from December, with gorgeous new arrivals continuing through to March. Feast your eyes on some of the new designs...

Charnos have also designed a range of plus size tights and socks that we are very excited about. The new Xelence range is designed with both comfort and fashion in mind to flatter womens curves. The collection will be available in sizes 16 up to 32 and will be featured later in the blog, and available from our website as soon as we receive them!

For our outing I wore Office pointed suede courts, a daisy print tea dress from Asos and Jonathan Aston Opaque Back Seam Tights which have either a grey or red seam. Anne wore Jonathan Aston Back Seam and Heel Hold Ups and a poppy print tea dress from M&Co. Both available now at Essex'ee Legs.
